Worried that Nancy might still be upset, Nevaeh hadn't said much on the phone earlier.
As she got out of the car, she muttered through gritted teeth, "I'll kill him."
Before she could storm off, Finlay stepped in front of her with a teasing smile. "Come on, with those little arms and legs of yours, you'd be lucky if you didn't get yourself killed first."
"You!" Nancy raised her fist angrily, her cheeks puffing up in frustration.
Finlay didn't even flinch. "Please, that tiny punch of yours wouldn't even hurt a fly. Relax, Cassius already took care of him."
Nancy's eyes narrowed suspiciously. "And what exactly did he do?"
Finlay froze. "What do you mean, what did he do? What important thing could a man like that possibly have left?"
Nancy's gaze slowly drifted down toward Finlay's stomach, realization dawning on her face.
