Asia jumps high, narrowly avoiding Raynare's attack... even though her spear has torn half of the nun's clothes.
"You're bizarre... Aqua Hoshino." Asia's last words, her face down, seeing that Raynare remains frozen, unable to react to the fight, apparently having lost something.
Raynare's neck is slowly cut... as if a blade were cutting her skin in its invisible form, so the one who was fastest to kill her was me.
- POW
Her head, which was lying on the ground, lifeless, with no hope of returning... remained with empty eyes staring at Asia with an expression of disbelief at what had happened.
"Apparently, I cut correctly..." Walking over Asia's back, I put my hand on her head and give her a small friendly caress.
"How... did you do that? She wasn't an easy girl to-"
"Kill? I know, she put up a bit of a fight when she was holding my attack... but I knew she wouldn't be able to sense the Reiryoku energy because she doesn't have the ability to smell energies opposite to her own, and the technique I used made it a lot easier." Explaining, I stopped caressing her head and walked over to Raynare's body, which was decapitated on the floor.
"Technique? Seriously... what are you really? Your left eye isn't normal." Asia stood up and looked at Aqua, who was crouching with his back to her.
"I'm a human, son of the late or missing Ai Hoshino, who was a popular idol before her disappearance... the technique I used was similar to the substitution technique that was very popular among ancient ninjas." My fingers slid over Raynare's cold body, remembering the last time he rescued her Lootbox.
[POV Flashback]
"I can finally open the Lootbox... my body is in so much pain."
After completing a complicated mission that involved physical exercises, including some aerobic and flexibility methods... which in a way helped me a lot in my development to endure longer in battle with Sandalphon, who was very heavy in my hands.
[Lootbox open, choose your passive skill (or extra item) from your inventory.]
- Smoke Replacement: A skill that allows you to disappear like smoke and become invisible for 10 seconds in the field for a surprise attack.
- Fragmented Armor: A humanoid armor forms on your body and can provide excellent defense against attacks with sharp weapons (But it can wear out quickly depending on the amount of your energy)
- 1x Sandalphon: Recover the sword you lost in battle earlier and get both items back.
"Well, I'm going to get more weapons from now on, so... I don't need an item I lost to Kurumi, I can take the first skill."
[End of POV]
"You know, I've never had a life as fun as it is today... every day I don't regret being here one bit, especially with friendly company like you."
Turning to face Asia, she stands up and puts her hands together, thinking about many things... but at the same time, a huge peace spreads through her heart.
Raynare's death was significantly good, since in a way, the villain ended up causing enormous terror to Asia, destroying the root of the problem... Asia could live in peace without worrying about future persecution.
"I'm glad you think so of me, but... our meeting could have been more friendly and fun if I hadn't brought the problems I was involved in." Asia said this in a somewhat guilty tone, her hands clasped together, squeezing even tighter.
"It's okay, because a meeting has to be something memorable... and it will be now."
As she said that, Asia flashed a simple smile that made her look a little better... it was the right choice to take action to destroy Raynare and offer peace after the fallen angel had used her as a daily tool that caused her suffering.
Even though the meeting went wrong, I can say that I got to know a little more of Asia's personal side, which is gratifying.
A few seconds later, Asia hugged me tightly, and I returned it as best I could with a light hug of my own.
"Your hug is so warm..." she whispered against my chest, her voice breaking, but full of sincerity. "It reminds me that there is still kindness in this world..."
I didn't know how to respond right away. Words seemed small in the face of the trust she placed in me. So I just slid my hand over her golden hair, stroking it gently.
"Asia... from now on, I'll protect the peace you've earned. Even if the whole world is against us."
She pulled away a little, her eyes still fixed on mine... those green eyes, full of hope and old scars.
"Would you say that even if I didn't have healing powers? If I were just... an ordinary girl?" She hesitated, perhaps afraid of the answer.
"I would say that even if you lost all your gifts. Because you don't need power to be special to me."
Her eyes widened for a second before curving into a slight, genuine smile, the most sincere I had seen that day.
In that moment, nothing else mattered: not the fallen angels, not the demons, not the wars of the underworld. Just the two of us and the comfortable silence of a moment I will never forget.
The breeze blew gently, as if the world itself approved of this truce.
[Mission Accomplished: Meeting with Asia Argento]
[Next Mission: Fuck the docile nun with lots of love]
"Aqua..." Upon hearing that, Asia's body suddenly gives off a slight warmth that I can feel while hugging her.
"Say it." My hands were stroking her ear.
Suddenly, she ends up releasing some of her healing smoke onto the hole in my arm where she was, and this triggers a sudden fainting of my body and everything goes dark after I pass out.
