Chapter 111 - 111: A Chill Down the Spine

The task Braga assigned was supposed to be simple: plant a bomb on a car and leave quietly under the cover of night.

How difficult could it be? Easier than robbing a bank vault, right?

Yet the strongest two men under his command — William and Bill — were utterly defeated.

Braga was baffled.

Could Leon have been tipped off? Had he intercepted the two demolition experts?

"Boss, this situation is very strange. I sent you the video; take a look," said one of Braga's men.

Braga hung up and immediately opened the video. It was security footage from the hotel parking lot, showing the sequence of events that had just transpired.

At first, William and Bill approached the sports car. Even Braga, watching from afar, felt the car radiated a formidable aura.

It occupied two parking spaces, projecting dominance.

Suddenly, a machine gun rose from the car, targeting them automatically.

Braga's eyes widened in shock. A gun inside the car… and it moved up and down on its own?

"This is military-grade defense!" he thought.

Even the most advanced American tanks did not automatically detect threats after shutdown. Yet here, Leon had somehow implemented technology far beyond current military development in a single car.

Braga felt a cold sweat. Whoever was behind this car was no ordinary opponent.

The footage continued: William and Bill split apart, and then chaos erupted.

It was like the wrath of the gods descended. Every car in the parking lot was crushed simultaneously. Glass shattered in hundreds of vehicles, flying everywhere — more intense than any Hollywood blockbuster.

Braga's jaw dropped. His scalp tingled.

William and Bill were flattened, writhing in pain on the ground, faces twisted in agony.

"What the hell is going on?!" Braga's head buzzed. "There must be something… supernatural here!"

The video showed the two men being swept up by an invisible force, cars pushed aside, and a clear space opened around Leon's Diomas Nilo.

Then Bill exploded against the wall, a look of fury frozen on his face. William lay motionless against another car — utterly lifeless.

Hotel staff rushed out to the scene, but by the time they arrived, it was too late.

Braga was enraged after watching the footage. He could no longer sleep; his hands shook as he lit a cigarette.

He realized he was facing a dangerous opponent.

Ordinarily, he might have called off the mission.

But this time, things were different: Gisele had betrayed him, and she had allied with Hobbs. They were laughing, joking like old friends.

If Braga didn't eliminate her, she could betray him, and Hobbs could easily capture him.

"Damn it, it's just a car!" Braga muttered, eyes cold as he crushed the cigarette under his heel.

He immediately called his general.

"I need tanks, helicopters, drones… everything available."

Braga's expression was deadly serious. His voice exuded killing intent.

He listed heavy weaponry like a military operation. Anything capable of being deployed — except nuclear missiles — was now at his disposal.

It was clear: he feared Leon immensely.

The general was stunned. "Are you preparing a war? You want to deploy all this just to…"

"No," Braga growled through clenched teeth, "I'm killing one person. One car."

The general could only gape. Tanks, helicopters, drones… all for a single car?

"Do you want me to sell you an ICBM with a launch silo too?" the general joked nervously.

Meanwhile, back at the hotel, other guests whose cars were destroyed were wailing. Losing a single vehicle in that parking lot was an astronomical loss; the hotel manager was frantically calling the board for damage control. Full compensation would bankrupt the hotel overnight.

Through it all, Leon was in high spirits. The anti-theft system of the Diomas Nilo had exceeded his expectations. Anyone attempting to steal the car would be met with instant and lethal defense.

Leon sat inside his residence, three women already dressed and ready.

A knock came at the door.

"Come in," Leon called.

Shaw and Hobbs entered, serious expressions on their faces — clearly aware something unusual had occurred.

"What happened?" Leon asked.

"The identities of the dead were confirmed. They were Braga's men — demolition experts William and Bill," Hobbs said, showing Leon the data on his phone.

"They were carrying remote bombs, intending to attach them to your car. The plan was to blow up both the car and you while driving."

The three women gasped, feeling a chill as if the room temperature had dropped by ten degrees.

If it weren't for the Diomas Nilo's anti-theft system, they could have been killed instantly.

Gisele's eyes narrowed in anger. "I never imagined Braga would go this far. After all these years, he still wouldn't even give a little leeway. He just blew up his own men — and my friends too. He's cold, ruthless, and utterly merciless."

Leon nodded calmly.

"Don't worry. He won't be jumping around for long," he said, turning to Hobbs. "Any new intelligence?"

Hobbs explained that tracking the two men's phones allowed them to identify their base of operations.

However, they first had to confirm Braga's location. If the men didn't reside with him, acting prematurely could create complications.

"There's another issue," Hobbs added, tone grave. "No one has ever seen Braga himself. His deputy Campos usually issues orders. Capturing Braga requires going after Campos first. The old bastard hides very deep."

Leon raised an eyebrow.

"Then what about my car? Why were all the other cars destroyed?"

When Hobbs saw the video, even he was shocked.

If he hadn't known it was Leon's car, he might have thought the parking lot was haunted.
