Theo told me, and I felt sorry for him.
From what I heard, he had been abused since childhood, but he did not even consider it as abuse. For him, it had been a common thing that everyone went through.
Looking at Theo and how happy he was, I never imagined that he had a past like that. He never showed it on his face or anything.
"About those scientists—"
"I don't know what happened to them or who they were. I just left them and hoped that they would be smart enough to keep their distance. I did blow up the facility, though."
Theo told me in a cheerful voice. Even when the topic we were talking about was grim, he looked happy speaking up. He was someone who shocked me constantly with how mature he was.
"Is that why you came to me? Because you thought I could help you out?"
I asked Theo, and he looked at me with a smile.
