Chapter 136 - YGS [136]

To make it easier to scratch this particular card, Keqing removed her black gloves and took a deep breath. She was about to use the tip of her thumb to scrape off the surface layer, but realized… that might not be very convenient.

So, she pulled out an old hairpin from somewhere and used it in place of her fingernail.

Born a noble lady, Keqing maintained only the bare minimum of luxury necessary to match her status as one of the Liyue Qixing. Outside the bustling streets of prosperity, she often ventured alone into desolate lands to broaden her knowledge and temper her resolve.

She had personally faced countless dangers, yet unlike adventurers or backpackers, she carried no bulging packs—only her hairpin and her sword, always by her side.

When infused with Electro energy, the hairpin could transform into a razor-sharp blade, unmatched in precision. Cutting grass or chopping wood was nothing; skinning prey or deboning it was easy work.

When confronted with steep cliffs, she could drive the hairpin into the ground, tie a vine to it, and rappel down safely. When camping outdoors, she would plant the hairpin upright in the ground before sleeping—it became a sensitive alarm that woke her at the slightest disturbance nearby.

Even when hungry, Keqing could simply toss the hairpin into a stream; inevitably, a few unlucky fish would be electrocuted—she didn't even need skewers to roast them afterward.

If someone ignorant mocked the hairpin's worn appearance, calling it shabby, she wouldn't be offended. On the contrary, she'd beam with pride.

"Its weathered look is what makes it charming."

This old hairpin was something Keqing cherished deeply, always carrying it with her. And now, it was proving quite handy for scratching this Scratch Card.

As one of Liyue Harbor's most prominent figures, whether dueling, working, or now, seriously scratching a Yu-Gi-Oh! Scratch Card—Keqing always drew a crowd.

"I wonder what Lady Keqing will win!"

"Yeah…"

"Honestly, the win rate on these Yu-Gi-Oh! Scratch Cards is pretty high."

"Yesterday, I scratched one of the [Seven Millennium Items] cards at random… won 200,000 Mora right away!"

"Totally worth it!"

"Hahaha, I scratched [Search for Kuriboh]. Each Kuriboh you find gives you 50,000 Mora! I found ten of them on one card!"

"[Search for Kuriboh] has good odds, but the cap's too low… you can only win up to 500,000 Mora."

"No ambition!"

"If you're gonna scratch, scratch the kind Lady Keqing's doing!"

"Ten treasure chests, ten billion Mora!"

"Only thing is… the odds are abysmal."

"Yesterday I went through a thousand cards—only saw about two hundred treasure chests total…"

...

As the customers chattered, Keqing began scratching.

One card—nothing.

Two cards—nothing.

Thirty cards in—finally, one treasure chest!

The Scratch Card shimmered and vanished, turning into 4,000 Mora that appeared right before Keqing.

"Ah… finally hit something!"

"That was tough…"

After that warm-up, Keqing had seventy cards left. She continued, scraping each card with her trusty hairpin.

By the ninety-ninth card, she had uncovered ten treasure chests in total—earning 40,000 Mora.

Now came the last card.

Keqing focused intently.

Nine scratches—nothing.

Only one final chance remained.

With no real hope left, Keqing scraped the last spot with her hairpin.

An icon of a Geo Vision appeared on the Scratch Card. A line of text shimmered above her head:

[Congratulations, you have obtained the Geo Archon's Treasure!]

"Oh my!"

"Lady Keqing hit the Geo Archon's Treasure?!"

"Scratching this means she'll get a special reward!"

"What could it be…?"

Luya heard the commotion and turned toward Keqing's table. He couldn't help exclaiming,

"The odds are insane!"

Yesterday, Ganyu had casually drawn a Vision. Today, Keqing hit the Geo Archon's Treasure with just a hundred cards?!

What could this treasure be?

Suddenly, a radiant glow burst forth from the Scratch Card. The card transformed into a piece of parchment—it looked like… a contract?!

Keqing picked it up and glanced over it.

It was a [Deed of Property]. The property was located at Feiyun Slope. Once signed, it granted permanent residence rights.

...

"A property deed?!"

"That's it?!"

"I thought the mysterious reward from Morax would be something incredible…"

"So it's just… a house."

"Not as amazing as expected, though still pretty good."

"After all, it's real estate! I just wonder how big it is."

Keqing, however, was pleased—a house at Feiyun Slope would make a fine residence.

Not bad at all.

After all, she'd only spent 200,000 Mora! Two hundred thousand Mora wouldn't even buy a single square meter there, yet now she had an entire property—easily worth over thirty million Mora.

Turning 200,000 into 30 million—definitely a profit!

So Keqing decisively signed the contract.

As soon as she did, a phantom image appeared before her. It looked like… a human-shaped Morax. After about three seconds, the image dissolved into light.

Then, Luya's shop began to shake.

A new floor suddenly appeared above it!

"Whoa?!"

"The house from that deed… is it right here in the shop?!"

"No way!!! That's amazing!"

"Impossible to even estimate the value…"

"And it looks pretty big, too!"
