"Brother Xie!"
The group's lively atmosphere was suddenly cut short when a crew member shouted out Xie Xi Yan's name. The others glanced at each other before keeping their gazes on the crew member.
"Xiao Si," Xie Xi Yan greeted the crew. "Why are you here?" He glanced at the tractor a few times, wondering if the crew was going to tell them that they could not use the machine to complete their task.
"It's like this." Xiao Si looked at both Ning Wei and He Zhen. "Ning Wei and He Zhen will have to leave now. There's another game they need to join." His gaze shifted to Ai Lun. "As for Ai Lun and Liu Zhu, the two of them are exempted from joining as they won immunity from the last cooking contest."
"Xiao Si…" Xie Xi Yan inched closer to the crew. "What sort of game did the producer plan this time?"
Xiao Si laughed. "I can't tell you. The producer will announce the game later. Brother Xie, we should go now. The others should have arrived." He gestured towards the truck on the side. "Come on."
"You heard him." Xie Xi Yan turned to both Ning Wei and He Zhen. We need to go now."
After saying a few words to Ai Lun, the three of them leave the area and head to the next shooting location.
As announced previously, the producer will call them at random. They are going to play some games in between working on the farm. If they win the game, a special reward will await them.
When they arrived, the team from the other side was all gathered except for Liu Zhu. As the winner of the previous cooking contest, Liu Zhu did not have to show up, just like Ai Lun.
"Are you ready for the next game?" The producer announced with a Cheshire Cat's smile on his face. He stepped to the side to reveal a table full of vegetables behind him.
The producer explained briefly about their new mission.
This time, the two groups were expected to go live to sell the vegetables from H-Town. The group that managed to sell the fastest will win the round and will receive a special reward.
The crew quickly set the station for the members to sell their vegetables..
Each member had their own station and a long list of vegetables they needed to sell.
Ning Wei looked at the vegetables before putting on a smile for the camera. When she logged in, the number of viewers could be counted with one hand. Ning Wei announced that she was in the middle of shooting a program and that the producer made her sell some vegetables.
A few passersby scrolled through the site and came across her channel. Initially, the viewers only stay to watch such a pretty face selling vegetables. Later, someone quickly recognized that the vegetable seller was none other than Ning Wei, a member of a recently popular group called DAWN.
The person wrote on her social media to announce that Ning Wei was live on a different channel. It did not take too long for the news to spread.
Soon, Ning Wei's fans came to the channel to see if the poster was telling the truth.
The viewers' count slowly rose.
Ning Wei saw her name on the screen and waved. "Yes. Hello. This is Ning Wei."
The fans went crazy on the chat, hoping to catch Ning Wei's attention once they learned that she was the real person. However, there were a few others who thought that the person on the screen was just a lookalike. They demanded that she show proof that she was the real deal.
Ning Wei chuckled when she saw the chat channel. "You want me to show proof. But how do I do that? What can I do for you?"
The viewers went crazy again. Everyone was throwing some ideas on what Ning Wei could do to prove her identity.
"You want me to show my abs?" Ning Wei laughed. "I can't do that. This is a family show. I don't want to get banned."
"Showing abs is not that inappropriate, alright?" A fan argued.
"That's right," another fan chimed in. "Ning Wei, if you show us your abs, I will buy all the vegetables you sell."
The fans went crazy, asking Ning Wei to show her abs.
The corner of Ning Wei's lips started to twitch.
She could do anything else but lift her shirt and show her skin. If she lifted her shirt, there was a huge chance that the others would notice the bandage on top. Ning Wei was not that crazy to expose her secret like this.
But her fans still wanted her to show her skin.
Actually, there was a reason why her fans were crazy to see her abs.
Previously, Ai Lun, Ding Chuan, and Wu Lian Jie had a photoshoot where they showed their abs. Not long after, DAWN's fans realized that they had never seen Ning Wei showing off her skin.
Ning Wei's fans began to make noise. But Ning Wei told her fans that showing off a bit of her skin would be very expensive.
Some fans said they were willing to pay, but Ning Wei pretended as if she did not see them.
"Let me see…" Ning Wei decided to change the subject. "Someone else had proposed a good idea. I saw someone asking me to sing to prove my identity. What do you think?"
There were a few who started to complain. However, Ning Wei pretended as if she did not see them. She cleared her throat and started to sing a soundtrack from a popular drama. Her melodious but slightly hoarse voice made her fans stop arguing.
Listening to Ning Wei singing let them know that the person on the screen was indeed Ning Wei from DAWN.
Ning Wei stopped once she reached the chorus. Then, she flashed a lopsided smile and said, "Now, can you believe that I am indeed Ning Wei?"
"Yes. Ning Wei, I believe that you are the real Ning Wei." A fan typed.
"That voice. I can recognize it. It's Ning Wei."
"Why did you stop singing? Ning Wei, please continue."
"I just got here. Ning Wei, please sing another song."
"Guys, I saw that Ding Chuan and Wu Lian Jie are also live."
The chat was discussing both Ding Chuan and Wu Lian Jie. Fortunately, the discussion did not last for too long, as they quickly left to find Ding Chuan and Wu Lian Jie's channel.
Ning Wei sighed, seeing that the number of views had dropped slightly. She quickly adjusted her emotions and put on a smile again. Ning Wei told herself that she should not forget her mission. This time, she went on live to sell the vegetables.
