Chapter 28 - The Proposal of the Ruthless King.

The early morning sunlight seeped through the tall velvet curtains of the royal chamber. Xoni and the others carefully opened the door, their steps hushed, only for their eyes to widen in shock at the sight before them.

The most feared man in the kingdoms, the heartless King—the most powerful king alive—was lying peacefully asleep, his arms tightly wrapped around Josephine, his bride-to-be. On top of them, nestled securely, was little Adris, breathing softly, a small smile on his lips. The scene looked nothing like the image of the ruthless tyrant everyone whispered about; it was tender, warm, almost unreal.

Xoni's mouth hung open for a moment before she quickly pulled out her crystal orb and captured the image. With a mischievous grin, she sent the picture to her mother, who was already deep in preparations for the upcoming wedding. At the same time, Sophina too captured the sight and couldn't resist doing the same. Across the kingdoms, invitations were already being sent out, carried by enchanted messengers and royal emissaries. The union of King Xavi and Josephine was now the most anticipated event in all the realms.

A soft groan stirred from the bed. Xavi's dark lashes fluttered open, his piercing eyes narrowing at the hushed whispers filling the room. "Shut the fuck up… she is sleeping. Jeez…" he growled in his deep morning voice.

"Sorry!" they all whispered in unison, bowing slightly.

Xoni stepped forward timidly. "Brother, King Hendrick wants to talk with you."

"Hmhmhm," Xavi murmured sleepily, dragging himself out of bed. His movements were slow but powerful, like a beast forced awake. He brushed his teeth, straightened himself, and with one last glance at Josephine and Adris, he left the room.

Josephine stirred, her lashes flickering open as Adris blinked beside her. Suddenly the whole room erupted with cheerful voices.

"Jojo? Jojo?" Adris called.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOJO!" they all chorused at once.

Her lips curled into a surprised smile as she sat up. Adris clapped his tiny hands, giggling loudly. "Happy Birthday, my Jojo!" he said, hugging her tightly with his little arms. She laughed, kissing his chubby cheeks.

That day marked something special—Adris was now 1 year old, Xoni and Xavi had reached the age of 30, and Josephine herself had blossomed into 17 years old.

Downstairs, King Hendrick and Xavi sat together, already locked in discussion.

"The wedding," Hendrick began, "we must fix the date and time."

"Next week Thursday, by four o'clock," Xavi replied without hesitation. "In my kingdom."

"So it shall be, Your Majesty," Hendrick agreed with a nod.

Moments later, Josephine descended the stairs, still radiant from the morning surprise. Hendrick opened his arms. "Happy Birthday, my baby girl," he said warmly, kissing her cheeks. She hugged him lovingly.

"Happy Birthday, love!" Sophina added, embracing her tightly.

Ceillie had prepared a cake, frosting glistening in the candlelight. She hugged Josephine tightly before presenting it. Everyone gathered as Josephine blew out the candles and cut the cake, feeding slices to those around her. When she approached Xavi, who stood by the window with a cigarette lazily hanging between his fingers, she tapped him gently. Without a word, she placed a piece of cake inside his mouth.

He caught her fingers, licking them in a deliberate, slow, and sinful way, his lips curling into a dark smile.

Her heart nearly exploded in her chest. Ahhhhhhh!!!! He's sooooo freaking HOT!!! she screamed in her mind, though her face betrayed only a shy flush.

Xavi's smirk deepened. She quickly snatched the cigarette from his hand, throwing it away. She made a sign with her hands: No smoking.

"For you, I will stop," he said softly, his gaze never leaving hers. She kissed his cheek, and for a moment, the entire world seemed to fade.

By 3:08 pm, guests began arriving at King Hendrick's grand mansion. Among them came Queen Olydia, regal and commanding. She drew her son aside, her voice low but firm.

"Your old friends and your gang are returning," she informed him. "They will live with you again and attend the wedding. Even now, their old rooms are being cleaned and well arranged."

Xavi's sharp eyes softened slightly. "Thank you, Mother."

As he spoke, Josephine came down the stairs. His eyes locked onto her immediately. She was breathtaking.

She wore an olive green tulle gown with a strapless sweetheart neckline. The fitted bodice glimmered with subtle embellishments, flowing down into a layered skirt that floated around her like mist. A black ribbon cinched her waist, and her hair was tied into a neat bun, adorned with delicate flowers.

Xavi's hand clenched around the small box in his palm. He looked at the ring inside—a rare black diamond that pulsed faintly with power—before slipping it back into his pocket.

"Happy Birthday, Jojo," Nyx said, embracing Josephine warmly. "It's good to see you again, Queen Josephine."

Josephine hugged her tightly. Nyx's eyes wandered over to Callum, and she gave him a teasing wink.

Soon after, Prince Leopold entered with his men, sisters, and brothers. His presence immediately shifted the room. With caramel skin, sharp dark hair, and an arrogance that oozed from his every step, he greeted loudly, "King Hendrick."

Xavi's gaze hardened as he scanned the man. Hendrick had warned Leopold before. Even Leopold's father had said if the boy died in Xavi's hands, his body would simply be burned without protest.

Leopold's eyes fell on Josephine, who was gently feeding Adris in her arms. A greedy smirk tugged at his lips. "There she is."

"Don't even try it," Xavi warned coldly.

Leopold rolled his eyes and ignored him, striding toward Josephine. She clutched Nyx's arm tightly.

"Happy Birthday, Princess Josephine," Leopold said with mock charm.

She only nodded.

"May I have this dance?" he asked arrogantly.

Josephine shook her head firmly. "No," she mouthed, walking past him without another glance.

Outside, the purple moon began to rise, painting the night sky in violet hues. Josephine touched Xavi's shoulder gently.

"Yeah?" he asked.

She made a sign with her hands: Wanna dance?

"Yeah, sure," he answered, leading her to the dance floor. Their movements were slow, graceful, intimate.

"Should I ask you to marry me in front of everyone?" Xavi murmured.

Josephine's heart skipped. Is it possible? No, no, no… He's the most powerful, ruthless king. Can he propose to me in front of everyone? No! His honor, his pride, his title… I must protect it. She shook her head no.

Xavi chuckled darkly. Then, to her horror and awe, he suddenly stopped.

The music cut. The room fell silent. Everyone stared as the ruthless King Xavi dropped to one knee.

"What the actual fuck?" Ceillie whispered to Queen Olydia, both women stunned.

"Will you marry me, Ms. Josephine Hendrick?" Xavi asked, his voice commanding the room. He pulled out the rare black diamond ring, its gleam unmatched.

Josephine's breath caught. He actually did it… this man is insane, daring, impressive.

"I do want to marry him…" she thought wildly. Slowly, she nodded.

"Yes."

The hall erupted in thunderous applause. Xavi slipped the ring onto her finger, sealing it with a kiss before everyone.

"Wow… my brother actually did this. Unbelievable," Xoni whispered.

"Yayyyy! Jojo is my Mama now!!!" Adris squealed, clapping joyfully.

But the joy was cut short. Leopold stormed up to Hendrick. "This means war," he hissed, before storming out.

His brother, Clark, quickly approached Hendrick, bowing apologetically. "We will make sure he doesn't do anything stupid." With that, they left.

Later that night, Ceillie gathered the children, holding their little hands together as they smiled for a family picture. The magic orb captured the image, forming four glowing frames. Tess kept hers beside her bed as Noah wrapped his arms around her. Callum tucked his in his room at Ceillie's house. Piere smiled at his frame alone in his chambers—until King Raden suddenly walked in.

"Hey, baby boy," Raden whispered.

Piere stiffened. "What are you doing here? What if someone sees you?"

"So what if someone sees me?" Raden replied, stripping off his suit. He grabbed Piere by the neck and kissed him deeply, pushing him back into the bed as they fell together on the bed Stop...Piere said ~shhhh~ Raden said as he took both their clothes off and shove his think inside Piere ass ouch...Piere said as Raden cover his mouth and began moving faster inside him Piere held Raden arm tightly as the Pleasure consumed him his eyes rolled back Piere is the kind of elf that can get pregnant through his second asshole as Raden whispered in his ear: Good boy He said as he release his milk inside Piere making him to tremble.

Piere took Raden cock into his mouth as he growled at him Piere sucked him fast as Raden said Faster...Faster!! And filled Piere mouth with his milk as they collapsed on his bed wrapped around each other.

By sunrise, Josephine was feeding Adris again. She took him downstairs where everyone was already busy, making lists of wedding preparations.

"The Grand Wedding will happen in the Kingdom of Noctyra," Xavi declared firmly.

Josephine tickled Adris, who giggled and admired her as she put him back to sleep. Ceillie handed Xavi a book.

"All of Josephine's favorites are here," she said.

He bowed slightly. "I am grateful for you accepting my proposal for your daughter. I promise to take care of her, be with her through thick and thin. This, King Xavi promises to you."

Tears glistened in Ceillie's eyes. "Thank you, child," she whispered, hugging him.

Soon, the black, blue, white, and purple royal carriages arrived. Josephine stepped into the black one, where Xavi waited with Adris in his arms. All her belongings had been packed, her chambers cleared.

Ceillie waved, tears spilling as Josephine waved back, her eyes brimming.

"She will come soon, love," Xavi whispered, wiping Ceillie's tears. "And you will visit her every weekend."

The carriages began to roll. Their next destination: The Kingdom of Noctyra.

For the most anticipated event of all—the wedding of King Xavi and Queen Josephine.
