—Udaygiri Safe House 2—
"Lock all the doors and windows. Don't open for anyone until I return," I told Swapna as I guided her out.
"Where are you going?" she asked.
"There's one last thing I need to finish before I can rest easy."
With that, I turned the jeep and headed toward my destination—
—The Kailash giri Ruins, Lord Shiva's Temple —
The Shiv lingam waited in the bowl of the ruined sanctum, smooth and black, carved words catching the moonlight.
Above, the bats hung like a living curtain. Below, the floor smelled of petrol.
If it wasn't for those words, this temple can make someone a millionaire with its natural oil reserve.
Well, Sorry Lord Shiva.
Saying that I light up the matchstick and throw it on oil. The bats woke, They didn't just scatter. They exploded. A thousand wings beat in a panic, a thunder inside the vault.
One brushed my face, claws scraping the sleeve. The flame pushed higher. The bats made a wall of dark shapes that passed over my head, over the lingam, into the hole in the roof. Their shrill cries punched the air.
Traps activated from their movements. A faint click under my boot. "Shit!"
A panel in the floor slid away and a spear hissed up from the below. I rolled, catching the lip of stone, and felt my ribs protest. Another trap tried to close behind me: a net snapped taut, teeth of metal woven to bite. I cut the rope with the corner of a weapon and kept moving.
The fire spread faster than I expected. Oil soaked the carved floor, then leaked into the side chambers. Old timber, blackened but dry, took at a single touch. Flames found the draped banners with the temple sigil and turned them into torches. Heat hit me full in the face. The moonlight dimmed behind a new cloud of smoke.
I didn't look back. The carved words over the lingam—the promise of Atma Lingam and Akash Ganga—had to be erased. I don't want another Hero trying to stop me from my goal.
The stone steamed; the runes gleamed red for a breath, with this I can be sure the letters themselves will be erased. Heat slashed at my face. Small stones dropping from the ceiling.
The temple answered with its last defenses. A set of ancient valves, exposed by the crumbling masonry, burst. A jet of smelling oil shot into the air and found the flames. For a long, terrible moment, the entire sanctum lit like a bell. Fire rode lightless channels, swallowing carved niches, licking through the inner sanctum where the Atma Lingam's legend had been kept.
I ran for the exit. The passage I'd come through was already narrowing with smoke. My lungs burned. The bats hit me one last time, confused and blind. A shard of falling stone grazed my shoulder; blood ran hot. I staggered into the doorway.
But I didn't stop until the ruin stood between me and the glow. The temple bellowed, not with sound but with light.
I watched the flames eat the runes until the smoke hid them. Then I turned away. With this I am the only person that can go inside that temple.
Next day—Udaygiri Safe House 2—
"You only have two options, give me that Atma Lingam or all of you die here right now."
Virendra Bhatia sat in front of me, voice calm, his eyes fixed on mine.
It was early morning when he arrived, his convoy breaking the silence of the house. Armed men spilled into the safe house, each carrying an AK-47, their fingers rested on the triggers.
The Hell, Movie was Nothing like this. I knew he wouldn't kill me, but I couldn't say the same for Swapna. One of his men had the barrel of his rifle pressed against her temple. The sight made me a little tense.
"I know you won't kill me," I said evenly. "I'm the only one who knows the rules. The only one who can get you inside that temple."
His expression faltered. For the first time, I saw hesitation across his face.
"Hey, fools!" Virendra snapped, his voice turning dark. "Guns down. Now."
The soldiers lowered their weapons, but their eyes stayed sharp. Virendra leaned forward, his voice softening, almost desperate.
"Name your price. One million… ten million… or I'll sign over every bit of property I own. Just, do one thing for me. Bring me inside that temple."
The greed in his tone was undercut by something else: fear.
Fear of die.
I nodded once. "Fine–
As I was saying, Bhatia cut me off "But we wait until Shiv Purnima. That's the only night the temple will open and before going inside, will sign the documents, naming all my properties to you."
Swapna hearing this burst out. "Hey, old man what if you kill u–
"It's Ok Swapna, Bhatia I Agree." I calm down Swapna while agreeing to Virendra Bhatia.
His shoulders relaxed as if he'd already won. He didn't realize yet that, he will be the one dying that day.
So we waited.
The days passed under the watch of his guards. Swapna stayed close, her eyes asking questions I couldn't answer. Virendra spent the nights pacing, muttering about eternity, about conquering death. He didn't eat much. Didn't sleep at all. His hunger was larger than his body, and it grew each hour.
And Finally, the long awaited moment Shiv Purnima arrived.
The Sky that night was filled with stars and the faint sound of bells drifting from the valley. The moon rose bright, Virendra gathered his men, and we moved as one toward the temple that had waited centuries for this night.
Swapna walked beside me, hands bound, though I could see Virendra's grip loosening, as he thought he no longer needed her as leverage.
When we reached the temple gate, the air itself seemed to change. It was cooler. The carvings along the walls glowed faintly in the moonlight. I stopped at the threshold and turned to Virendra.
"This is where the rules begin. Once we step inside, there's no turning back. And only two people can enter." I lied about last part but who knows that other then me.
He smirked, waving his men forward. "Do you think, I am a fool?"
"Then why don't you try, sending your men up the stairs."
Virendra did say a word just signal his men. And the next thing that happened Shocked everythone.
Those who goes up, they didn't come back but their heads sure did and turned into particles.
"So, Do you still want to try again." I said
Virendra pushed me forward. "Fine, I will go with you."
"Then Sign this document and transfer all your funds in this account and before you say anything, we only have an hour before The gate closes itself."
He didn't have a choice other than obeying my order and with this I become a Billionaire.
Virendra's anger snapped. He screamed and rushed towards me, gun raised. "If You Play any trick remember, I am just behind you."
With Bhatia Following Behind we Passed every Hurdle and Place Atma Lingam in his place with Panchmukhi (Five Headed Snake) Guarding it.
Finally The Akash Ganga Descend and Abhishek started, I took out a Glass and filled it with Ganga jal, before Bhatia snatched it.
I throwing him back. As he hit the ground hard, blood spilling from his lip.
Virendra crawled forward, voice breaking. "It's mine! I deserve it!"
"You know, I don't hate you but I hate Your thought of trying to kill my woman."
Virendra reached for his gun again. But I already started drinking Ganga Jal. I feel heat radiating from my body as I feel overflowing power within myself.
"Hah? That's it." It must be because of my Already awaken powers.
(like Varun from Rudraksh)
"Let's test it." Saying that I tried using my telekinesis on Bhatia, before I was only able to lift small things. But now It's not a problem to lift Hundreds of Kgs of Weight.
I throw Bhatia directly under Atma Lingam, seeing Lord Shiva Appearing, I leave the temple.
As I exit the temple, all Bhatia men Aim there Rifle at me.
"I will only count to three and even after that, if you all don't drop your weapons it will be very bad."
"Three"
All startled, without letting them say anything, I released my aura. Making them Kneel except Swapna. I Heard the bone crushing sound. But I didn't care as I was drunk in power.
"Hm?"
'Rakt Tadim Tadim Tadim kaliiii—
Slap!
I didn't feel any pain but got snapped out from that voice.
"Thanks for that." As I said those words Swapna hugs me. Letting me relax and also making my aura retract as I don't want to harm her.
Because I just got this Power so it will take few days, before I can fully understand it. And like that Shiv Purnima also ended.
