The situation suddenly became tense, forcing Gale to pay attention.
However, a few days later, the situation suddenly changed.
Zandalar's envoys visited Sin'dorei and met Azshara. They presented a vision of peace to Azshara, hoping that the Kaldorei would withdraw their troops.
Azshara was a strong queen, and she refuted the words of the Zandalar envoy.
"The land was conquered by us; there's no reason to return it to the Trolls. If you want a truce, then we will use the currently occupied territories as the borders for both sides. If you don't agree, then let's go to war!"
The Zandalar envoy frowned and reminded her, "Your Majesty, if an all-out war breaks out, it will not be advantageous for you. Dazar'alor has more than a dozen loa, and with their followers plus the Trolls, it will be very difficult for you to win."
Savis sneered and said, "It's not as if we haven't killed loa before. Hydra Nash's head is still hanging in Her Majesty's treasury; do you want me to bring it out for you to see?"
"And Shadra's corpse has also become Her Majesty's collection."
"Although you have many loa, we will just kill them slowly."
These words made the Zandalar envoy break out in a cold sweat. He quickly said, "I cannot make a decision on this matter. I need to return to Dazar'alor to report."
Azshara nodded in agreement.
After the envoy left, Savis sneered and said, "They will agree."
"These Trolls actually hope to resurrect some Thunder God; what a joke."
"Entrusting their fate to allies, these Trolls are truly regressing."
The Royal Mages mocked the Zandalar Troll, completely disregarding them. Since their conflict with the Amani Trolls, the Kaldorei Empire had been very vigilant about the surrounding Trolls, sending out a large number of scouts to investigate the Gurubashi Trolls and Zandalar Troll.
During this time, intelligence on the Zandalar Troll came back, and the Royal Mages were somewhat disbelieving. After repeated verification, the accuracy of the intelligence was confirmed.
The Zandalar Troll had indeed gone a bit astray, perhaps having witnessed the powerful Arcane of the Kaldorei, which made them lose faith in their loa. The Thunder God was a good ally; the Mogu were powerful but had no great desire for territory. Their gaze was confined to the southern part of the continent, and besides enslaving races like the Pandaren, they were only interested in Titan Remains.
After allying with the Thunder God, the Trolls' power reached its peak. They occupied most of the continent's land, splitting into four ancient empires, each with vast territories.
However, after the Thunder God's death, the Trolls' situation worsened.
The Pandaren, along with other slaves, overthrew the Mogu's rule, and the Kaldorei Empire rose rapidly, making the Amani Empire cry for help, and also implicating the Drakkari Troll and Gurubashi Trolls. Not only did the Trolls' territory shrink significantly, but the loa they revered as gods were also slaughtered at will by the Kaldorei.
Under these circumstances, how could the Zandalar Troll not miss the Thunder God? With this mindset, how could the Zandalar Troll dare to go to war with the Kaldorei?
In less than a month, the Zandalar Troll envoy returned to Sin'dorei and agreed to the truce proposed by Azshara.
After the truce was signed, Azshara was triumphant.
Savis, however, said, "Your Majesty, although we have signed a truce with the Trolls, we cannot relax. There is still a lot of unclaimed land between the Empire and the Trolls. We must occupy these lands to compress the Trolls' range of activity and prevent them from becoming powerful again."
Hearing about territory, Azshara's eyes lit up. Previously, she hadn't realized the importance of territory, but now she knew that territory represented wealth; the mines in Redridge Mountains continuously replenished her treasury.
"Which lands can be occupied?"
Savis took out a magic map and spread it before everyone. There was an unoccupied piece of land south of Sin'dorei, and Savis said, "I will order people to occupy it first."
Azshara nodded. That land had no mineral resources, so she wasn't very concerned. Her gaze fell on the western part of the road, where there was a large area, at least a million square kilometers, of unoccupied land.
Savis: "Your Majesty, the value of this land is temporarily unknown, but we cannot let the Trolls benefit from it for free."
A Mage raised a question: "But how can we possibly occupy such a large area? The Trolls won't just stand by and watch."
Savis smiled sinisterly, "We only need to occupy the land near the Troll border. According to the truce, the Trolls cannot set foot on our territory."
The Mages exchanged knowing smiles, all revealing cunning expressions.
Azshara was in a great mood. She pointed to the forest at the very bottom.
"Let Toseyrin handle this matter and build another city here. Kaldorei civilization is brilliant and dazzling, but we don't know what dangers the future holds, so we need to store our knowledge. This new city will be born for this purpose; let's call it Ere Suras."
The Mages praised, "That name is perfect."
Andu Talla, Gale had been waiting for news of war, but instead, he received news of Azshara summoning the populace to build Ere Suras.
"Is it that sudden?"
Gale thought the Empire would have to fight the Trolls for ten or eight years before a truce. Only after the Kaldorei defeated the Trolls and occupied the western lands would Ere Suras be built.
But this unexpected news left him stunned. It was like watching a movie where the progress bar had been moved back, and the plot no longer connected.
The Kaldorei were jubilant about this; they took pride in the Empire's strength. Many were inspired by this and went to support the construction of the new city.
Gale, however, turned his gaze to Thunder Totem. Ere Suras had already been built, and Toseyrin becoming a Prince would not be far off. The reference points for the Burning Legion's arrival were becoming fewer and fewer; the only clue he could grasp was Huln Highmountain's birth.
He felt a severe sense of crisis, even a feeling of powerlessness. This caused him severe anxiety. Rielly invited Nalarex, who used Nature magic on him, which finally calmed him down.
"My Lord, what happened? What caused you to lose your composure so much?"
Gale weighed his options in his heart and said with a solemn expression, "We don't have much time left."
"What do you mean we don't have much time left?" Rielly asked, puzzled.
Gale didn't explain, but instead told them, "From now on, you must train as many Mages and Druids as possible, regardless of the cost."
Rielly wanted to ask more, but Nalarex stopped him.
Gale then sent for Kana, "You are to immediately go to Sin'dorei and monitor every move of the Eternal Palace. Report any stirrings to me."
