"Sage is getting signed into RA academy." Elsey paused to stare into space.
Levi opened the bottle and sucked its content dry with just a few heavy gulps.
Elsey leaned against her desk. Studying Levi's face. "You're both in my top tier. Different styles, but both ready."
Levi set the bottle down. "Ready for what?"
"To debut." She said it like it was obvious.
"That's what all this drilling has been for. You think I waste my time on people who want to stay hobbyists?"
"Where do you plan to debut?"
Levi lowered the bottle to the ground, by his side.
"Well…"
"RA is an obvious choice. Biggest reach, most resources." She watched his face carefully, then continued.
"But that's where your brother is."
Levi raised his head to meet her.
"Yeah. But that's not where I'm going."
She sighed, then took out her phone. "Levi, you see, the thing is. I have more meaningful connections in RA than there."
Levi blinked to pity the rest of her invaluable connections there.
