In fact, the basis of all this still hinges on that paradox.
As the holder of the Black Gold Diary, Natasha Romanoff knows that Su Che is a superhero from a parallel world. But she wants to pretend she only knows Su Che is the Silver Moon Knight, not his parallel world origin.
So this time, she not only found Su Che but also called Steve over. The key point is that the Sokovia HYDRA issue, on the surface, is primarily aimed at Steve—to let him figure out a solution!
As Captain America, Steve is the most familiar with HYDRA among them all. After all, Steve is HYDRA's biggest rival. Regardless of the era, Steve is a thorn in HYDRA's side!
So, it very much looks like Natasha Romanoff is seeking Captain America's help!
Well, at least on the surface.
But in reality, Natasha Romanoff's true target is Su Che. Because through the Black Gold Diary, Natasha Romanoff "knows" Su Che's true identity. So she believes Su Che definitely has a way to justifiably uncover the HYDRA incidents in Sokovia while bypassing Wanda and Pietro.
And Natasha Romanoff knows that as long as it involves Wanda and Pietro, Su Che will definitely not stand idly by!
See? Killing two birds with one stone. It can not only protect Wanda and Pietro but also get Su Che to act without letting him know that she "knows" his true identity!
For now, at least, Steve looks contemplative as he listens, as if he's thinking of countermeasures. But Su Che has obviously become serious—at least on the surface.
Su Che can also sense Natasha Romanoff's roundabout way of seeking a solution. Natasha Romanoff is indeed convinced of his identity as the "parallel world Avenger." This is a good thing; at least it means his established persona is very solid.
On ordinary days, it might not matter—Su Che can be himself if he wants. But once something happens, like this sudden event now, Su Che knows he has to come up with some substantial ideas. This way, he can make his persona more realistic!
"This matter truly cannot involve the twins Wanda and Pietro," Steve, sitting beside Su Che, said seriously to Su Che and Natasha Romanoff. "Wanda and Pietro are only fifteen years old."
"Although they joined HYDRA, they were very young at the time and didn't understand what HYDRA represents at all."
"Secondly, I truly understand them. They lost their parents when they were eight years old. I don't know how much effort and hardship they had to endure just to survive."
"So, it's not their fault that they joined HYDRA—whether it was because they didn't know the situation or just wanted a bite to eat!"
"Now, they finally have a new life and hard-won hope. We must not ruin their future because of this incident."
Having said that, Steve took a deep breath. Then he turned to look at Su Che: "Su, what Natasha means is that she's worried if we directly destroy the HYDRA base, any hidden HYDRA forces in the world might, after discovering the Sokovia base is destroyed, possibly connect it to Wanda and Pietro. This kind of possibility cannot be said not to exist."
"Even if there's only a one-in-ten-thousand chance, we can't gamble!"
"So Su, your intelligence is very high. Do you have any way to justifiably discover the Sokovia HYDRA base while bypassing the twins Wanda and Pietro?"
Listening to Steve's question, Natasha Romanoff immediately fixed her eyes on Su Che. If she weren't the holder of the Black Gold Diary—and thus unable to disclose this situation to non-holders, including Su Che himself—Natasha, who was very worried about Wanda and Pietro, would have long ago confessed to Su Che that she knew his true identity!
Well, Steve definitely believes Su Che can do it. He is full of confidence in Su Che. After all, in his cognition, only he knows this world. Su and he are the same kind of person. It's just that one was frozen for nearly seventy years, and the other's former world was destroyed!
So, facing Steve's confident gaze and Natasha Romanoff's very serious expression, Su Che knows it's time to come up with some substantial ideas!
"Stern!"
He took out his phone, opened a search page, found the identity information and photos of Senator Stern, and showed them to the two.
"Senator Stern?" Looking at the several photos of Senator Stern displayed on the screen, Natasha Romanoff asked Su Che curiously, "Is this related to him?"
"Definitely. As far as I know, this Senator Stern is ostensibly a member of the Senate, but his actual identity is also one of the members of HYDRA!" Looking at the two, Su Che showed a rare expression of seriousness: "If you want to bypass Wanda and Pietro to discover and destroy the HYDRA base, then Congressman Stern is the best scapegoat!"
"Tony has been investigating some anonymous accounts on Obadiah Stane's private channels for some time. If we can take advantage of this opportunity, we can bring Congressman Stern in and make his account one of the private accounts Tony investigates."
"Then there's a reason for discovering the HYDRA base in Sokovia. After all, his identity as HYDRA is the best clue!"
Hearing Su Che's words, Natasha Romanoff's eyes immediately lit up: "I'll handle this. Isn't it just making Stern's account appear as one of Obadiah Stane's private channel accounts? It's easy for me!"
Natasha Romanoff knew Su Che definitely had a way—a reasonable, justifiable method that no HYDRA member could find fault with during the investigation! After all, as one of the Avengers from a parallel world, Su Che must have fought them countless times!
Of course, there are things that should be asked to maintain the appearance that she doesn't know Su Che's true identity!
"Su, how did you know that Senator Stern is a member of HYDRA?" Looking at Su Che, Natasha Romanoff pretended to be curious and asked.
Hearing Natasha Romanoff's deliberate inquiry, Su Che pretended to ponder for a moment: "I have some private channels!"
"Alright, don't ask about this matter, Natasha. Since this is very simple for you, then I'll trouble you to bring this Congressman Stern into it!" Steve, on the side, seeing Natasha Romanoff's curious look, intentionally interrupted.
Well, as friends, and as the only person who knows Su Che's true identity, Steve felt that if Su didn't want to tell the "truth," then he had to smooth things over for him!
Hearing what Steve said, Natasha Romanoff nodded: "Okay, leave this to me! But I need your cooperation!"
Looking at Steve, Natasha Romanoff smiled.
Well, sure enough, Steve knows Su's true identity. Otherwise, he wouldn't be covering for Su like this!
Tsk... A table of three people, each thinking they know the truth, and each still hiding the "truth" they know! Not to mention, it's pretty interesting!
