Chapter 10 - HOSPITAL

Saphirra kept her arm firmly around Travier, practically carrying him as they stumbled back to the car. His weight leaned into her more than he would ever admit, his breaths shallow but steady.

When she eased him into the backseat, her heart clenched at the sight of his blood-soaked shirt. She scrambled to the trunk, grabbed an extra shirt, and pressed it firmly against the wound.

"Hold this, please," she whispered, guiding his hand over it. Her own hands trembled, but her voice stayed steady. "I'll drive us to a hospital nearby. ... Stay awake, Travier. And don't you ever dare close your eyes."

He gave a faint smirk despite the pain. "You sound scarier than the men who jumped us."

Tears pricked her eyes, but she forced a shaky laugh. "Good. That means you'll listen."

She closed the door, hurried to the driver's seat, and pulled onto the road, her knuckles white on the steering wheel.

At the Hospital, Saphirra wrapped her arms around his torso while her other hand held his arm that was around my neck. Saphirra helped him walk inside the hospital and rushed near the counter; it didn't take too long for the doctor to arrive and assist Travier at the ER.

While the doctors were treating Travier behind the closed door of the ER, she waited patiently outside the door, walking back and forth.

It didn't take long before the doctor finally got out of the hospital and walked toward Saphirra.

"May I know who's accompanying Mr. Travier?" The doctor asked, which made Saphirra frown at first, but she remembers that they kept their relationship out of the public eye, especially since Travier is a model and she's just his makeup artist.

"I'm the one who's accompanying him," Saphirra said, to which the doctor nodded.

"Mr. Voldz is fine now. The wound needs to be clean, and the patch needs to be changed every hour if it gets dirty," The doctor said, to which Saphirra nodded. "And as for the payment, just go to the counter." The doctor handed me a paper for later payment, which she took before the doctor left with his nurses.

Saphirra went inside the room and saw Travier sitting at the edge of the hospital bed while holding his waist where the patch is.

Travier looked up and smiled at her. "See, I did great and I didn't fall asleep," He said proudly, which made her chuckle and walk near him.

"Still, you scared the shit out of me," Saphirra said, but there's no real bite on it, which made Travier chuckle and reach her wrist, pulling her closer.

"Well, I'm sorry for making you worry then," Travier said and wrapped his arm around her small waist.

"Well, we should head home now. You still need to rest," Saphirra said, to which he nodded and stood up, wincing in pain a little before getting comfortable.

Saphirra and Travier walk out of the room and head toward the counter, where Saphirra pays the bills. The nurses and people around were staring at Travier, and a few of them were squealing.

After Saphirra paid the bills, they left the hospital and headed straight to their car. Saphirra opens the passenger seat door for Travier and waits for him to climb into the car before walking on the other side and sitting behind the wheel. "Don't you ever do that again, Travier. I can't lose you, okay?"

Though even the pain hasn't subsided completely, Travier still manages to chuckle and smile. "You won't. I promise."
