Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Young Danzo’s Victory!

"Lord Emiya will leave Konoha."

The high command of Konoha had already determined it was inevitable. Yet, none could find a reason for him to stay.

Before leaving, Emiya Shihara devoted himself to treating patients at Konoha Hospital, imparting valuable medical knowledge to the village. Even his assistants, who had been watching over him, felt a twinge of shame at being unable to match his dedication.

Of course, Senju Tobirama would never have such emotions. He bore the responsibility of Konoha on his shoulders and always chose plans that benefited the village above all else.

---

Two young men stood at Konoha Village's Training Ground No. 3.

The young Sarutobi Hiruzen and Shimura Danzo, fresh from Tobirama's intensive short-term training, faced each other. At fourteen or fifteen years old, they were rivals once again, just as in their ninja academy days.

"Danzo," Hiruzen said sincerely, "let's stop this fight. I don't want to hurt you."

"Think you can win?" The young Danzo gritted his teeth, humiliation and anger flashing across his face. "Hiruzen, don't underestimate me! I won't lose this time!"

The outcome was uncertain. In the past, Danzo had lost more often than he had won. But this time, after rigorous training, he had mastered new techniques and honed his skills to a higher level.

At Tobirama's signal, Danzo charged, drawing his ninja sword and slashing forward.

"Still so impatient…" Hiruzen smiled, pulling two shurikens from his pouch and throwing them at tricky angles.

The shurikens came from left and right, but Danzo deftly blocked one with his sword and deflected the other by swinging the hilt. He had long studied Hiruzen's shuriken techniques and was well-prepared for this moment.

Everyone had to admit it—Hiruzen was a true top student. His mastery of the basics—chakra refinement, physical techniques, shuriken throwing, three-body techniques, and ninjutsu—was flawless.

Clang! The sound of metal against metal rang out. Hiruzen's fingers curled around a kunai to block Danzo's sword. His expression turned serious.

Danzo swung three times in succession, but Hiruzen's kunai blocked every strike.

"You've learned swordsmanship…" Danzo said with resentment.

"Just some basic swordsmanship," Hiruzen replied modestly. His short kunai clashed with Danzo's long sword effortlessly, a demonstration of his skill without arrogance.

Danzo's pride flared. His attacks forced Hiruzen back, and he unleashed a fierce wind-style jutsu:

"Wind-Style: Vacuum Wave!"

Even though Hiruzen ducked, a sharp aura severed some of his hair.

"This is dangerous!" a bespectacled boy next to Tobirama exclaimed, worried for their friends.

Senju Tobirama shrugged. "Battles between ninjas are never gentle. One mistake can mean death."

Tobirama knew that if the two became truly furious or their lives were threatened, he could intervene. After all, he was known as the fastest ninja in the world.

But he also realized something—Danzo's fighting style was aggressive and ruthless, even toward friends. Against anyone but the exceptional Hiruzen, Danzo's wind-style ninjutsu could have inflicted serious damage.

---

"Wind-Style: Shuriken!" Danzo created a diamond-shaped shuriken, infusing it with wind chakra.

"Earth-Style: Flowing Bi!" A stone wall rose, blocking the attack.

Tsk! Danzo frowned, leaping over the wall to slash at Hiruzen hiding behind it. Snap! A piece of wood split under his blade.

"Substitution jutsu…"

Danzo's eyes searched for his opponent. Suddenly, he was kicked, and his sword flew out of his grasp. But he recovered, grabbed his attacker's ankle, and sent them flying with a powerful swing.

"That was unexpected, Danzo…" Hiruzen rolled to his feet, smiling.

"I didn't waste all my training," Danzo said coldly, pulling out a kunai. With his chakra running low, he pressed for a decisive close-quarters strike.

"Wind Style: Vacuum Sword!"

A gust of wind formed into an illusory sword. Danzo charged, and Hiruzen drew a kunai in surprise, preparing for another intense clash.

---

The fight was more intense than ever. Special training had increased their strength, but the final outcome remained similar to previous battles. Recognized as Konoha's next generation of elite ninja, Hiruzen's mastery of taijutsu and swordsmanship crushed Danzo's last hopes.

At the end, Hiruzen's fist hovered in front of Danzo's eyes.

"It's over… Danzo."

Hiruzen showed mercy, using defensive ninjutsu to avoid harming his friend and relying on physical techniques to decide the fight.

Danzo sneered. "Do you really think you've won?"

Then something unexpected occurred. A black pattern appeared on Hiruzen's arm and spread across his body, restricting his movements.

"Seal of Self-Binding," Tobirama explained. "When you touch an enemy during a break in combat, a cursed seal is placed. Once established, the caster can activate it to instantly restrict the opponent's movements."

Tobirama's voice announced the verdict:

"Monkey, you've lost. You underestimated your opponent. Come with me, both of you. I'll brief you on your next mission. This mission could change the future of Konoha and the ninja world."

---

There are many types of seals. Orochimaru uses natural energy and even soul fragments, while Danzo's techniques, like the Self-Karma Binding Seal, are chakra-based and highly advanced.
