'The week test is coming up soon and you all will work on a project in pairs. Two in a group and you had the max of two weeks to do all the necessary stuff and submit. The details are already in the question so I hope you guys will do well.' The chemistry teacher said as he turn his head all around, glaring at everyone. Immediately he asked people to pair, they all cloud over Amethyst, knowing she is good in chemistry and they wouldn't have to work much.
'I got her first, Amethyst, you should choose me.'
'Do you remember me? I was the one you offered water at the sport field.'
'my foundation in chemistry is so good, you won't regret pairing with me.'
'choose me.'
'no, choose me.'
Voices came from far and behold while Amethyst stepped back, not knowing who to choose.
When "BANG!' The teacher slap the desk with his textbooks which make everywhere went down dead.
'let's pair up with numbers. Anybody that has the same number you pick will pair with you.' He said while all of them squeeze their nose.
**Few Moments Later**
'hey Ammy, what did you get?' Piper whispered while Amethyst raise her paper.
'7' she replied.
'ouch, I got number 11.' Piper said with pouted lips.
'Who got number 7? Who is the person with number 7?' everybody questioned, looking around.
Nathan pull open his paper and stare blankly at the number boldly inscribed in it "11" he squeezed it and turn back to leave but his gaze landed on the male student that just pull open his paper, the number "7" boldly inscribed in it. A smile crawl up to his lips as he aimed forward, wanting to scream but the cry of joy hang in his throat as soon as he saw Nathan psycho gazing at him.
What had he done to attract the psychopath's glare?
Nathan stretched his hand forward, pointing the paper at him while he obediently took it, a smile on his face as he hand over his own paper to him.
Nathan smiled back at him which disappeared a second later and he walk up to Amethyst, dropping the paper in front of her.
'oops, she paired with that psychopath.'
'such bad luck, I knew that 'pick a number' of a thing would not end well.'
'of all people in the world, it fell on that psycho'
'Such good opportunity is lost.'
'Who knows if she will make it till next week, he might kill her before then'
'By next week, I bet she won't be walking with her head anymore.'
'she wouldn't even dare, she would beg the teacher to switch her partner right?'
'Who would want to move around and study with a devil?'
'Once she reject him, I would quickly join her team.'
'no, she wouldn't dare reject.'
'what if he gets angry and do something bad to her?'
Murmurings came, people keeping their voice low to avoid being heard by that psychopath but Nathan could still hear everything. Ignoring them, he turn to look at Amethyst, wondering if she would reject him or accept. Though she said to be his friend, it might as well be in private so that people would not start talking bad about her and ignoring her too. Amethyst shot him a smile and he gladly return it, though briefly. The smile means she accepted him right?

Oh right, that witch of a girl. She dated Orests and duped him, causing a fight between them and now, she is sticking to Nathan psycho, did she not need her head anymore?
She must have got a death wish.
The murmurings continue as Amethyst stretch out his hands for handshake.
'Teammate Nathan, look forward to working with you.' She said while Nathan gladly took her hand, wondering.
Is she not afraid of being called a psychopath too?
'same here.' Nathan replied, pushing everybody into a waterloo of shock.
That bastard girl, is she mad or something?
Looking forward to working with a murderer? Her regret would be in her grave.
She must be nuts, her brain is malfunctioning
'the people continued while Amethyst smile grew wider. Once the both of them work together for two weeks and nothing happen to her, people would start interacting with him too and just as he had wished, he would be loved by all the people once again.
She would make sure that she fulfils her path in fulfilling in wish.
*Day 1*
'oh, she is still alive.'
'don't worry, we won't see her tomorrow'

'or be seen in the hospital'

That girl with big nerves, her head is still on her neck

Her mother definitely loves her so much, all thanks to her for showering her with more prayers, if not she'd be dead by now

Nathan must be sparing her because everyone knows about it, don't worry, we'll soon find her dead body soon or later

*And so it goes, everyday passing by but… she is still walking on her own, heads high, body in contact, no sign of being abused or assaulted. That girl surely has some black magic. Can't believe she is still alive.
*Day 14*
'Bye.' Amethyst turns back and waved at Nathan who stood distance away. They had already submitted their project earlier that day but choose to continue to study together. Whereas, exam is fast approaching and it is only right that they began to read now. They hang around and read till late at night while he insisted on escorting her home because it is already dark.
Nathan waved back then turn back to leave while amethyst did too, each returning to their place. Amethyst yawned widely as she head to her room but just close to it, someone pulled her back.
