Chapter 128 - Chapter 128 Stone Giant Gardana

Metri and the others had killed all the spiders in the town, and the houses that served as spider nests were burned down.

Gale activated the Morning Light Tower's portal and returned to the Sharpshooter Camp.

Outside the Sharpshooter Camp, a tall Stone Giant was resting on a rock; he was Gaddana, the last Stone Giant Gale had saved.

Speaking of which, Stone Giants and Drogbar had a connection; Drogbar were precisely the failed creations of Stone Giants.

Gaddana sensed Gale's presence and awoke from his slumber. He strode over to Gale, "Elf, you said you could help me save the dead Stone Giants, is that true?"

Gale explained, "I only said there might be a way to save them."

"What way?" Gaddana asked eagerly.

He was the only Stone Giant left, so racial extinction didn't mean much to him. What he feared was failing to complete the mission given to the Stone Giants by the Titans to protect the world.

This mission was etched into the Stone Giants' bones and was the purpose for which they were created. They lived for this mission and died for this mission. Even if they fought to the last one, they still considered this mission their responsibility. To better complete the mission, Gaddana was lured here by a single sentence from Gale.

Gale wasn't lying; he pulled out the Hammer of Kaz'goroth. "I think you should recognize it."

"Hammer of Kaz'goroth?" Gaddana was overjoyed. "It's the artifact Kaz'goroth used to create us. You actually found it? That's wonderful."

"Don't celebrate too soon," Gale said. "Although I obtained it, I don't know how to use it."

Gaddana was a little disappointed. "Unfortunately, I don't know how to use it either."

Gale: "But you should know the process of your creation, right? Tell me about it, and let's see if I can find any useful information from it."

Gaddana shook his head. "I don't know much either; I only know that Kaz'goroth used this hammer to create many races: Stone Giants, Mountain Giants, Earth Spirits... I thought of one piece of information, I don't know if it's useful to you."

"Tell me!"

"It is said that when Kaz'goroth created us, each strike of the hammer twisted reality and changed the rules of this world, allowing us to be born."

Gale fell into contemplation. Changing the rules of reality? It sounded like Arcane.

Titans are beings of order, inherently possessing powerful Arcane Energy. If Kaz'goroth infused Arcane into the Stone Giants during their creation, it might indeed twist the rules of reality and create a race composed of stone, like the Stone Giants. This is because it violates the rules of any world; carbon-based life is what the world itself nurtures, and silicon-based life should not appear.

As he thought, Gale's eyes lit up.

Gaddana quickly asked, "Have you found a way?"

Gale told Gaddana his conjecture. "If only I could experiment."

Gaddana extended his arm. "I can be the test subject."

His arm had been torn apart by an energy storm, and it was already severely damaged, making it indeed a very good test subject. If Gale could repair his arm, then Gale could reshape the Stone Giants' bodies. With bodies, the Stone Giants would reawaken after some time.

Gale hesitated. "This is just my conjecture, and it might not be correct."

Gaddana said calmly, "You can experiment. My arm is already ruined. If you fail, it won't matter to me. But if you succeed, my injury will be healed, and there will be hope to save the others."

"Alright!"

Gale pointed to a large rock nearby. "Place this rock on your wound."

Gaddana did as he was told. Gale raised the Hammer of Kaz'goroth and infused Arcane Energy into it. He imagined repairing Gaddana's arm in his mind, then brought the hammer down with force.

"Boom!"

The Hammer of Kaz'goroth struck the rock, emitting a resonant sound. Then, Arcane continuously enveloped the rock, twisting the rules of reality. Soon, the rock merged into Gaddana's arm, mending his wound.

Gaddana moved his arm and said joyfully, "You actually healed me, Gale, you truly are a genius."

Gale recalled the feeling he just had, feeling like something was still missing. Repairing Gaddana's arm was already the limit of what he could do; that single strike had completely depleted all the Arcane Energy in his body.

If he were to repair the Stone Giants' corpses, he would probably need to use the eternal holy grail for power.

Gaddana said excitedly, "Gale, we should immediately collect the others' bodies. I can't wait to see them revive."

Gale nodded, taking out the Dominator's Sword's teleportation crystal. "Metri, collecting the Stone Giant corpses is your task. Salador will assist you."

Metri took the crystal and activated the portal. Salador immediately mobilized his army and entered the portal.

"I'll help too!" Gaddana stepped forward, also wanting to enter the portal.

Gale quickly stopped him. "You're too big; Metri can't open a portal large enough for you to pass through."

Gaddana chuckled and gave up. "If only there was a Titan Portal."

The speaker had no intention, but the listener took it to heart. Gale said, "I have seen a Titan Portal, but I don't recognize many of the runes on it."

"Really?" Gaddana said in surprise. "I recognize them. I can tell you all the runes you don't know."

Gale quickly drew titan runes on the ground, and Gaddana explained the name and function of each rune to him. Gale took notes while engraving this runic knowledge into his mind.

The knowledge of titan runes was mysterious and vast. Even if Gale was truly a genius, he couldn't understand all the knowledge and apply it at once.

Half a day later, Salador led his team back, carrying a Stone Giant corpse. Metri also closed the portal and returned the eternal holy grail to Gale.

Gale took the eternal holy grail, and after it had replenished its well water, he immediately poured all the Arcane Energy into the Hammer of Kaz'goroth.

Under the influence of the immense Arcane Energy, the space around the Hammer of Kaz'goroth twisted. Gale slowly raised it, then forcefully smashed it onto the Stone Giant's corpse.

"Boom!"

A ripple swept outwards, and space formed waves like wrinkles. In that instant, it was as if time itself was distorted.

Before everyone's eyes, the Stone Giant's corpse actually changed its appearance. The stones, which were originally scattered, suddenly appeared in their proper positions.

Then, the corpse stood up on its own and yawned!
