Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Second scenario

[Some constellations are interested in your regeneration.]

[Constellation "The masochist of Joseon" asks for information about your regeneration.]

The boy– now named Ken. Seems surprised. "Are you sure that you don't want to know about it because of your masochistic tendencies?"

[Constellation "The masochist of Joseon" feels sorry for his own modifier.]

[Constellation "The masochist of Joseon" says that he will give you payment for the information.]

"Payment? But… Aren't there two other people watching me right now?"

[Constellation "The dead man who came back" says he will offer some coins too.]

[Constellation "Merchant of Venice" says he too will give payment.]

[Constellation "Merchant of Venice" says nothing is free in this world.]

[Constellation "Merchant of Venice" gives you 500 coins.]

[Constellation "The dead man who came back" gives you 400 coins.]

[The constellation "The masochist of Joseon" gives you 800 coins.]

Ken– for a while is left stunned, but soon comes back to sense.

"Since you guys really gave me coins as promised I will tell you."

"This is a trait called Regeneration, grade is rare. It gives two personal skills… but you guys only wanted to know about regeneration, and also paid only for it."

[Some constellation feels betrayed.]

"There is no need to feel that way. Since this is… quite unique you see."

"The description goes as follows. Passively heals the body five times faster. If intended, regenerates and heals the body immediately. The regeneration uses either the conserved energy in the body, or Magic power. When the damaged part is healed, it is extra 0.01% stronger."

[Some constellation asks if that's all.]

[Some constellations agree that it is unique even with little description.]

[Constellation "The masochist of Joseon" says that he likes your regeneration for being unique.]

"Well… it is indeed unique, no? Since most regenerations are just the character regenerating without any source or any reason."

[Some constellation agrees with you.]

"By the way… I just had an idea."

[Some constellations are intrigued.]

—***—

[Some constellation feels incredibly bored because of you.]

It has already been 5 days since Ken has been here. At least 40% of the supply in the store is gone.

He also found out the use of one of his skills, Reader's pov. This skill doesn't do much other than make him see everything like it's some kind of anime.

"1197,1198,1199,1200" After doing push ups, Ken immediately loses all of his energy in the body and lies down. His body–sweating and out of energy.

He mumbles, "Stats".

[Stats: Strength (lvl 8), Constitution (lvl 13), Agility (lvl 5), Magic power (lvl 2)]

He grabs some energy bar beside him and chomps them down.

His exhaustion starts to dissipate, and his body starts to rapidly heal and his recovered energy also starts to get drained.

[Strength (lvl 8) > Strength (lvl 9)]

[Constitution (lvl 13) > Constitution (lvl 14)]

Ken–again grabs another energy bar and chomps it down, and his energy is recovered.

"As I said, this will be the very last day of this. Even I, too, am sick of it."

[Constellation "Merchant of Venice" asks if it is really that important to increase the body's strength by natural training.]

"It is. If I have a stronger natural body, then I have to use less coins when upgrading stats."

[Some constellation nods at you.]

"Well then, I will continue till the end of this day."

[Some constellations start to panic.]

—***—

[Stats: Strength (lvl 10), Constitution (lvl 15), Agility (lvl 6), Magic power (lvl 2)]

Ken–now fully ready to do the second scenario.

Takes a school bag–the largest he could find in the school and loads it with all kinds of supplies, specially foods of all kinds including cold drinks, rice balls, and many kinds of snacks with him.

"All kinds of food that will run for a few days if I don't use the regeneration. Then the cap, mask, hand gloves, hoodie, pants and boots that can cover my whole body… I think I'm pretty much done here."

[Some constellations finally feel relieved]

Ken picks up a map he found somewhere and then starts to make the route.

"So… I'm in Bogwang-dong and to go to Chungmuro station I have to travel… huh? About 3-4 km?!"

After panicking for a while and calming down. "Well I think I can make it to Geumho station by noon."

The moment he is about to step out and open the door, he stops and runs toward the storage room.

[Some constellations feel annoyed.]

Ken picks up a mirror from the storage room, takes off the mask and cap.

"I can never get used to it. I really still look like this. My beard is gone, my skin tone is lighter and more pale. The features of my face are sharper and all those pimples are also gone…"

"Aside from the fact that I look more like a Korean… I still bear the face I used to have. And the anime filter from Reader's pov is really doing its job."

[Some constellations ask you if you are done.]

"I'm done, this may as well be the last time I see my face. And I also had something to look for here."

He scavenges through the storage and finds multiple metal skewers.

"When I found them I hid them here so that I don't forget."

He takes out the map again and looks for something. "Here it is, the National Museum of Korea. If it is indeed a National Museum, then there should definitely be some kind of weapon there. I hope there are swords too!"

He takes a deep breath and finally steps out of the convenience store.

[Poison gas has entered your body through breath.]

[Poison is seeping into your body through skin.]

[It is advised to quickly run into a safe zone or underground area.]

Crap! I prepared all these for the poison fog and it seems to not help much other than letting less poison seep through.

He thought.

He starts to run in the road, using all of his memory, he takes direction.

If I run, go here, then… left! Now I have to run for about 2-3 minutes…

After running for only 2 minutes, his breath has already started to become uneven.

Now… I.. I have to run for another 7 or so minutes..

[Some constellations are worried about your situation.]

[Some constellations urge you to use coins.]

He started to think if he really should use coins on agility, as he can increase it with his enough cardio.

"Not using it would be the same as being an idiot. But you hear me?! I am an idiot!"

He keeps on running until he reaches the Museum. His health had already started to deteriorate.

Crap.. My regeneration must have increased my resistance alongside it. But only out for a bit more than 10 minutes and already started to affect me?

He starts to look for a weapon, he doesn't have time to express his amusement about going into a Museum for the first time.

Where is it! Where is it!

He looks to a side and finally finds the section for historical weapons.

He runs into the section and looks around and finally finds some kind of sword.

Are these.. Katanas? But.. Isn't it Korea? Right! I'm such a dumbass… these are called Hwando or something like that.

He starts to rummage through them and check which would be the best.

[Foot soldiers swords.]

[Grade: D]

[Description: Just normal swords used by foot soldiers.]

[The captain's swords.]

[Grade: C]

[Description: Number of finely crafted swords used by multiple different captains.]

[War general's swords.]

[Grade: B]

[Description: Exceptional swords made solely for a general.]

He picks a general's sword.

[Seong-bin]

[Grade: B]

[Description: The sword loved by a general of late Joseon era. It is the sword in the greatest condition here.]

"It.. Is actually really great for an early start, no? Ack! I should refrain from speaking aloud. The poison…"

Just when he's about to get out of the section and be ready to step out of the Museum.

[Constellation "The masochist of Joseon" tells you to wait.]

[Constellation "The masochist of Joseon" says to also take the very last sword on display.]

Ken–obviously wanted to ask why, but refrained from speaking anymore because of the poison.

He goes to the very end of the section and picks up a sword.

[A valiant warrior's rusty sword.]

[Grade: E]

[Description: Used by a valiant and indomitable warrior, now rusty and forgotten in time. It is extremely fragile by now.]

This thing will give me a lot of trouble… I don't even have any space left in the bag.

He takes off and opens the bag, and then forcefully stuffs most of the part of that sword and then closes it.

He takes out the map from his pocket and starts to map out where the Geumho station would be.

Then if I go there I can take a detour by not using the road, and it will save me some time and then… if I go there and there… then I can make it 2 km!

"Coming here actually decreased the length by a hundred meters!" Then suddenly.

"Ack! The poison!"

He stepped out of the Museum, ready to go to his destination. Geumho station.
