Noah held Damian's gaze, ignoring the others. His chin dipped slightly. "You are asking me to legally reaffirm something I allegedly decided years ago. In front of witnesses. With notarization."

Damian maintained his composure, but the coldness in his eyes intensified. "Yes. Because investors are asking if you've changed your mind. If you've made... emotional decisions. Under stress." The word 'emotional' was delivered with a faint, sympathetic downturn of his mouth, the very picture of polite concern masking a profound insult.

Adrian seized the opening, leaning forward so that his voice dropped to a quiet, earnest pitch, as if sharing a secret only with his brother. His brow was furrowed, the picture of sincere worry. "Noah. Brother. Have you changed the succession plan?"
