After the two brothers played for a while, Gale asked about the conflict between the Mages and the Druids.
Rielly said, "This is a conflict of casting philosophy. The Druids' doctrine opposes Mages using the Well of Eternity's energy to cast spells. They believe that spells should be cast according to the natural environment, guiding the elements of nature to eliminate enemies. This not only consumes less energy but also causes no harm."
"But the Mages believe that the Well of Eternity is a treasure bestowed upon the Kaldorei by the heavens. And Elune supports the Arcane, so Cenarius, as Elune's son, even if he doesn't support Elune's decision, shouldn't oppose it."
"So, the Druids thought the Mages were unrestrained, and the Mages slandered Cenarius for disrespecting his mother. At first, the two sides only argued, but later it escalated into duels, and eventually, someone was injured. Antalia then stepped forward, building two areas to separate the Mages and the Druids."
Gale frowned and asked, "What about Nalarex? Didn't I put him in charge of the Druids?"
Rielly shook his head and said, "Nalarex couldn't step in. He was propped up by the Druids, and in the end, he could only hide in Cenarius Grove."
"What do you mean?" Gale asked, puzzled.
Rielly: "You still don't know, Nalarex has now also become a disciple of Cenarius, one of the earliest Druids."
Gale was stunned for a moment. He knew that Nalarex strongly agreed with the path of the Druids. After all, in the game, Nalarex was already a Great Druid.
However, he didn't expect Nalarex to become a Druid so soon. This clearly doesn't align with the game's history, and it's because he had Nalarex meet Cenarius earlier.
This change cannot be said to be good or bad, but it will affect Nalarex's destiny. If Nalarex cannot survive the War of the Ancients, his sin would be great.
Antalia arrived at Rielly's Mage Tower upon hearing the news and reported on the situation in Andu Talla over this long period.
"Since the last allied expedition, Andu Talla has entered a new phase of development. With the supply of materials from the Tauren and Drogbar, the Forging Factory has expanded its leather armor business. The manufactured leather armor is very popular with rangers, not only being sold back to the Tauren and Drogbar but also distributed to various cities in the Empire. Although the profit is not as high as weapons, it is enough to cover the artisans' expenses."
Gale nodded, indicating he understood. He wasn't concerned about the Forging Factory's profits; he already had enough gold, and for him, it was just a string of numbers.
He was more concerned about the state of the Empire and its allies.
Antalia: "The Empire's population has increased significantly over the past few decades, especially among the nobles, who have experienced a population boom. According to incomplete statistics, the Sin'dorei population has increased by over fifty thousand, of which at least thirty thousand have already reached adulthood. Due to age, the number of Troll slaves has rapidly decreased. But how could an Empire that has already tasted the benefits of slavery allow this to happen? So, ten years ago, Her Majesty the Queen launched another eastern campaign, capturing a large number of Trolls."
"Our allies are all recuperating. The human chief Saru Solidan has entered his twilight years and has not yet chosen a successor. Moraine Highmountain passed away long ago, and his son also passed away ten years ago, so the chieftainship passed to his granddaughter Luna Highmountain. Only Turok is still alive; the Drogbar clearly have a longer lifespan."
Gale was silent for a moment. The lifespan of mortals was too short. Only a few decades had passed, and things had already changed irrevocably.
Therefore, Gale often valued the Kaldorei more, because only the Kaldorei were friends who could withstand the test of time.
"Tell me about Nalarex!"
Antalia cautiously glanced at Gale, who remained expressionless. Clearly, he had already heard about Nalarex from Rielly.
After organizing her words, Antalia began: "Nalarex led the military doctors to Cenarius Grove and became very interested after encountering the path of the Druids. He recognized the Druids' mission to protect the world, so he tried to learn natural magic, and to his surprise, nature was very close to him. After much deliberation, Nalarex decided to become a Druid. He discussed this with me and with Lady Shadowsong. We both believe his choice is not a problem. In the future, many Druids will emerge among the Kaldorei, and we need someone who can lead the Druids."
Gale said indifferently, "But is this how he leads the Druids?"
Antalia explained, "The conflict between the Druids and Mages cannot be blamed on Nalarex. Those troublemaking Druids come from commoner backgrounds. Led by another talented Druid, they have been targeting Nalarex. You know Nalarex, his magical talent is strong, but his personality is somewhat kind, so he can't bring himself to deal with those Druids."
Gale snorted and sent someone to Cenarius Grove. "Tell Cenarius to manage those troublemaking Druids. If they dare to cause trouble in Andu Talla again, don't blame me for being impolite. Also, inform Nalarex to return; the Druid district needs a leader."
"Yes!"
Antalia immediately sent someone to deliver the message, and a few days later, Nalarex rushed back.
"My Lord, I have failed your trust."
Gale looked at Nalarex. He was now wearing clothes supported by leaves, his hair disheveled, and he no longer had the elegance of a Mage. Now there was a natural harmony about him. Gale sensed that Nalarex's natural magic attainments had already surpassed his own.
"It seems you've gained a lot."
Nalarex tugged at the corner of his mouth, "Indeed, I've progressed faster than when I was studying the Arcane."
Gale nodded, "That's good."
However, he immediately changed his tone, "But you must know, you are first a Kaldorei, and then a Druid."
Nalarex was stunned for a moment, instantly realizing something.
"My Lord, rest assured, I will always be your attendant Mage."
Gale was noncommittal; he wanted action, not just a declaration of loyalty.
"I have already spoken with Cenarius. If any Druids disturb the peace of Andu Talla again, they will be severely punished without mercy."
Gale gazed at Nalarex, "You will be in charge of this matter. Don't be afraid of offending people. No matter how talented a Druid is, they cannot act wildly in Andu Talla."
Nalarex forced a smile; he indeed couldn't bring himself to be ruthless. However, speaking of talented Druids, he couldn't help but add: "Actually, Malfurion is a good person, he's just a bit stubborn and doesn't know how to adapt."
"Who?" Gale turned his head, looking at Nalarex with sharp eyes.
Nalarex was stunned for a moment, "Malfurion! He's the talented Druid you mentioned."
Malfurion Stormrage?
Gale's expression changed drastically. The protagonist of the War of the Ancients had appeared; could the War of the Ancients be far behind?
