Chapter 20 - Beast Discipline

Lena, Laura, and Liya.

The infamous triplets.

It was safe to say that everyone in Thrylak Kingdom, where Bluesky City was located, knew them.

The reason for their fame?

Well, that was about to be displayed.

The three ladies had brown hair. They also had green eyes, but each of their eyes had a certain difference.

One of them had sharp eyes. She was Lena.

The second had soft eyes... eyes that made you feel like she could never harm anyone.

She was Laura.

As for the third, her eyes had been squinted ever since she stepped foot in the room.

It was as if she was anticipating an attack or something.

She was Liya.

"Good day, students!" Lena suddenly said, snapping the students out of their daze.

She took a few steps forward, folded her arms, and then continued,

"I'm sure you all must have heard of us already. We will be your Beast Discipline teachers."

Her sisters nodded behind her.

Laura then stepped forward, her soft eyes never losing their warmth.

She smiled, then began, "As you all know, there are three aspects of the Beast Path."

She raised her right hand, after which she raised one finger and continued,

"The Beast summoning aspect."

She raised a second finger.

"The external Beast transformation aspect."

Then she raised a third finger.

"And the internal Beast transformation aspect."

The students nodded in understanding.

Lena spoke again.

"Let's give you a demonstration."

As soon as she said that, she stretched out her right hand.

Soul Energy gathered around her hand, and the next second, a huge eagle appeared in front of her.

"Woahhh..."

Gasps could be heard from the students as they raised their heads to look at the eagle.

The eagle was at least 8 feet tall. Thankfully, the ceiling of the classroom was high enough.

The eagle's wings were folded, and it was better that way, because everyone knew it would be a disaster if the eagle unfolded its wings.

Lena walked forward, now standing in front of the eagle.

She gestured towards the eagle. "This is my summon, and this is an example of the Beast summoning aspect."

"Now," Laura said, "I'll show you an example of the external Beast transformation aspect."

She raised her hands, and suddenly, her fingernails elongated and transformed into sharp talons.

Her eyes became slit-like, taking on a predatory gaze.

But that wasn't all.

WHOOSH!

Black wings suddenly sprouted from her back, some of the feathers falling onto the floor.

With a smile, she continued,

"I can make the wings bigger, but..." She looked around the room. "This isn't the right environment for that."

While the students were still mesmerized by Laura's transformation, Liya stepped forward.

That motion drew the attention of the students. They all focused on her, waiting for her transformation.

They all knew that her transformation would be the internal Beast transformation aspect.

The next second, her eyes suddenly became slit-like and took on the same predatory gaze as that of an eagle.

That was the only transformation the students could see.

No wings.

No talons.

Nothing else.

But in reality, that wasn't the only transformation.

Just like the name suggested, the internal Beast transformation aspect allowed the user to transform their internals to that of a particular Beast.

For Liya, it was an eagle.

Her eyes, muscles, nerves, and even her blood became like that of an eagle.

Which meant that she now had sharp instincts, faster reaction time like an actual eagle, and extraordinary senses.

She explained all these to the students carefully, so that they could grasp what the internal Beast transformation aspect actually meant.

It wasn't like the students didn't already know. After all, the triplets were famous, so people already knew how their Soul Abilities worked.

This was the exact reason why they were famous.

The three of them had Beast Path Soul Abilities that were tied to a single Beast: the Eagle.

Afterward, the students were told that there would be different classrooms for each aspect of the Beast Discipline class.

Which meant that those who could summon Beasts and those who could transform into Beasts would take their lessons in different classrooms.

And then, the class ended.

Raiven exited the classroom as he stared at his watch.

"I'm done with classes for the day," he muttered to himself.

Just as his thoughts were about to drift to the battle he had this morning, his watch suddenly beeped.

"The principal wants to see me now...?" he whispered after reading the message that was displayed on his watch.

He began making his way to the principal's office.

"What could he possibly want to ask me?"

Raiven's mind drifted to the boys that Tongue killed this morning.

'No, I don't think it's about that.'

No one was there when he was fighting them, and he was sure that there were no cameras there.

Raiven raised a brow.

'He could also want to talk to me about what Beast I can summon.'

Within a few minutes, Raiven arrived in front of the principal's office.

He knocked lightly.

"Come in," Klein's voice sounded from inside.

Raiven entered the office, his steps measured as he walked forward.

His eyes landed on the two individuals currently in the office.

Klein, the principal, and Josh, his homeroom teacher.

Klein was seated, and Josh was standing behind him with his usual cheerful smile.

"Have a seat, Raiven," Klein said as he gestured towards the chair at the other side of the table.

Raiven sat down as his gaze drifted to Josh, who was adjusting his glasses.

Ahem!

Klein cleared his throat.

"I'll go straight to the point. I called you here because I want to know what Beast you can summon."

'As expected,' Raiven thought. 'I knew he would eventually want to know.'

Klein placed his hands on the table and continued,

"You awakened a Beast summoning Soul Ability, and a Disaster Rank at that. Of course, it is mandatory for the Academy to know what Beast you can summon, so that it can be put down in your file."

Raiven exhaled.

"I understand."

He had already prepared himself for something like this.

Klein noticed that Raiven was about to speak, so he quickly added,

"It'd be best if you show us."

Raiven nodded.

He stood up, stretched out his hand, and the next second, a Blue-Tongue Tiger appeared beside him.

"This is my summon," Raiven said with a small smile.

Klein furrowed his brows instantly, something Raiven didn't fail to notice.

Klein could sense it... the Beast was weak.

"It's a Normal Rank Beast?" Klein muttered, his voice laced with a little bit of disappointment.

"Yes," Raiven answered, unbothered by Klein's tone.

Klein averted his gaze from the Tiger and looked at Raiven.

"Will it grow stronger?" he asked.

"I don't know yet," Raiven answered as he unsummoned the Tiger. "I guess I'm still trying to understand my Soul Ability."

Klein nodded.

"Alright. That's good."

He flashed Raiven a smile.

"You can go now."

Raiven nodded before exiting the office.

As soon as he left, Josh heaved a sigh.

"I'll be taking my leave as well."

Klein nodded absentmindedly before Josh left.

Klein was deep in thought for a few minutes.

He glanced at his watch, and the next second, he typed a few things on it.

He paused for a while, and then...

"What do you have for me, Mr. Klein?" A man's voice came from the other end.

"I've heard from the boy, Mr. Draka... I know what Beast he can summon."

Meanwhile, Raiven had already gotten to his "house" in the school forest.

He climbed the small stairs leading to the door, but before he could open it...

"Hey, Raiven..."
