The chaos on Earth rages on, but in the peaceful realm beyond, a quiet conversation takes place. Lyra, now a conscious entity of pure light, gets out of the floating ethereal egg. She faces the immense, serene god with the blindfold.
"My poor baby. You work harder to apologize," the god whispers, their voice filled with a timeless sorrow. "You have sealed the chaos, but your world is once again tearing itself apart."
"I am the keeper of the pact, and my responsibility is to the world," Lyra says, her voice clear and strong. "A boy, Aki, is fighting for a world he believes in. My essence is at peace, but he is not. The Ethershifters, and the chaos they have unleashed, will destroy everything we fought for."
She bows her head. "I ask your permission to transfer my powers to him, to help him and his friends. He is pure of heart, and I am the only one who can give him the strength he needs. I may not be able to go back, but my power can."
The god is silent for a moment, their blindfolded face unreadable. Then, they reach out a hand and touch the ethereal egg. The egg glows brightly, and from it, a single, golden mote of light breaks off and streaks back toward the world below, a gift from a god to a boy.
The god then touches Lyra's forehead, their voice now filled with a deep, cosmic love. "Go, my child. The pact is sealed. You have our blessing. Now, rest." Lyra's essence then fades back into the egg as a new era begins.
