Chapter 140 - YGS [140]

As the last customer left the card shop, the system's familiar settlement chime finally sounded.

[Ding! Congratulations, Host!]

[You have completed today's business!]

[Commencing settlement...]

[Please wait...]

Luya's system began calculating the day's total.

He wasn't entirely sure whether all the Scratch Cards purchased yesterday had sold out today, but one thing was certain—the one million Scratch Cards in his main store were completely sold out.

After all, the main store didn't just sell Scratch Cards—it had many other attractions. It was also the most famous shop in all of Liyue Harbor. With Yun Jin's opera performances, the Nouvelles Restaurant, multiple Duel Stages, and even Yu-Gi-Oh! viewing events, the customer traffic was enormous.

The one million Scratch Cards sold easily, earning 2 billion Mora in revenue.

As for the other ten [Yu-Gi-Oh! Scratch Card] branches, being their first day, Luya wasn't sure how many had sold. Some might have leftovers.

Then the system announced:

[Today's total revenue: 7 billion Mora!!!]

[Card pack profit: 260 million Mora]

[Other merchandise profit: 6.2 billion Mora]

[Nouvelles Restaurant profit: 540 million Mora]

[Available Mora: 7 billion]

Seeing that other merchandise alone brought in 6.1 billion Mora, Luya's excitement surged. Even if not all the Scratch Cards had sold, he'd moved most of them, with only about 400,000 remaining.

Still, earning 7 billion Mora in one day… that was an astronomical profit!

With 7 billion in hand, Luya could now consider opening branch stores in other nations. As for which one to start with, he hadn't decided yet.

Just then, the system's reward summary appeared.

[Ding!]

[Congratulations, Host! Daily revenue exceeded 7 billion Mora!]

[Generating rewards…]

[Card pack auto-generation +10,000]

[Free expansion area +3,000 square meters]

[Mora Sapling ×1]

Hearing the list, Luya blinked in confusion. Card pack production and space expansion were standard enough—but a Mora Sapling?

That caught his attention.

He took out the rewarded Mora Sapling to examine it. It was entirely golden, radiating a soft glow. Though called a sapling, it had no leaves—its branches were covered entirely with Mora coins!

The sight left Luya dumbfounded.

Just as he was studying it intently, the shop door suddenly opened!

Luya was startled—no one should've been able to open his shop uninvited.

He looked toward the door.

It was Keqing, carrying a mountain of luggage!

...

Then he realized—Keqing now owned the second-floor 1,000-square-meter suite. To reach it, she had to pass through his shop, which meant she had access permissions.

"Good evening~" she greeted cheerfully. "Looks like we're neighbors now, haha."

Though carrying heavy bags, she appeared perfectly at ease. Keqing might have been a noble lady, but she had trained since childhood and often conducted field surveys throughout Liyue, fighting monsters along the way. So hauling luggage was nothing to her.

Luya smiled back. "Good evening, my one and only neighbor."

Keqing headed upstairs to unpack and rest—but then noticed the glowing sapling in Luya's hands.

"What's that… Is it some kind of plant?!"

"Mora… growing on a sapling? Am I seeing things?!"

Luya chuckled. "Just a small tree a friend gave me for good luck. As for why Mora grows on it—I've no idea."

Keqing pondered for a moment before suggesting, "Since it's a tree, why not plant it right away?"

Luya actually had the same thought—but he needed a good spot. It would be a waste if it didn't take root. After all, a tree that grows Mora was something special.

"Leave the planting to me!" Keqing said.

She pulled a shovel from her luggage and led Luya to the backyard.

...

In no time, she had dug a neat pit. Taking the sapling from Luya, she planted it with practiced ease. The entire process took less than thirty seconds.

Luya watched her efficient, confident movements and couldn't help but praise her.

Keqing smiled. "Just routine work."

Even as a member of the Liyue Qixing, she wasn't above manual labor. Planting a tree was child's play to her.

As soon as the Mora Sapling touched the soil, it began to glow faintly.

Then—

The Mora coins on its branches started dropping one by one… only to regrow seconds later!

Keqing was stunned.

"What?!"

"This is outrageous!"

"Shopkeeper, you—"

But recalling how Luya had created entire landmasses out of thin air yesterday, she quickly calmed herself.

After so many system rewards, Luya was only mildly surprised that the sapling truly produced Mora.

Keqing bent down, picked up one of the fallen coins, and examined it.

"It's real Mora…"

"Amazing… this sapling actually grows Mora!"

"And it's only a sapling! When it matures, won't it produce even more?!"

Luya was intrigued by that thought himself… how much could a fully grown Mora Tree yield in a day?

...

After planting the Mora Tree, Luya and Keqing returned inside. Keqing went to settle in upstairs, while Luya turned back to his next major task.

It was time to use the Game Editor to create his own Yu-Gi-Oh! game!
