My first instinct was to struggle against the grip Lynn had on my arm and my second was to attack him to break free.
I suppressed both my instincts and allowed myself to be tugged to a corner.
Once Lynn had me where he wanted, he let go of my wrist and looked at me with an almost frustrated look on his face.
"Tsk, fuck—! Why did I… ugh, anyway—! I needed to ask you something before I lost you for good. Who are you? There is no way I would believe your half-assed excuses. No ordinary hunter should be able to keep up with me."
Lynn sounded frustrated, almost as if he had tried to figure out something but had failed. I suddenly felt sorry for him.
But not enough to tell him everything.
"I am just your ordinary hunter who wants to stay out of public eye. You should not pay any more attention to me than you already have. Now, I shall take my leave now."
