Chapter 34- anger
Henry paused at the end, deliberately not giving Blaze the full details, but his meaning was clear: things were complicated.
Almost instantly, Blaze recalled the phone call Cecilia had received in the café. Could it be that Fiona had really called Cecilia for help at the critical moment?
"How is Fiona?" he asked urgently.
"She's alive. They've put her in an ambulance," Henry replied.
"I understand. You handle your work first; I'll contact you later…" Blaze adjusted his Bluetooth earpiece, then lifted his gaze to Cecilia a few meters away. His heart skipped a beat. Furrowing his brows, he hastily said a few words before hanging up, opened the car door, and called after her.
Cecilia turned, puzzled.
Then a deafening explosion shattered the air. Several floors up, a building erupted, sending shards of glass flying through the air, some smashing to the ground near the car.
