I sent a short message to Eun-ji.
"Want to grab lunch together?" I asked via the text.
Why did I care about her so much...?
Hmmm...
Well, there was no point in thinking about it.
I went downstairs and approached the reception desk.
"Is Eun-ji around?" I asked.
"She just left, sir. She said she had another appointment," the receptionist replied politely.
Meanwhile, in the basement, rows of cars were neatly parked. In one of the cars, Hye-jin and Min-ho were busy with an activity.
"Why is this happening? I don't get it... I'm so annoyed, seriously!" Hye-jin grumbled angrily.
"Plok! Plok! Plok!"
"Ahhhhh... why was that person's transfer canceled?!" she continued, her face filled with emotion.
"Haaaah... hey babe, can you just focus on me now?" Min-ho said, his breath ragged, his hips moving back and forth.
"No! This doesn't make sense," Hye-jin replied loudly. A little saliva dripped, but her eyes were full of anger.
"I mean... I clearly heard the conversation between the team leader and the branch manager!"
"Haaaaa... okay, okay, and then?" Min-ho asked, his expression starting to flush, his body tense with pleasure.
His hip movements got faster.
"Plok! Plok! Plok!"
"Ahhhhh... hey, wait, wait!" Hye-jin exclaimed, suddenly changing positions.
"What now? Haaarrhhh..." Min-ho replied, almost out of control.
"Just be quiet for a second!" Hye-jin cut in sharply.
At the same time, the team leader Na-young and I went down to the basement using the elevator.
We walked towards her car, which was parked a little far in the corner. I immediately got into the car, and a short time later, it drove out of the basement.
"I have to follow them..." Hye-jin said quickly.
"Ah, fuck, what the hell is this?! Why do we have to follow them? You always get your way!" Min-ho snapped, annoyed.
But even while grumbling, he quickly put on his seatbelt and started the car's engine. He sped up, chasing Team Leader Na-young's car.
"Just shut up! Actually, a little while ago..." Hye-jin said, then began to tell her story.
Hye-jin's memory flashed back to her conversation with Soo-jin while making coffee in the pantry.
"Lately, it seems like there's something going on between Team Leader Na-young and Mr. Joon-ki..." Soo-jin said while stirring her coffee.
"...So what? They're probably just discussing the hidden camera issue from back then, right? The team leader must still suspect Mr. Joon-ki is the culprit," Hye-jin replied indifferently, also stirring her coffee.
Soo-jin turned, her face serious.
"No, no... it's not like that. You know, last night I..."
"Basically, that fat pig is usually easy to get gossip out of," Hye-jin said coldly. "But now I have to see for myself... who knows, maybe what she's saying is true."
"A pig, huh...?" Min-ho muttered dreamily, imagining Soo-jin's curvy body in her tight red skirt.
"But it's weird... if there really is something between the two of them... I mean, like they're sleeping together?" Hye-jin continued, feeling suspicious.
She snorted in annoyance, then spoke loudly.
"Why would someone like the team leader choose a guy who looks like the blind man from the ghost cave?! It would be better if she chose you, right?"
"That's right, the team leader would be better off with me..." Min-ho said, then quickly covered his mouth. "Oops, sorry," he added quickly, seeing Hye-jin's expression immediately turn angry.
"Do you really like the team leader that much?" Hye-jin asked testily.
"If she's that tempting in your eyes... then you should just be with her!"
Cold sweat immediately appeared on Min-ho's skin. His face tensed up.
"Ah... no way... But yeah, if the team leader is into Joon-ki, I can understand it."
"What do you mean?" Hye-jin asked suspiciously.
"I once saw him when we went to the bathroom together... I'm not lying, his... whoa, his penis is huge." Min-ho answered with an awkward expression.
"That's disgusting, you know..." Hye-jin scoffed. "Look at that! Just like I said, there must be something going on between them!" she said, pointing towards Team Leader Na-young's car.
After a long drive, the team leader Na-young and I finally arrived at a hotel. We both got out and entered the lobby.
"Let's follow them inside!" Hye-jin said.
"Inside?" Min-ho looked stunned.
"This is a good opportunity to find material on him. Because this time, I'm going to make sure that blind man from the ghost cave gets out of this company for good!" Hye-jin replied, her voice filled with vengeance.
"And I also feel sorry for the team leader... it's a big mistake for her to get close to trash like him, hehehe..." she continued with a mocking laugh.
They entered and followed from behind, keeping their distance.
"Where are they?" Hye-jin whispered.
"Over there..." Min-ho said, pointing towards the receptionist.
The team leader and I stopped in front of the reception desk to check in.
Hye-jin and Min-ho quickly hid in a corner of the room.
"What are you going to do?" Min-ho asked.
"So it can be evidence to kick that bastard out," Hye-jin replied, taking out her phone and starting to record secretly.
I walked with the team leader carrying a bag towards the elevator.
"Wait a minute..." Team Leader Na-young said, her expression looking suspicious. She felt like someone was following them. She quickly steered me in another direction.
Shortly after, Hye-jin and Min-ho also walked towards the elevator.
"Huh, where'd they go?" Hye-jin muttered.
"Ms. Hye-jin?" the team leader's voice came from behind.
They both froze in shock when they saw the team leader Na-young and I standing right behind them.
"Team leader...?" Hye-jin stammered.
"What business do you two have here?" Na-young asked sternly, her hands folded under her chest.
They were still frozen in silence.
"Ah... I... we... were looking for a place to eat," Min-ho answered nervously.
"Hmmm, dinner, huh?" Na-young's tone was flat.
"Oh, I... lately the atmosphere in your department has been unpleasant, right... so I thought it would be a good idea to take her out to eat at a nice place like this..." Min-ho stammered, trying to find an excuse.
I just stared at them with a blank expression.
"And... to celebrate Mr. Joon-ki's return," Min-ho added quickly.
"And...?" Na-young pressed again.
"Of course, we'll consider this a happy occasion... hahaha. I also need to think about a lot of things, hehe." Min-ho laughed awkwardly, scratching his head.
"Hmmm, I didn't realize that Mr. Min-ho was so interested in our division," Na-young replied coldly.
"Haha... of course. I'm a team leader too, so I need this and that info for consideration," Min-ho answered quickly.
Then, he asked back, "But Team Leader Na-young, what do you need to be here for?"
Na-young glanced around for a moment, clearly looking for an excuse.
"We have a meeting with a
client today. And Mr. Joon-ki is my assistant today," she answered calmly.
"Oh... for what?" Min-ho asked, his eyes glancing at the bag I was carrying.
"A product submission," Na-young answered, with a little hesitation.
