Chapter 131 - Chapter 131: Displaying Talent

"Young Master Silas, this way please…"

Under Uncle Koi's guidance, Silas and Selene walked side by side along a long forest path within the estate.

As for Dr. Magnus, he had already hurried back to continue his unfinished experiment.

"Hmph, that annoying dad… all he cares about is experiments every single day~"

Selene kicked a pebble along the path, her tone full of dissatisfaction.

Uncle Koi calmly defended his master.

"Miss, please understand. The master is the pillar of the Solans family. And this project is a collaboration with the Devon Corporation."

As a butler, it was his duty to smooth tensions.

In truth, if not for Uncle Koi's years of quiet mediation, the relationship between father and daughter might have long since grown strained.

"Young Master Silas, this is your room."

After walking through a long, luxurious corridor and turning through several hallways, they stopped at a second-floor guest room.

Silas smiled politely at the butler before following Selene inside.

"Big Brother Silas, this used to be my room when I was little…"

Silas stepped inside.

The room was filled with a soft, feminine atmosphere. White and pastel pink dominated the décor, and plush dolls were scattered across the floor.

Selene flushed slightly.

She quickly stuck out her tongue and hurriedly gathered the dolls into a nearby chest. And so, Silas settled into life at the Solans estate.

It had to be said that the League's great families were truly wealthy.

There were only three members in this household. Yet hundreds of servants worked within the estate.

Across from the manor stood a fenced-off research facility.

Ever since returning that day, Dr. Magnus had practically locked himself inside. Researchers frequently moved in and out.

.....

As noon approached, Silas stared intently at the black sludge inside a glass container.

This was one of the spoils he had taken from the couple who had ambushed him in the desert.

He had been so busy preparing energy formulas and breeding materials that he had almost forgotten about it.

"Now… just add the toxin extracted from Ariados' venom sac."

Wearing special insulated gloves, Silas carefully dripped a single drop of purple toxin into the mixture.

The black sludge reacted slightly.

"One final step. Low-temperature sealing for twenty-four hours."

He removed his gloves, satisfied, and began organizing the scattered instruments and vials on the table.

Just then-

"Big Brother Silas~ sele brought you lunch!"

Selene's clear, cheerful voice came from the doorway.

She carried a tray with a steaming bowl of noodles.

Simple in appearance. But Silas knew better.

The meat sauce was made from specially processed Torchic meat , prepared through complex techniques. Expensive.

"Selene, thank you for the meal. I won't refuse."

He truly wouldn't.Over the past few days, his taste buds had been thoroughly conquered.

Was it simply the premium ingredients?Or the Solans family's master chefs?

Selene pouted lightly.

"I told you~ just call me Sele."

She sat down beside him.

Silas chuckled and began eating.

After a full morning of toxin refinement, he was genuinely hungry.

Selene watched him eat heartily.

Her eyes curved into crescent moons.

She felt deeply satisfied.

"It wasn't for nothing that I had the chefs prepare thousands of dishes… I just finally found what Brother Silas likes."

As the pampered little princess of the Solans family, she had no concept of waste. In her world, as long as Silas liked it, that was enough.

"And Brother Silas is amazing… he's even a Breeder…"

Her gaze drifted toward the instruments and reagent bottles on the table.

Her admiration deepened.

.....

After lunch, the maids cleared the dishes.

Selene showed no intention of leaving.

Silas didn't mind.

In fact, this was perfect.

He resumed his breeding experiments openly in front of her.

Right now, he needed to display his talent.

The more ability he showed, the more valuable he would appear to the Solans family.

And the more generous any future "thank-you gift" would become.

Of course. If possible, he would rather not accept material compensation.

A favor owed was far more valuable. But judging from Dr. Magnus' personality, that opportunity might not exist.

"Sele, could you help me with something? Use your Glaceon to freeze this for sealing."

Silas understood interpersonal psychology well.

To build rapport quickly, you ask for small, harmless favors.

It creates involvement.

Selene's heart skipped slightly at the way he called her "Sele"

Sweetness spread across her chest.

She remembered a romance story she'd read the night before.

Her cheeks turned pink.

"Come out, Little Icyy! Use Icy Wind and freeze this."

"Glaceon~!"

A pale blue figure emerged in a shimmer of light.

Glaceon exhaled a stream of frigid wind.

Cold air wrapped around the container, gradually sealing the substance in frost.

Silas watched calmly.

He was almost certain the Blizzard TM Selene had bought at the black market was meant for this Glaceon.

As for the Kadabra she had purchased Through subtle probing over the past few days, Silas had learned the reason.

She had wanted to teach Glaceon the move Barrier to raise its Defense sharply.Three hundred thousand PokéDollars… for one move.

Truly extravagant.

Especially considering the Solans family had specialized move tutors.

She simply wanted something new.

....

"Brother Silas… you can even make poison?"

Selene leaned closer, curiosity sparkling in her eyes.

"This would probably be very popular with Poison-type Pokémon, right?"

Her thinking was innocent.

She never once considered murder or evidence destruction.

To her, this was simply a nourishing compound for Poison-type Pokémon.

In this world, poison wasn't inherently illegal.

Poison-type Pokémon were essential to many ecosystems.

And Poison-type trainers formed a significant portion of the League.

In cities with Poison-type Gyms, toxin compounds were even common commodities.

Silas smiled faintly.

"Yes. In the right hands, poison is just another tool."

Selene nodded thoughtfully.

She didn't realize just how layered that sentence truly was.
