The whole atmosphere of the room shifted as the king sharpened his gaze.
"A revival you say?"
"Yes, it might be nothing," Adam said. "But I wouldn't know what their planning."
Veyra just glanced at his direction, but she didn't say anything.
The King just studied him silently for a bit, and then leaned back on his throne. "I see, well regardless your actions have prevented many prodigies from dying and you also stopped the gate. The crown will surely reward you through the guild."
Adam just slightly bowed. "I shall accept the crowns reward, your Majesty."
But the king wasn't finished.
"But... this situation is troubling." He said, his gaze growing colder. "It seems like their making a move again, they haven't acted for many centuries. And they have someone backing them."
The king's projection showed a faint shimmering pulse, it was as if he was sensing something even deeper. "I'm sure you might have encountered this darkness before, haven't you, boy?"
