Chapter 166: Kokon Tengan
A thunderous pressure covered a large portion of the abandoned city. Shayleaf jumped in surprise, her eyes wide with awe as excitement surged through her. Tongsheng too felt joy, watching the fluctuating power with keen interest.
Even Shayleaf's familiars were astonished.
Corvin sat cross-legged, trembling as he looked up at the sky. Though his cultivation was only at Silver Tier 3, the sheer might pressing down on him filled him with both fear and determination. Still, he felt proud to be under the banner of such a powerful mistress—and to see her companions reveal strength of this magnitude only deepened his resolve.
Cromlan, who had been practicing a martial skill nearby, suddenly collapsed to one knee, shivering with a mixture of dread and ambition. Like Corvin, he too was Silver Tier 3, and he thought to himself that he must keep up or be left behind.
Prawna, further out, hunted in her semi-transformed state: a bipedal panther with gleaming green and gold fur, her body curvaceous yet lithe, her face strikingly beautiful. She froze mid-step as she sensed the pressure, awe flickering across her feline eyes. But even amid reverence, her desire to mate with Elton burned strong—especially now that she could feel his energy resonating with Christy's breakthrough. Her eyes glinted with hunger as she resumed her hunt. She stood stronger than the other familiars at Silver Tier 4, an exceptional talent among demonic beasts, much to Corvin and Cromlan's bitter dissatisfaction.
Though envious, the two men couldn't complain. Compared to their former lives, their rebirth under Shayleaf had blessed them with talent far beyond what they once possessed.
After a time, the pressure finally vanished, and silence returned.
Inside, Christy sat weakly within Elton's embrace, her eyes closed but her lips curled into a gentle, blissful smile. Elton silently held her close, firm yet delicate.
After a moment of quiet, Christy spoke, her voice full of gratitude.
"Thank you, Gege. You've really helped me. Not only me, but my entire branch of the family… I finally achieved one of our lifelong goals. And I've done it before even stepping into the Mortal Lord Realm… Thank you, my dear Gege."
Elton's heart fluttered, a rare warmth filling his chest. He smiled softly.
"Of course. I'll do anything I can for my friends, my allies, and for… my woman."
Christy trembled in his arms, her eyes suddenly brimming with tears as they fluttered open. A faint rumbling echoed faintly around them.
She shifted in his lap, gazing at him with affection. Her eyes—no longer the red starry glow of the Aka Boshi no Tengan—had transformed into something far more profound.
Her irises glowed a molten crimson, burning with intensity. From their depths, brilliant white-hot sparks erupted and spiraled into intricate stellar patterns, encryptions of condensed magic woven into her gaze. A faint indigo halo, like the vast void of space, framed her pupils, containing the blazing power within.
Elton shuddered faintly under that gaze. For a brief moment, he felt its suppressive might, before being drawn in completely by the affection and devotion emanating from her eyes.
Slowly, their faces drew closer, caught up in each other's presence. Their lips finally met.
At first their kiss was hesitant, uncertain, but it quickly grew natural and fervent. Christy turned fully in his lap, throwing her arms around his neck, her legs wrapped tight around his waist. Elton's arms encircled her, pressing her against him as their tongues intertwined in a passionate dance.
For two whole minutes, they lost themselves in each other. Elton's body reacted instinctively, the heat of his arousal pressing against her as they ground together. Christy's body trembled with longing, her eyes glazing over with hunger for more.
Just as the moment threatened to spiral beyond control, Elton abruptly broke away, taking a shaky breath.
"C-Chris… let's stop here. We can't go any further—not yet."
Christy clung tightly to him, her voice breathless and pleading.
"Gege, there's no need to wait. Let's continue…"
"N-No, Chris!" Elton stammered, flustered but resolute. "Now isn't the time. We should only go through with it once everything else is settled—our families, our clans, all of it."
Christy's lips trembled, her voice rising in frustration.
"Why?! I don't care about any of that! I don't care about anything outside of you! Why deny me now, Gege?!"
Her aura flared, fury and heartbreak swirling together. Elton's chest ached as he saw her expression, and before she could spiral further, he swept her into his arms, pinning her gently against the wall.
Her breath caught, her face flushing bright red as her anger melted into shyness. She could hardly meet his gaze.
"I'm telling you once more," Elton said firmly. "We won't cross that line yet. But when the time is right—when everything is in order—I'll give myself to you fully, and you'll give yourself to me. We'll satisfy each other completely. Do you understand?"
Christy's eyes widened, her heart melting at his words and sincerity. Blushing fiercely, she meekly nodded.
"Yes… my incredible Gege…"
Later that night, the group gathered together in excitement as Christy revealed her newly evolved eyes.
No longer the Aka Boshi no Tengan, they were now the Kokon no Tengan. At will, she could suppress them back into their previous state to conserve power, but even then, her starry eyes were perpetually active—never dormant as they once were.
"Jeez, Sister Chris! You've become so powerful!" Shayleaf exclaimed, hugging her. "If it weren't for the enchanted weighted clothes holding you back, I'd say you already rival an Early Mortal Lord! The Kokon no Tengan is terrifying!"
"Indeed. It's as frightening as Milord himself when he goes all out," Tongsheng said with a smile.
Christy smiled shyly, sneaking a glance at Elton from the corner of her eyes. "Hehe… maybe so."
"Eh?" Shayleaf suddenly frowned suspiciously. "Brother Elly, Sister Chris… did you two cross any lines..?"
Both Elton and Christy leapt up, blushing furiously.
"N-N-NO! We didn't! Not yet!" Christy yelped.
"R-Right! I stopped us before it happened!" Elton added quickly.
Shayleaf's jaw dropped. "You stopped? You mean you were really that close?! Ehhhhh!?"
"Gege! Why would you say that?!" Christy shouted, face burning.
"I-I didn't mean it like that! Plus it was your fault, Chris!"
"I mean… I can't deny it but still—!"
"Enough already!! You're making me so jealous!" Shayleaf wailed, stomping her foot like a child throwing a tantrum.
Tongsheng laughed softly, watching the scene with warmth. Yet in her eyes, a faint desire flickered as she quietly glanced at Elton and Christy.
