Three days had passed since Marcus walked back into Thug Music Group and turned the industry on its head.
Levi stepped out of Marcus's office, leaving the older man to his phone call. He'd caught Elsey's name before he closed the door—Marcus's voice had that particular tone he reserved for old colleagues, equal parts affection and exasperation.
The warehouse floor opened up before him, all exposed brick and industrial steel beams cutting across the high ceiling. Morning light poured through the tall windows, catching dust motes that drifted lazily through the air. This place didn't feel anything like Thug's sterile glass fishbowl. It felt lived-in already, despite only being opened this morning.
Down on the main floor, organized chaos reigned.
