Seducing someone was harder than Dora thought. Every morning she would eat breakfast with Dante and do her best to make more than normal conversation with him.
Yet, no matter how much she talked and smiled and tried to look lively, he always responded in his usual polite tone, asking and making sure that all her needs were met.
I'm fine! she internally grumbled as she watched him continue to eat his food, which he was about to finish before leaving—aware that the day was going exactly how the other days had gone.
But the next second, she took in a deep breath and looked right at him, ignoring the food on her plate as she spoke.
"Is sex something you'll be open to?" she asked him directly. Her heart thumped hard in her chest, but she didn't care.
She was tired of hoping and watching and waiting for the right time. If it was a lost cause, he might as well tell her and shove it into her face so she could figure out a better plan.
