The assistant looked up to see his colleague stop at his table. The colleague slid into the seat across him before peeking at the lunch box he brought with him.
"Hmm…" Assistant Xiao Jin flashed a smile that did not reach his eyes.
The colleague sighed. "I admire your dedication. I can't live without eating meat dishes for a day." He picked up a piece of meat in his tray and ate it.
Assistant Xiao Jin swallowed. He too wanted to eat meat freely like his colleague. However, he had too many vegetarian dishes at home. If he did not eat them, they would spoil, and his mother would beat him for wasting food.
