Everyone had a shocked look on their faces as they watched both Veer and Rheon drop in the fight. Women and girls started shouting loudly as they saw bloody sight in the martial arena. Eleana and guardian also stopped their fight and watched their last exchange which was soul chilling. Eleana's expression changed and her sword slightly changed colors as she watched Veer fall.
Her sword gradually glowed with an ethereal might as a white translucent moon seem to gently manifest and hover over her. Her surroundings seemed tighten for enemies while she seemed to gain more flexibility. She easily evaded Valyn's incoming aggressive combos as she seemed to force Valyn back with a strong thrust as he almost stumbled. She then swiftly crossed distance to check upon Veer.
The distant prince Erin had a look of victory on his face as he seemed to know everything. Kerin , John and Eryssa seemed very concerned and had a look of surrender as Eryssa suddenly fainted . Kerin gently caught her and placed her near the dais watching over her and his eyes shifting between Erin, Eleana and Veer. He said to John ,"John prepare for any attack" as John nodded.
Meanwhile the audience was in chaos. Where did the majestic celebration go? How did it go so wrong? Perhaps they were wondering.
Eleana reached Veer and seemingly pulled out a vial of something and prepared to feed Veer. But before she could do so there was burst of sound and a box near the arena suddenly burst into pieces. The audience was once again in chaos.
Suddenly,every sound seemed to stop in the majestic hall as a deep eerie silence pervaded again. Something crawled from there . It was unnoticed but it seemed it was from a box that might have been a present for Alicia. As it crawled it slowly stood up . The figure had pale skin like a puppet. More accurately,it seemed it was a puppet.
The figure had a huge sword over his back and it had the same height as Veer. Though its features were were a bit scarred it was strikingly similar to Veer. The puppet slowly moved towards veer or rather Eleana as it raised its sword. It leaped into the air as it also performed an astonishing of consecutive four slashes, each powered up with red and yellow hues that seemed to engulf Eleana.
Eleana was barely able to defend the attacks as her conjured moon dimmed and her armor shattered and she crashed into the distance. She had a shocked expression on her face as John shouted,"Eleana...."
Kerin gritted his teeth as he said,"John don't worry go...."
John nodded as he started walking towards the puppet.
Valyn who was preparing to attack Eleana in the distance stopped his actions and just gazed at the clash .
The prince Erin's face had a look of shock as he shouted suddenly"You promised it would be mine ". He seemed to be deeply confused at something. But even before he could think faint footsteps sounded as a figure obstructed his view as she walked in front of him. She was laughing.
It was Noelle.
Everyone was deeply concerned.
"I will give you a better present" said Noelle as she gave the prince a smirk and conjured a ornamental knife and pushed it into Erin's chest. Valyn in the distance seemingly dumbfounded by what transpired as he leaped to the air. He moved at a disappearing speed as he seemed to crush Noelle. Everyone was dumbfounded by the events as Kerin muttered,"Shit.....". John stopped in his tracks as he muttered,"What..."
Valyn was just near Noelle when his figure froze and a gentle sound was heard from the balcony on the first floor. A gentle breeze went by. There was a veiled figure standing there.She snapped her fingers and all people other than the knights dropped to the ground unconscious. Kerin and John were barely controlling themselves from falling unconscious.
Sir Valyn dropped on his knees as his bandages left his face. The face was familiar. It was not the guardian Valyn. Apparently, it was Erysa's uncle, Corwyn.
Kerin muttered as he was barely conscious,"He... he was that old man...".Meanwhile John weakly slumped to the ground as he pressed on his sword. He was not able to advance.
The mysterious lady vanished and was suddenly standing before Corwyn and said in a seductive threatening voice "I will not kill you now but this is the last time". Very few were still conscious as most of them were the golden knights.
She moved her head as illusory strings appeared from her fingers and as though it connected to the distance puppet as looked at the puppet in the distance and said "Extract his sword severing art and remaining core ! We already failed yesterday. Do it quickly !". The puppet was nodding but sometimes left and right. It was some random movements as the puppet squatted near Veer.
The lady figure whose voice was too seductive looked towards Eleana in the distance as she laughed "Oh my ! The proud knight of this Drudar kingdom! It's a shame that even after all that training and your father's sacrifice it was vain.. You can't even defeat a puppet, Haha".
Eleana's face was cracking as she was biting her lips so hard that blood was flowing. The sight could be described as a tragic beauty who was struggling all alone in the mundane world . Sadly she could not do much.
Slight tears were flowing from her eyes as she looked at Veer in the distance and her face became sad and contained traces of pity.
Meanwhile, the puppet drove its hand into Veer's shoulder easily and was trying to extract something as it murmured strange words nobody could decipher. It seemed Veer would perish. But just then his katana which was unsheathed and in the open was gently vibrating as seven star marks appeared on it. The seven stars broke free from the katana as they moved upwards to form a giant flash of starlight.
The light then broke into streaks of starlight across the hall and coalesced into a barrier of light as it formed a barrier containing Veer and the strange puppet was pushed back. It also seemed to heal Veer's injuries slightly.
The puppet raised its sword and then broke its sword. Then it leaped into the air as red and yellow hues emanated from it it as crashed into the barrier . But the barrier did not even have a scratch. Eleana in the distance heaved a sigh of relief as a dumbfounded expression appeared on the mysterious lady's face. She shouted "Yet again today ! Who is thwarting my plans ! I can't use all my power or they will sense it and arrive. Although it seems many might have already noticed the abnormalities here."
Suddenly, she became confused as she pondered deeply looking at the barrier formed of starlight. Suddenly she laughed hysterically and said "Haha, so you are alive old man haha, this makes it even easier... Haha.. guess the boy is not much important now.. " as the room drowned in her voice.
