Qing Ke's attention was no longer on the television. Her mind was occupied with her daughter's matters. It wasn't until she heard the ringing of her phone that Qing Ke finally snapped out of her thoughts. She reached for her phone by her side and was surprised to see Fu Ming Shi's name on the screen.
It was rare for Fu Ming Shi to call her number.
"Miss Qing?" Fu Ming Shi spoke as the phone call was connected.
"Mhm… It's me."
"Is Ning Wei with you?" Fu Ming Shi asked. "I tried to reach her number, but she was not picking up my phone call."
"Wei Wei went out a few minutes ago," Qing Ke said. "Why are you looking for her? Is there something important?" Qing Ke was beginning to worry that Ning Wei might miss out on something important. "Do you need me to deliver a message to her?"
"I just want to update her on her upcoming schedule," Fu Ming Shi said. His brow furrowed when he thought of Ning Wei going out alone at a time like this.
