"But it's not just about not going back." Ryo said his face fazed on outside of the big window. "D-Bike is not here, Even if somehow Yugo and Future duelist manages to duel and win the tournament then still... it would be good but what if one of them suddenly can't duel? And there is more..."
Ryo then broke that frozen expression and started to silently walk empty hallway. His hands in his jaan's pockets. And eyes staright to end of hallway.
"It is matter of time before they figured that I am not there. Even then they won't be able to find me. How are they even gonna know that I am at a different Acedmia? And not to mention Even if they does no matter when, how am I supposed to get help here?"
He got at the turning point of hallway and took a left highly relying on the fragments of memories he had, even if they were of another Acedmia.
"And not to mention I am just outsider here. And they will find a outsider, me is too a matter of time."
Ryo walked not fast nor slow.
"Not to mention getting out of this island is not possible... it is be feasible since it probably won't be as strict as my world's but the very question is same "how?" There is no boat, no way to go out and I don't have any allie let alone friend or companion."
Ryo sighed of exhaustion. And thinking what to do. First thing he understood that there aren't any deathly or un-escapabale problems and threats. And second that those things didn't changed that Ryo was still at square one, and he still had nothing to go.
For Ryo first thing was find something or someone helpful. That could aid Ryo for anything needed right now.
As he had several problems to begin with.
He had to think of something to eat. "I hadn't had breakfast. Now within 0.5 day I will start to starve." It would also comes as important.
Second he have no place to rest or even to take break. There is no telling how much time he will need and even for Ryo at best he could make 1 night without sleeping. But after it.
He had no way to get help. "At best I could hope that others will find as soon as possible that I am missing and somehow find me. Micro eyes monitors 24/7 so they would had find my micro eye is not responding. But so my D-Bike isn't there."
Ryo stopped right on track and jointed his right hand on his mouth.
"That way there is chance that they might think I am gone somewhere with my own wish. And might as well not think of this as a issue... but same way micro eye is nor showing anything so they should get tge idea."
Ryo then wrapped his hand around eachother, closed eyes and fallen into deep thoughts.
"D-Bike comes first. Without it I can't travel worlds and I need a kind of map that would help me to go where. I have to return at that Neo Domino City, where Yugo from future and Future duelist is but without a kind of compass, navigator I can't control where I will go."
Ryo clenched his teeths from his inner frustration. The more he thought the more he figured it is impossible no matter how much he tried to bend his situation.
Without him realizing he found take more steps and found himself at a duel ring.
"A duel fighting area?" Ryo muttered.
"Doesn't look that advance." He thought. "Thick-long cables around ring and cameras and lights at corners of room."
For Ryo it was very very low to even think what kind of old time he got trapped.
"Is thus supposed to be antiques or museum? I never even saw these things as duel training equipments for kids."
And then he felt a gaze of someone sharp eye from behind.
He turned and saw two people looking at him. For a moment he felt something bad but he saw that those two weren't wearing uniform either.
One was in full black, black hair and black eyes too. And face was pale white like blood wasn't flowing or was flowing in very bad amount.
And the other was in white suit and one white tie on black shirt, silver hair and eyes too. And pale face as well.
"This is astar phoenix! But that wouldn't matter right now."
The one in full black cloths approached and was in front Ryo now.
"Never saw you before. Are you new or another transfer student?"
"Chazz you are not welcoming him in a good way." Astar said.
"I am just showing him how working works here." The black clothed guy said.
"So the black clothed guy's name is Chazz? Kinda wierd name just like him." Ryo didn't say out loud his thought and shake it off.
"Looks to me that you are just peddling your cycle of new students again." Aster folded his hands and looked at Chazz with pity eyes.
"Don't make those eyes! Don't you remember who defeated you right on this very place!" Chazz said in angry voice.
"Yeah-Yeah don't get angry." Aster closed his eyes in retreat.
"Hah." Chazz mad a dark smile. "Of course I should. I am winner and yet I don't get spotlight."
"Well because you... nothing. Sorry to disturb you... ah?"
Aster said looking at Ryo definitely asking for his name.
"Should I just tell my name or give kae name? No telling fake even if there would be no proof to confirm is bad idea. Plus I already told my name to this Acedmia's Alexis, it would be bad if they know her and she told them."
"Ryoho Akaba." After saying that Ryo closed his eyes again. "Was telling Ryoho Akaba a need? Shouldn't I had just told my name and had to go? Well they will ask "Ryoho?" What kind of name is this."
"Ryoho. It's a nice name." Astar said.
Ryo opened his eyes into surprise and was taken aback.
"Yeah." Chazz said. "At start Ryo means good luck and dragon and entirely Ryoho means both though just a two person pointing." Chazz said smiling.
"Heh you know good stuff." Astar smilled and looked at Chazz.
"It's common knowledge though." Chazz smilled back.
"Yeah. For you who have ego as big as blue-eyes ultimate dragon." Astar laughed.
"You once was same."
Both laughed.
"This Chazz guy isn't that bad guy than he looks. He looked like he is the bully guy created for school school stories." Ryo thought.
And Aster with a sudden change in tone said. "Are you transfer student? You don't seem at our age. Or is there somethingyou came to know?" There wasn't shred of suspicion or anything but care and bit of worrieness.
"No I am just here for tech inspection." He blurted out on the spot.
"You mean to see if everything is working fine?" Chazz asked puzzled.
"Yeah."
"I don't think there is any problem with the system. Is this just inspection or replacement? Actually you are a tech expert. It didn't looked like." Astar said his thumb on his chin.
"Because I thought this profession on the spot." Ryo sighed from inside his mind.
"Yeah but everything is okay. Checking the working and hardware of system is need in Acedmia." Ryo said.
"Acedmia?" Chazz said puzzled. "This is duel acedmy." He pointed his finger where he was standing.
"!" Ryo was frozed for less than second. "Acedmia is just a name used to address it." He said like it was common. In normal tone.
"Well... that is good."
"But thanks for talking with me I feel good." Ryo then slowly dashed out of that fighting room."
After few lot of steps out at duel acedmy, he spotted a garden or yard. He felt that from his inside, his mind wants to rest. Ryo couldn't control his for a moment he had already departed from where he was to a big shadow of tree.
The rays of hot sun of afternoon was flaming and under the shadow it felt calm, relaxed.
The release of exhaustion.
And before Ryo thought of anything he felt, maybe this is where. The front where he saw a balcony of building.
This is where he actually first talked with Celina, though it was just to help her against unfair duel.
But remebering this slight but good memory put the remaining active consequences of Ryo into sleep.
# Acedmia
"What are you doing here?" Alexis asked to Celina with a sweet smile.
"Nothing," Celina made bit irritated expression. "It's just some meeting about my future. I am not doing anything and I am graduated so they are worried about me." She then folded her arms behind her head.
"But it is to think about what you will do after graduation." Alexis said. "After all nothing stays same you have to change too."
"But then why are you here? You were also graduated bit long ago." Celina asked with blank expression and questioning eyes.
"I am training the new people, I mean students." She replied with smile.
"Teacher? It does suit you."
"No no. I am not teacher. I am just training them, a coach actually."
"Coach but how is that different?"
"Well, I don't teach but train them about duel." Alexis too wrapped her hands together.
"Then isn't that too same." Celina still on the topic.
"It's not about teaching in class but practically on duel." Alexis gave up.
"I see. Then you are just teaching. Haha." Celina laughed.
"Ha... ha..." Alexis gave up.
"By the way, you must be having fun. Dueling while teaching. Two birds by one stone." Celina waved her hands in fighting style.
"Heh, can't deny but there is responsibility." Alexis said with her hands on her hips.
"There is saying, as long as you are having fun you will do great."
"Maybe." Alexis laughed.
Both were having fun, normal conversation. Like two friends meetings after long time just by coincidence.
And a voice came from announcement.
"Celina if you are here then come to principal's office."
And it broke the good, happy mood Celina had gotten herself into.
"Tsk, every time getting in way." Celina clunched her tounge.
Alexis saw her and said with a caring senior way. "Celina it's for your own future. You might be having fun exploring and visiting new places plus riding with your bike, but you have to make a stable future where there is no coming problems."
"... Yeah. Thanks it was fun. I will think."
"I'm not being harsh but you have to know what you don't. Sometimes taking advice is good."
"Well those things doesn't matter to me. At least not now." Celina said her arms now losen up and eyes staright to Alexis's eyes.
"?"
"You won't know what future will be. If there is predestined future then there is no point in doing anything."
Alexis was taken aback as Celina continued.
"But that is why it also is kind of fun. If everything is inevitable than there is no fun. If not than there is fun to see what you will be, how happy, you will be without knowing."
Alexis take a breath and said. "Guess there is really no stopping you."
"As if there will be."
But Alexis said. "Just because sometimes you gotta do what you don't want to doesn't mean it is against your will. You might never know and be glad you did it." Alexis said and waved goodbye with smile and hugged Celina warmly.
And warm feeling spread into Celina's a bit annoyed mind.
"Yeah." Celina said in low but sweet voice.
"By the way."
Alexis turned and said her last words.
Celina also turned.
"Future doesn't mean you have to do something, you can find something else."
And with little smile in Alexis's eyes she returned.
"What does that mean?" Celina confused but she just went to principal's office.
There was a female teacher as well to consult her and talk did go long but her decision but predetermined. Her life her way.
# Duel Acedmy
Ryo opened his eyes.
"Huh? What time is it!?"
But Ryo realized he doesn't have watch.
"Oh yeah... wait."
Then he checked again just to see if there was still his deck. Ryo couldn't believe he didn't remembered it till now. But there it was.
The very first text he saw D/D/D.
Ryo felt calm and sorrow both. Seeing his deck okay but not the deck that was his second soul.
"Guess now what?" He scratched his head with closed eyes.
And in deep thoughts, but when opened it he saw a familiar face close to him, for a second he was taken aback.
"You..."
"Yeah we just met at that trash throwing room." The short height boy said with his little mouth.
"Well... is there anything yoi want?" Ryo was pissed off and not in any mood to talk to thus guy again.
"Well... actually I asked and tried to search but I couldn't find a black bike. Sorry." After finishing he bowed again.
But there was pride in that apology.
"... thank you for your help." Ryo just wanted to end the conversation.
"No. I couldn't produce results so I don't deserve your thanks."
"Kinda then what did you even came to announce?"
"Oh yeah." The boy smulled little. "I haven't told my name. My name is Syrus Truesdale."
"Hello Syrus." It was a indirect meaning of bye but this guy didn't understand.
"Hello, it's nice to meet you. Can... I ask your name?"
"No reading of room huh."
"Ryoho. You can call me Ryo." Ryo said his eyes still half closed.
"Nice to meet you Ryo."
"Nice to meet you Syrus."
Ryo : "Is this guy a kid or something?"
"Well I should go." Ryo got up and started to go.
"Wait."
"What?" Ryo turned his head.
"Do you have a place to sleep here?"
"I can sleep wherever I feel."
"Actually... if you would be okay then you can come to my dorm to sleep." Syrus said still in little awkward tone.
"What? Why?"
"Well you looked like you are not from here and you are in need." Syrus smilled a little.
"But I am not a student of here." Without realizing Ryo said in dazed.
"Well... I thought you are not from acedmy but you don't seem like bad person and sleeping with discomfort is bad. Actually in my dorm there isn't much either hah. But there should be necessity."
After looking clearly Ryo figured Syrus had light blue hair.
"But I can't give you problem." Ryo clenched his fist in frustration on grass rethinking about himself, what he did till now.
"It's okay actually to be frank my other three roommates are actua trouble. Though I wouldn't say, please don't tell them."
"Is he trying to make me feel comfortable."
"Well okay. Thank you I owe you big one."
"No it isn't much." Syrus waved his hands very fast in denial.
""No I do. And I don't like owing anyone." Syrus flinched as Ryo finished. "So I will repay you somehow."
"Don't worry... oh yeah can I ask you why you are here."
Ryo felt he shouldn't hide. At least he should tell what he can.
"Actually I am here to find something."
"You mean that bike?"
"Yeah."
"I thought so. Sorry I couldn't."
"Don't tell sorry on everything." Ryo cut Syrus's sentence. "Take pride in yourself even if you .are mistake your couldn't do at least you tried."
"! Yeah!" He answered.
"Well the other thing is I kinda have to help someone."
"Really? Can I do anything?"
"No it's okay it doesn't have to be right now." Ryo denied with hand gesture.
"But if I can then anything better now then before."
"No it won't really help it. Ryo said because if that is predestined than there is no point in worrying."
"Eh? Then is everything gonna be okay?"
"Not like that. If there is everything predestined then it is good if there is good gonna happen but if not than you have to change it."
"But... if there is predestined then how are you gonna change it?"
Syrus asked seriously Luke predestined really exists.
"Well just change it. There is a reason why people still even if everything is predestined, if they know what will happen like water will burnout fire. Clouds won't drop rain but still they do things because of a reason."
"What reason?" Syrus was tensed.
Ryo gave a light smile.
"If everything is determined to happen then there is no fun what people doesn't want to happen. They do things try hard to let things happen how they want."
Syrus seemed like he will sweat. But he relaxed.
"Haha I Wan tensed what you will say."
"I didn't mean to. Well you could tell it is like a message."
"Messege?"
"Yeah. A message for my past self from his future self. it is message for my present, my current self that you still have to fight. And message to my future self from his past that are you fighting? Reminding him by asking him. People don't know but they know this. They don't understand but they feel it. People who does fun without predestined things. Even if they know there is failure ahead they still try. it is what doing it is."
"Amazing."
"Actually it is quite simple if you ask me."
"Ah! This is already getting late sun have set. Actually have you eat dinner? You can eat with us." Syrus smilled.
"?"
"Actually it is possible. And about sleeping. One room have four peoples place but my one roommate sometimes goes outside at night and sleeps. So you would be lucky if today."
"Heh. Guess he is like me."
"I don't know but Jaden is my great amazing friend. It is getting late we should go. I am once was but not now in same category but i still live my svhool life with Jaden and my friends at Osiris dorm it is like family to me. Af! I can see mosquitos already."
"Yeah."
And both went to Osiris dorm.
