Moto woke up in the same field that he saw that city in. The field that had those bubbles was also where he talked to Marco after their fight. He looked to his left to see nobody and to his right and saw nobody as well. He didn't feel like moving and felt at ease with himself. He could feel the bubbles moving around the clouds of the beautiful blue sky, where it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.
This reminded him of his childhood, where he grew up in a poor area with his older brother nate and their dad was a train conductor. This place is where the air quality and water quality went to shit and there was a place far, far away where they could actually get to school and use water. And the only way to make it there was through his father, known as Mr. Moto. Their mother was a faithful housewife on the outside but in reality, she was hooking up with every dude she met.
After his father realized this news he killed her and started losing his mind. Then his big brother Nate started arguing often with Dad, which led to him getting beat. Then one day he said his last goodbyes to Moto before running away from home. Then his father died falling off rocks drunk, then he took over, then he went broke, then he went out and hunted and all of this happened because of his cursed mother.
He imagined an alternate universe where this never happened and they stayed together. But it was so far from reach that he couldn't even imagine his dad being happy and not drunk all the time unless he's hanging out with his friends over the weekends like he always does. And at the school he went to that he and the other kids always rode by on the train was a good school.
People from his place got bullied for being dirty but not Moto. Because he was able to figure out how to make clean water and bathe himself with it, he was praised for being clean and even hung out with the popular kids. Moto wished he could go back to those days but it was all a mist away now; a huge light engulfs him.
