Chapter 53 - Author Thought's

Wow… we made it to the end of Volume 1. 51 chapters — I still can't quite believe it. When I started writing The Sunshine I Fell For, I wasn't sure if anyone would care about this quiet, lonely boy named Ryuzí and the loud, stubborn sunshine that is Suki. But seeing people click, read, and come back has meant the world to me. Even if you've just been silently following along — thank you. Truly.

This is my very first BL story, and posting it was scary. Ryuzí's pain, Suki's relentless warmth, all their awkward firsts — they're pieces of my heart, and sharing them felt vulnerable. But watching the view count slowly grow reminded me that someone out there is reading, maybe smiling a little, maybe feeling less alone.

The name The Sunshine I Fell For came because Suki is exactly that — a beam of light determined to reach Ryuzí's dark and quiet world. It's about finding warmth when you least expect it, about learning that maybe love can be patient and gentle and still change everything.

Some readers might have noticed a couple of intimate scenes in this first volume. Just to clarify — although Ryuzí and Suki are still in high school, they are not minors. They are both over 18 within the timeline of the story. I wanted their closeness to feel natural and safe while also showing that love can grow into something deeper and more physical once there's trust and understanding.

Volume 1 was about breaking down walls and learning to trust. The next chapters will explore love with more honesty, vulnerability, and deeper connection as these two continue to heal and grow together.

Thank you for reading and giving these boys a place in your heart. If you've been silently following, know that your presence means so much. And if you ever feel like leaving a tiny 🌻 or just a quick "hi," I'd love to know you're here — but no pressure at all.

Here's to the next chapter of Ryuzí and Suki's story. ☀️🧡
