Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Wandering around

After defeating all of the enemy there. Ken feels annoyed. "Ah fuck! I got these clothes not long ago, and here they are."

He looks around for a while and sees a person begging to die, he takes out his sword and cuts the person's head.

[You have gained 3,456 coins.]

"Oh, this guy sure has a lot of coins." Ken exclaims.

He looks around for a while before coming out from there to the rail line. Dokja and the others are trying to get something out of the guy they captured.

"Uh… guys. Doesn't he look like he is having a seizure?" Ken asks.

"It's an effect of hypnosis. He is being stopped to leak any information." Dokja replied.

"Oh… I see." Ken replies.

After strolling around for a while, Ken looks at the map of the stations around here and secretly heads out.

After walking for a while, he starts to look for something.

"This time I walked in the opposite direction from where I came to this station from. So this should be the path to another station."

[Some constellations ask you about your experience in the movie you were trapped in.]

He looked up and said. "Are you guys finally here? I was a bit surprised you guys were not saying anything."

[Constellation "The dead man who came back" asks you what happened after you were trapped.]

"That? It's gonna be a long talk."

As he kept walking while telling everyone the story, he encountered some weird monsters.

"It's been quite some time since I saw these mother fuckers. The ground rats which don't look like rats at all."

Unlike last time, he gets in a barehanded fight with them, but an idea strikes him and he lets them bite onto his hand.

Immediately–they start to drag him towards a place and take him through a giant hole. The moment he reaches it, he crushes the head of the rat dragging him.

He gets up and starts to walk in the dark, even though it really isn't dark for someone like him, who has a skill like the Reader's pov.

While walking through the tunnel, he also talks about what he did while trapped in the movie.

[Some constellations feel excited hearing your story.]

[Some constellations gifts you 600 coins in total.]

When he reaches the end of the tunnel. He sees light and finds multiple ground rats guarding a chest.

He slowly approaches them and quickly takes out the ones guarding it.

He opens the chest and gets a bracelet with silver lining.

[Magic power recovery bracelet.]

[Grade: D]

[Description: Increases Magic power recovery.]

Ken looks at it for a while and wears it. Magic power is a stat essential for him, and it increases the recovery rate of it.

He starts to touch the chest to find something and just when he clicks on a black pattern, the chest opens again.

"Yeah! That's it! This is what Dokja used to get Unbreakable faith!" Excitement got the best of him and just when he realises he spoke aloud, he immediately stops.

He stays quiet for a while and looks toward a tree of sorts.

"Is that thing still sleeping?" He lets out a sigh of relief.

He takes out the heart of Art he took last time. Even now, it looks like it was taken out just freshly.

"This shit is S grade, so it better do the job properly. I don't even have anything else."

He puts the heart, and his sword seong-bin side by side. And then the valiant warrior's rusty sword in the middle.

[Constellation "The masochist of Joseon" is intrigued by your action.]

He starts to murmur something to himself before finally closing the chest.

[The grade of the weapon valiant warrior's rusty sword is being readjusted.]

[The sword is being repaired.]

[The story of the sword is connected with a constellation. The sword's effects will be readjusted.]

[Topjeung.]

[Grade: SSS]

[Description: Jeung can transform emotions such as will, desperation, determination etc into an aura of sorts that coat the sword to do stronger attacks. When wielding it, the constitution will increase by 5.The owner will receive the stigma Indomitable.]

Seeing it–Ken is shocked to the point that he becomes completely frozen.

[Constellation "The masochist of Joseon" says that he feels like he is about to cry.]

[Constellation "Merchant of Venice" tells you to use the sword well.]

"Uh… why are you all… acting like that?"

[Constellation "The dead man who came back" tells you that it's an emotional moment right now.]

While the constellations were giving messages that felt Irrelevant to Ken, he started to swing it around.

"This feels really cool to be honest…what about a vertical slash?"

The moment Ken tries to slash in the air, the sword slips off from his hand and it lands on the trunk of the tree he saw before.

[Constellation "The masochist of Joseon" is disappointed seeing your clumsiness.]

As the sword grazes a membrane of sorts in the tree and suddenly– a hand comes bursting out.

As the figure fully comes out, Ken sees a monster that looked extremely similar to the one he saw the last when he had come to a place similar to this.

[Tier 7 demon species Dark keeper has appeared.]

Ken looks at it in awe and shock, unconsciously muttering. "I'm fucked no matter how I look at it."

A pale humanoid monster in tentacles towering over him, which was enough to make Ken shiver down from the spine.

Before the monster could get a hold of the situation–Ken quickly runs and gets his sword and slashes its leg.

Though the slash really didn't do much other than graze it a little. The only thing it did beside grazing was to anger it.

It quickly attacked Ken with its tentacles, but he somehow managed to dodge that one.

"How the actual fuck did Dokja beat this thing originally?!"

As it let out a ferocious roar, it kept attacking with its tentacles.

As Ken somehow was dodging, suddenly–he felt pain in stomach. He realized it pierced him.

He quickly cuts the tentacle with his sword and pulls out the one piercing him–quickly regenerating his stomach.

"Luckily it wasn't my chest–"

Before he could finish his words, the monster directly lunged at him and grabbed his arm. Before he could realize, his arm was ripped off.

Ken screamed in pain, but that wouldn't help him right now in the situation he is in.

He somehow broke off from the monster's grasp and ran towards his ripped arm and placed it back to its place, which reattached it.

"Just as I thought, I don't necessarily have to regenerate the whole thing."

But again–when looked to the side, the monster's tentacles attacked him, and this time he couldn't dodge all of them and any of them pierced him.

As his vision slowly started to blur, he thought. Damn… I really shouldn't have been so picky with not using the coins.

"Max out the Magic power… and increase constitution to 31 and increase agility to 22… and use all of the fucking coin on strength!" He screamed before ripping off the tentacles.

[Magic power has been increased 14 > 60.]

[38,400 coins have been used.]

[The scenario's probability stops the stat from increasing anymore.]

[Constitution has been increased 19 > 31.]

[7,200 coins have been used.]

[Agility has been increased 13 > 22.]

[4,000 coins have been used.]

[Strength has been increased 15 > 34.]

[11,200 coins have been used.]

He pulls out all of the tentacles stuck in his body and quickly regenerates them–gasping for breath.

"Now this is what real stats look like." Ken exclaims while still breathing heavily.
