Shadra nimbly dodged the ice spikes, its footsteps elegant yet surprisingly Bypass Aggramar's Shield, striking at Gale.
Aggramar's Shield erupted with energy, shaking off the foot pressed against it. Gale seized the opportunity, flashing to another large tree.
Nash's Fang emitted a burst of cold air, and a giant block of ice encased Shadra's belly, forcing it to sit on the ground.
Shadra let out a strange cry, "This is Nash's power!"
"mortals, you dare to steal the power of a loa? Unforgivable!"
As soon as its voice fell, Shadra broke free from the ice. It repeatedly swung its feet at Gale, unleashing countless energy blades that slashed towards him. Gale raised his shield to meet the attack but was sent flying by the immense power.
Gale flashed again, hiding behind a tree. Taking a moment to catch his breath, he immediately began to strategize.
Shadra was not as powerful as Nash, but it was clearly more troublesome.
Nash's strength lay in the immense power brought by its colossal size, with nine heads capable of attacking from nine directions. Of course, its greatest strength was its incredible regenerative ability.
Gale was able to kill Nash primarily due to two points: first, Sanction Blade countered Nash's regenerative ability, and second, Prince Farodis prevented Nash's escape. These two conditions were indispensable; without Sanction Blade, Nash could not be killed; without Prince Farodis, Gale could not stop Nash from escaping.
Shadra's strength lay in its combat skills and hard carapace. It was not as powerful as Nash, but it also did not have as many weaknesses. Sometimes, having no weaknesses was the best survival advantage.
For example, now, Gale could not find any openings in Shadra to exploit and could only be overwhelmed by its pure strength.
If not for the powerful defensive capabilities of Aggramar's Shield, Gale would have been killed countless times.
This also made Gale deeply realize his shortcomings: no matter how good a mind, without matching strength, it was useless.
How could Shadra give Gale a chance to find its weaknesses? It charged at Gale again, cleaving a large tree with a sweeping strike, then continuing its attack towards Gale with undiminished momentum.
Gale had no choice but to continue to entangle with Shadra.
At this moment, the Proto-Dragon broke free from the spiderweb and once again soared into the sky. It furiously dive-bombed, unleashing dragon breath like it was free towards Shadra.
Shadra leaped up suddenly, spraying out another spiderweb in mid-air. The web, infused with Shadra's divine power, pierced through the dragon breath and once again bound the Proto-Dragon. Shadra made several consecutive leaps, reaching the Proto-Dragon's side, raising its two front feet, and stabbing towards it.
The Proto-Dragon, disregarding its dignity, rolled on the ground, avoiding vital areas, but its wings were still pierced with two holes by Shadra.
Shadra pinned the Proto-Dragon with its front feet, then raised its other two feet and stabbed at it again. The Proto-Dragon was completely unable to move, and just as it was about to be killed by Shadra, it let out an unyielding roar.
"Roar—"
"Whoosh!"
The roar stopped abruptly as a giant block of ice encased the Proto-Dragon. Shadra's feet struck the ice block but could not penetrate it.
Ice Barrier!
Gale saved the Proto-Dragon at a critical moment.
Shadra had intended to eliminate the bothersome Proto-Dragon so it could focus all its efforts on pursuing Gale, but it hadn't expected Gale to protect the Proto-Dragon. It sharply turned its head and charged at Gale.
"Since you want to protect this crawling insect, I'll kill you first!"
"Mortal, you should not provoke a loa!"
Gale shook his shield at Shadra; with Aggramar's Shield, he was not afraid of Shadra.
"Bang!"
Shadra quickly approached and slammed into Gale, sending him flying. Unable to break through Aggramar's Shield's defense did not mean it had no way to deal with Gale. No matter how powerful Aggramar's Shield was, its energy was limited, and it would eventually be depleted. So, it changed its combat style, shifting its goal to draining Aggramar's Shield's energy.
Gale did a somersault in the air and still slid back more than ten yards after landing. This was not a solution; although there was still a lot of energy on Aggramar's Shield, there would come a moment when it would be exhausted.
But how was he to defeat Shadra?
Just as Gale was in a difficult situation, the Troll Army was slowly approaching. Shadra's sudden departure from the group let the trolls know that something big had happened ahead. So, they abandoned their supplies and accelerated their march to support Shadra.
However, they couldn't intervene in the battle between Shadra and Gale. They didn't even dare to approach the battlefield where the two were, as the power of the loa and the two artifacts could instantly claim their lives.
On the other side, Savis was also leading his army forward, seeing Shadra's massive figure from afar.
"Is that Shadra?" Tulan frowned and said, "It looks very troublesome; Gale can't seem to win."
The other Mages also felt worried; with such a loa helping, how could they defeat the Troll Army?
Savis, however, sneered disdainfully, "It's nothing but a spider!"
With that, he took out a javelin and shot it towards Shadra.
After leaving his hand, the javelin immediately shone brightly, like a meteor streaking across the sky.
Shadra felt the danger and quickly looked up. Before it could see clearly, the meteor arrived in front of it, directly piercing its head and pinning it to the ground.
"Hiss—"
Shadra roared, its head thrown back, and bodily fluids continuously flowed from the pierced area, slowing its movements. Gale seized the opportunity and immediately flashed beneath it.
Nash's Fang emitted a large amount of cold air, rapidly pouring into Shadra's wound.
The cold air entered Shadra's body through the wound, freezing all its internal organs. Shadra continuously waved its feet, trying to drive Gale away. But severe injuries and the cold air caused its movements to become uncoordinated, making it unable to hit Gale.
Before long, Shadra was completely frozen into a block of ice, unable to move.
Having dealt with Shadra, Gale finally had time to look at the weapon that had critically wounded the loa.
A javelin?
Gale was very surprised; could it be that weapon?
Just as he was about to go and examine it, Savis and his men had already arrived. Savis glanced disdainfully at the frozen Shadra, then walked directly to the javelin and retrieved it.
"It truly lives up to its name, the suramar javelin; it can kill Shadra with a single strike."
"Indeed! I thought the loa were very powerful! But they were killed so easily."
The Mages flattered him without restraint, making Gale feel sick.
However, he also confirmed the javelin's identity; it was indeed as he had thought.
The suramar javelin was an artifact created by Queen Azshara for the establishment of Suramar, and it had always been stored in Suramar's treasury. This time, with the Troll Army attacking Sin'dorei, Elisande, unable to dispatch too many troops, sent this artifact over.
By chance, the suramar javelin became the key to defeating Shadra.
