Chapter 22 - Epilogue 1 – Under the Same Sky

The years passed quicker than we thought they would.Exams, graduations, late-night calls, long-distance phases—somehow, we survived it all.

And now, standing at the altar in a gown that made me feel like the heroine of some cheesy light novel, I looked across at the same boy who once argued with Mr. Rao just to sit beside me. The same boy who teased me about my handwriting, who searched for my bus, who tied my hair for a skit that never even happened.

Peryn.Still with that crooked smile, still with that ridiculous ability to make my heart trip over itself.

When the vows ended and the applause roared, he leaned close, whispering just for me:"Told you I'd always take care of you, didn't I?"

I laughed through tears, hitting his chest lightly. "You also told me I was going to fail French, remember?"

He grinned, pulling me closer. "And you proved me wrong. Guess I'll never stop underestimating you."

The reception blurred into laughter, music, and too many people pulling us into hugs. But when night fell and it was just us under the string lights, he spun me gently across the floor, our foreheads nearly touching.

"You know," he said, voice low, "I still can't believe you actually confessed to me first."

My cheeks heated even after all these years. "Don't remind me."

But his arms tightened around me, and his eyes softened."I'm glad you did. Because from that day on, everything felt right."

Above us, the sky was wide and endless, dotted with stars. Just like the day of that long-forgotten blood moon, except this time… we weren't looking at it alone.

We were together. Always.

And in that moment, I realized—this wasn't just the end of our story. It was the beginning of every chapter still waiting for us.
