Chapter 12 - Apology Quest [3]

The ground shook from the beating wings of the queens. They slammed together so fast that even the tower trembled.

Mike quickly scanned his surroundings and realized that no matter how much power he had, he had no chance. Probably. But what good did that do him now?

Mike swallowed and quietly opened the system.

"Admin strike..."

He spoke the words and pressed the attack. For a few seconds nothing happened, but then a window opened beside him.

(>>destroy?<<)(Yes)

A bright, sudden flash of light blinded Mike for a few seconds. Then he saw a massive rain of ash pouring down. The buzzing stopped.

It was over.

No.

The spider was still alive. It stood there, but its gaze was also turned to the sky, watching the ash fall. The ash was the ants; the attack must have wiped them all out.

"W what power..."

Mike's eyes widened, and he looked again, twice more.

(Cooldown 10 bosses)

"Ten bosses? Okay, but how am I supposed to fight tha..."

Mike's voice broke off because he had to react fast. A new burst of the spider's poison shot toward him, but luckily he managed to dodge forward just in time.

Mike tried to open his inventory, and it finally worked again. It looked different now, white and somehow more high quality, but only five slots were free.

"What, only five slots?"

He did not have time to think about it, because the spider was moving, crawling over the entire surface of the tower. Mike quickly noticed that one of the five slots was already occupied. It was a hyper scale.

He saw the spider coming closer, but he moved a little toward the edge of the platform and bought himself a few more seconds. With that time he clicked on the description.

(hyper scaleobtained by the player after ten thousand kills of the ant queenscan be used oncegives the player immense strength for five minuteseat it)

Whether that was good luck or bad luck, Mike did not know, but he knew he had to use it. He ate it and immediately, after swallowing the disgusting thing, he felt something change.

His skin began to turn scaly, but it was not his own skin. It was a completely new layer, a kind of armor. It even covered his face. Wrapped in a red layer of scales, Mike now stood there, right in front of the huge white spider.

It crouched down a little, looking very disgusting as it did, then jumped. The gigantic shadow rolled over the arena, then shrank again as the spider aimed straight at Mike. It wanted to crush him with its jump.

"No way."

But Mike honestly had no idea how he was supposed to dodge that jump, so he had no choice but to trust that the scale was really that strong and would withstand the impact.

Mike took one step back to gain momentum and then launched himself upward with immense force, straight at the spider. In mid air only one thought went through his head.

"How disgusting."

Then Mike shot through the spider with a shockwave, tearing it apart into two halves.

A massive flood of green liquid washed across the platform and covered Mike's new armor. Mike landed safely back on his two feet and wiped something from his face.

"I did not think that would work."

Mike grinned so broadly it almost hurt. Then he turned around and saw the two halves of the spider crash down.

(Item obtained fang of the legendary spider Noxros)

"Oh, I can definitely make a good weapon out of that," Mike thought and made a note of it, then looked around uneasily, wondering what would happen next.

A window suddenly opened in front of him and startled him.

(Path to admin quest completely finished congratulations you are qualified to become an admin)(Admin rank obtained)

Mike read everything carefully three times but did not find any more information.

"I I am an admin now, but what do I do now The system still only shows me that one attack, hm."

A portal opened, probably leading back to the market of Dasum. Mike ran into it at once and came out where you would expect, in Dasum, not in the market but at the border of Dasum. He could not go any farther, because Level 2 would only open soon. Only then would the players be able to travel to Level 2.

What would it be, Mike wondered.

"There must be several types of servers, because there are no five million people here in Dasum."

"I wonder how many days have passed, or did time move normally in the dungeon."

Mike looked around and quickly realized where he had to go, to his quickly trusted, beloved house.

After half an hour, Mike was back in front of his old fashioned wooden front door.

(entry accepted)

Mike went inside and made himself comfortable on his soft bed.

"Well, Ice still does not seem to be back, so I am of course going to SLEEP now."

He was excited and selected a certain number for how long he wanted to sleep.

Ice was now on floor 11, but she could not get any farther. Ice sobbed in disappointment.

"I I am not strong enough. I will go back," she said to herself.

Since she was alone, she did not dare to go on and chose to return. She was bleeding a little from her nose and her lip and had scratches everywhere. She came out exactly where apparently everyone came out, at the village market.. almost everyone.....

The first thing Ice did was go into her house and sleep as well. The good thing was that she could keep many levels.

Mike woke up and was startled because a textbox appeared in front of him right away, but when he read it, the surprise was actually a good one.

(Level 2 open for everyone)

"Finally."

Mike jumped out of bed and ran to the door. When he tore it open, someone was waiting for him.
