Blaze paused for a moment, as if seeing straight through her little thoughts, then smiled faintly.
"Hold on a bit. I'll go grab some band-aids from the convenience store."
"Okay."
After Blaze left, Cecilia sat quietly, waiting for him.
The streets of Japan were so different from those in China—narrow roads lined with shops of uneven heights, climbing gently up the slope. Everything was so delicate, so charming, like a miniature world straight out of a fairy tale.
She sat beneath a shade of green, and a sudden breeze sent leaves drifting through the air. One landed softly on the back of her hand. Cecilia smiled, twirling the stem between her fingers, spinning it lazily, then holding it up in front of her eyes like the heroines in movies. It amused her to no end.
Suddenly, something cold pressed against her cheek, startling her.
"What are you looking at?" Blaze's gentle voice came from above, and then a box of ice cream was placed into her hands.
