Sheriff Hudson had seen a lot in his decades on the job.
From the fragments on the ground, he could already tell—
this was likely the most powerful grenade currently used by U.S. forces: the SOHG.
Back in 2015, the U.S. Army tested a new type of grenade—
a grenade that could stack.
They called it the Scalable Offensive Hand Grenade.
Its blast far exceeded that of a standard fragmentation grenade.
Soldiers could connect the modules vertically like building blocks,
creating up to a three-section mini breach charge,
greatly increasing explosive force.
The "expansion module" had a threaded neck,
which screwed into the matching threaded socket on the base module.
The "base module" had the socket but no neck—
and always came with a fixed, non-removable 3.5-second delay fuse.
One base module could connect with up to two expansion modules.
Each module carried 0.25 lbs (113g) of explosive.
Enough to easily destroy a single-room mud-brick building.
These grenades were now officially in service.
But getting them through illegal channels…
almost impossible without major connections and serious backing.
Leon noticed the sheriff's expression change and narrowed his eyes.
Did he notice something else?
"Sheriff, if you've got something to say, just say it," Leon said bluntly.
Hudson's expression was grave, but he didn't speak directly.
"Do you have surveillance footage?
I need to see it to confirm some things."
Leon nodded and manipulated his phone,
pulling up the footage of Guo Da throwing the grenade.
Just as Hudson suspected—
Guo Da had stacked two SOHG grenades together
before throwing them.
Hudson sucked in a harsh breath.
"Whoever this guy was… his background is definitely not simple."
Leon wasn't surprised.
If a top-tier assassin didn't have support,
he wouldn't have survived long in the underground world.
"Anything new?" Leon asked.
"This grenade is military's top-tier design.
Whoever provided it has major influence," Hudson said.
Influence was putting it mildly…
without near-untouchable connections,
you couldn't buy something like this at all.
"In other words, someone powerful is backing him," Hudson added.
Leon's eyes froze for a moment.
Guo Da was known to work alone.
Nothing in the data suggested he was part of any organization.
Only that some organizations had tried to recruit him—
but he rejected them all.
If he was getting help…
Then the only possibility Leon could think of was—
the Moses Terror Group.
Guo Da had come for God's Eye,
and collaborating with Moses would benefit both.
They must've teamed up.
Otherwise Guo Da couldn't have:
– acquired a high-grade SOHG grenade,
– traveled to the U.S.,
– launched an attack on Leon's house the same night he arrived.
Everything had been prepared beforehand.
Without an organization, that was impossible.
"Damn Moses…"
Leon gritted his teeth, thinking of those two bearded black guys.
Thump thump thump—
The sound of helicopters approaching.
Leon looked up—
five helicopters.
Below them came a line of black Chevrolet Suburbans,
FBI's signature tactical SUVs.
Massive, imposing silhouettes.
The glossy black front grille and Chevy emblem
looked intimidating under the beams of their huge LED headlights.
The wheels—22 inches—
were oversized to match their monstrous frames.
Combined, the whole convoy radiated a terrifying special-ops aura.
Beside them rode a squad of motor officers
on high-performance superbikes.
This was not a friendly visit.
"Get to the cars. Find a safe spot and shake them off,"
Leon ordered his team.
Then he turned to the sheriff:
"Those people coming? They're probably terrorists.
Get everyone back—fast."
"Terrorists?"
Hudson froze, stunned, reaching to question him.
But Leon's crew had already entered the garage.
The door slowly lifted—
And the townsfolk gasped as if seeing heaven open.
Inside was a sea of supercars.
Dozens of them.
Their eyes widened beyond disbelief.
All high-end brands.
Porsche, BMW, Ferrari—
and those weren't even the premium ones in here.
"At least fifty cars, right?"
"Holy sh*t, I know every brand in there!"
"So many supercars… what kind of monster garage is this?"
"This whole garage has to be worth… billions!"
The townspeople were stunned.
None had seen this many supercars in their entire lives.
Taking a random car from Leon's garage
would fetch tens of millions at auction.
Global limited editions—
priceless.
Even Bill Gates probably didn't own this many.
Jealousy and desire flashed in their eyes—
if only they could run in and grab one…
Even looking at them felt thrilling.
VROOOOM!
Six cars ignited at the same time—
headlights slicing through the dark.
Like dormant beasts awakening.
Annika climbed into Leon's passenger seat.
Joe, Benny, Finn, and the others
piled into Tobey's and Shaw's cars.
Everyone was inside.
"Move out!" Leon commanded, releasing the handbrake.
The supercar leapt forward, hitting 100 km/h instantly.
People gasped in shock.
This acceleration…
normal cars needed two seconds at least.
Leon's car hit 100 the moment the clutch engaged.
Even launch control couldn't do that.
Racing onto the street, Leon drifted sharply,
tires shrieking with a beautiful, violent sound.
A flawless power slide.
Then Leon floored it.
Diomas roared like a demon,
a thunderous blast that made everyone step back in fear.
It sounded like a giant beast charging.
Diomas, empowered by the system,
burst forward like a tiger breaking free from its cage.
A hurricane followed its path,
sand blasting into people's faces
so hard they shut their eyes.
When they opened them again—
Diomas was gone.
Not even the town's "Black Bat" (their fastest biker)
could see more than a fading hint of taillights.
"So fast!!"
"No wonder he's the Car God!"
"Holy hell, that's faster than a bullet train!"
"Incredible!!"
Only now did the townspeople understand—
Leon's speed was not human.
It was legendary.
