Chapter 81 : What awaits is problem
Hallway was silent. Just sound of steps was coming.
Ryo was taking step one by one, left to right, each step little faster then last.
Ryo's mind was on limit to duel again to that obscure. But his duelist inside him didn't forget how he lost.
Not intentional, without holding back, yet he lost.
He wasn't giving the fault to his "returned" deck, which was now just less then a substitute. He knew it have potential and in it's own way.
But after he lost just the thought without slowing down was running "if I had my soul deck" the deck which was no less than his second soul to him.
As he had his deck on his hand, his eyes still on the deck.
He walked and goes on and the turn to official meeting room was getting near.
He felt slowing down, feeling there is something wrong is gonna happen. But that won't change if he didn't go.
Ryo, who had suddenly lost courage thought if he had courage he would had faced that guy seriously, and even if he had lost he would had lost with pride.
His mind was giving him reasons.
"But those things really matter?"
Ryo started talking in mind. As he didn't wanted to let others know.
"Does winning with no pride is answer? Losing with pride really matters? Does..."
No thought was what made Ryo satisfied, and he just felt talking to someone but he didn't wanted to let them know how pathetic he feels.
"Hm?"
Ryo's leg seemed heavy.
"Ah this."
He then remembered he made a mistake. He hade tripped his right leg, and it was hurting a little. And he just noticed now.
"Does I forget pain?"
He muttered thinking it doesn't matter right now and the meeting room in front of him.
"Now what to do?"
Does Ryo should knock knob first? Or just go inside and greet? Both mattered.
But looking too much polite was very awkward for Ryo and making bad impression, not to mention meeting first and making image would matter as long as they were here.
He just stand there not much but hardly 1 minute had passed and thinking just standing is bad too. If someone were to come and look him or opened the door from inside.
"Let's just see."
He pulled the knob and the door opened with making no noise.
"Maybe it is high class door."
And there was a big table, long table and the room itself.
Lot of chairs were lined and no one was there.
"Why is there no one?" Leo said
"I don't know."
Both talked through micro eye.
"Aren't there should be someone?"
Ro said as the chair at start of table turned.
"Sorry to disturb your celebration. But we have some questions."
A shorter than average height. Hair was both messed up and with taken care. And eyes that show both micheviown and calculating expression.
"My name is lizar and I am helping the tournament this year."
"The new mayor?"
"If you had know that is what I had helped in past as well plus this year is special you see. The heros are not participating after that big fight with Z-one and tgey are some special guests so it is little off from burden."
"Seems like you don't like not help at all and want help but don't show."
"Well that is a topic everyone knows and even you— sorry you are not from here right? I had checked the registrations—"
"Doesn't sound good where this is going, to me." Silvio said
"I know."
"You and your friends aren't from here. Well there are more than lot people who come here to participate every time but you people are not one of those either."
"Maybe you three are just from a different country or even continent but why did you come here to participate?"
"As you just said why we came here."
Ryo said without making a nervous vibe or hidden intention.
"Participate?"
"Yeah. After all this is the place, king was born from this tournament. So we wanted to participate here and win and then defeat the king."
"Ha"
A not loud or bad intending laugh came from lizar. As he opened his eyes again and wiped it with two fingers.
"Sorry but it felt too unrealistic for people of different land to came just to defeat king."
"But that is our reason."
"Is it the only reason? Well then sorry but I just wanted to confirm. You know as a mayor if something bad stinks then I have to do something before that smell spreads."
"No I understand. It is your duty as person before any profession."
After saying Ryo felt he had talked bit more than needed. It would be bad if Lizar made his attention of Ryo and his infinity dimension.
"Yes you are right. But sometimes your duty comes first than your moral." Lizar replied with a bit smile. A kind of no one would see if there weren't advantage.
But Ryo had to make sure he doesn't make Lizar, the mayor before his red eyes angery and catches his focus.
"Well again, sorry to disturb you can go."
"Don't mention it."
Ryo said and goes to the door to exit room, the same one he entered but not this time.
"Well—" Lizar said as Ryo was just about to open door.
"Can I ask how you got your cards. I mean your monsters your teammate Yugo had it's not even rare but miracle if you see one doing Accel Synchro summon as people like the heros like Yusei Fudo and Jack Atlas are mostly seen doing it."
"I understand. But those are his cards and we have not much of interaction because we just mate him few days ago."
Lizar frowned his mouth.
"So you are just friends for tournament?"
"No. We are friends but just meet not long ago."
"And the other teammate is your big brother if I am not wrong."
"Yeah. He is."
Silvio : "So you had your own future son registered as big brother. I don't know what to say on such situations."
Silvio didn't say out loud in his mind.
"And you are not obligated to tell me but does you two also use cards like Accel synchro?"
Lizar asked with his finger taping on table. Like expecting a answer he want to not with sudden serious expression.
"I am sorry but we can't say or announce our cards as they play crucial role for tournament."
Ryo closing his eyes bowed a little. Showing apology.
"No. It's okay, I was the one who asked though knowing."
Lizar apologed back.
"You can leave. Actually sorry to disturb. No. I don't know what to say on sensitive matters."
"It doesn't matter to me. I understand what you are trying to say."
And Ryo opened the door but before that he said.
"Sorry to make you concern. We will try not to do it again."
And Ryo left.
And Lizar, after Ryo left starred at the door and said.
"So you may make me concern huh."
And Lizar suddenly amused. As he take his hand to his chin. And said.
"I hardly see people like you these days after that day. Guess it might be worth concerning about."
He tapped the button of phone and it answered within 2 seconds.
"Yes?"
"Yusei, can you take a look from the match held just now you know. Yugo and those two. I want to see Yugo's summoning signals, how much strong signals he make and those two too, I feel shady answer from those Gods cards of their."
"Yeah. I am on it. I just left stadium to find this."
"Can't you just ask one of your scientists at there?"
"I personally am too interested. And Now you called so I have to see and analyze myself."
He said and there was sound of heavy breathing. Like he was running.
"Sorry but yeah you have point. You have to analyze too."
"And Jack also seemed interested in Yugo's duel like he was feeling something in that."
"Hm? Like he got another rival? Yugo does seem to rival the prideful great Jack"
Lizar said in funny tone but Yusei responded.
"It might be true as we don't know and nothing is certain about him."
Yusei didn't had two meaning in what he said. As if he also felt same as Jack.
Lizar felt guilty for joking around such topic.
"Find and give me results."
"Yes."
And Lizar placed the phone as call ended.
"Hmm..."
Lizar stand up from his big chair and walked to the big glass wall in place of a wall.
And his vision on the next battle but he didn't felt the goosebumps he felt from Yugo's match. He hadn't felt excited about a result of duel since long ago.
"Since Yusei and others weren't gonna participate I had my expectations far low."
His eyes on a certain team's base.
"But guess having low expectations gives more fun on results. This is gonna be fun to watch them to end."
Silence again in that room as Lizar left and room become empty.
Chapter 82 : Messenger of Dream
# Lunch Time
Time 2 : 20
"I feel hungry like never before."
Yugo said his hands on his stomach.
"Sometimes I feel you are dependable like never and sometimes I feel opposite." Future duelist said
"Me too." Ryo said looking staring at a hall.
"Taste like never. Heh."
"Really? It seemed same to me as last time."
Yugo said in excitement and Future duelist corrected him.
"When you feel hungry you like anything." Ryo said and he took one of many empty plated placed on a big table.
""Yeah."" Both agreed as they did same.
And all three took spoon and fork too.
"Hmm it's tasty."
""It is bad if you just took it and eat directly without placing it on plate let alone somewhere elsewhere.""
Ryo and Future duelist said in perfect unison.
"Like father like son. This never gets old." Yugo as he looked at the shorter compare the the bigger but both normal height figures.
"Looking father is shorter both in height and age than son is kind of something you never would had seen before." Yugo said
"I am natural for my height and I will grow more as my height becomes a bit more than him. When I become in my adult form."
"Yeah I know. I am just stretching both of your legs."
Yugo laughed and turned to see three familiar faces.
"Hey aren't you three gonna fight today."
He said looking at three people.
"Hm? OH! Hello it's been so long! We saw your duel. It was great."
One said and came forward.
"Yeah how is gonna be. I am expecting very much from your team."
Yugo said to those three he had just saved from the bullies the other day. And promised the if we win we will give them the prize money.
"By the way is everything okay."
"What?" Ryo asked to the one he said
"No when we were watching the duel we saw that this two brothers had a fight."
"What?"
Ryo turned his head to those two.
"Why didn't I heard about it?"
Ryo said
"It wasn't too big. So it's natural." Future duelist said
"We were just arguing." Yugo said
"Really?" That boy confused
And both for a second looked at each other.
# At the same time Ryo vs Obscure
"You sure Uncle? What you ate doing is okay." Future duelist said
"First, you calling uncle feels different that I am still not at that time. And final I know what I am doing."
"Is that so."
"Yeah."
Both looked and said as the cheers of crowd was just stomping on their conversation.
"Don't worry I know what I am doing."
"Is that so."
"Yeah."
"There is a chance."
Future duelist said as Yugo's attention was taken.
"Your time-line and mine are different. If we do something that is happening differently or entirely not that it will make a cross between time-lines and not just two but the once we are travling with as well."
"You mean your Dad?"
"..." Future duelist noded.
"I know consequences will be same no matter how much worlds are getting connected."
"So it isn't your concern?"
"You know these things are to be thought by people who thinks great. I do great duel. So foundation is different."
"Lookes like it."
"Besided a dream had came."
"The night obscure came?"
"No it wasn't a dream and not mine and not long ago. Just last night"
"What?"
"It was Ryo's dream he had something oy he will say you should ask him. And you will be glad."
Future duelist frowned.
"Why did you know about dream? And why would Dad won't tell me himself?"
"Well... now that I hear it does feel odd for you to call a 13 years old kid to call dad. Even through he will be in future."
"Actually he is 14 years old and I just natural talk like that."
"No he is still 13 years old. Maybe he forgot his birthday date just ask him and you will see, But it doesn't matter right now."
"So you are saying he is still 13 years old and doesn't know and you know more than current him and me."
"Come on! I know why you have come here but I will leave that topic to you, as it is your to decide."
"Guess if dad had seen us fighting it would be chaotic to make him understand without telling him."
"Yeah. But because mirage mode is activated the people at LDS wouldn't find anything and no one will tell And Ryo is going to official meeting room."
"It would made a risk as dad's micro eye had also turned on mirage mode." Future duelist asked
"I know you had turned on it. But for such to do you have to turn on each and every one so automatically his micro eye had also turned on."
"Yeah and what if they would find put something is off." Future duelist said
"I know that the mode works by users mind. Micro eye won't show what user doesn't what to show. So as long as Ryo wants to hide what he is seeing than everything is okay. Don't teste me I am on your side." Yugo said
Future duelist : "Yeah but if someone else tells what is happening and if it is different then what we see, then?
Yugo : "Don't worry. It won't happen. Who will tell anyway."
