Well a few people are being sour already saying that Daud is looking 'pathetic' getting beat in a lot of situations. Kinda expected this but I could care less.
Clearly, those people never read a story before, an actual one that doesn't reveal everything at first glance or bothers to follow with it and prefers MC's having 100% favourable and plot forced narratives and stories that never impose any harm.
I am not one of those authors, if my mc dies, he will die. I dont care about plot armour or if you don't like the mc getting owned, let me remind you.

Daud is NEVER in his original true form.
He has only been in that form at the very start of the story and since then he has not.
Its made clear that in any other form than the original Chimera form, his forms are heavily reduced in capabilities.
Additionally, lets say that you were to obtain Shapeshifting today. Would you be able to change your anatomy and biology in a way that it doesn't kill you?
For the story, I'll have the forms broken down into multiple categories based on the power levels
Unrevealed form (post chapter 60s (no specific chapter given when it will appear))
1 - Chimera form - Highly Unstable and fully unable to become without the animalistic urh3s of all the DNA he was spliced with raking iver his sanity (His mind was unstable and his first awakening. Eveeeryone would have been killed had he properly been awakened and his birth process was interrupted so his Chimera form never finished developing properly but it has now inside of Dayd over time ro the present.)
2 - Lord of Golden Flames - post Children of the Force chapters, he is occasionally trying to learn to control this form and is partially successful.
3 - ETC Forms (Any other form that is not the other categories. Even if he can shapeshuft into a Zilo Beast, it is weaker than the one's above and Lord of Golden Flames Form in its untapped potential that HAS NOT BEEN DRAWN OUT YET.)
4 - Dragon form
5 - Non-Dragon form (etc any other form that is above size of a Human and approaching the size of small ships or Republic Walkers)
6 - Humanoid form (Daud common use)
7 - Human sized animalistic forms (like Viperwolf) (while the form is good in some areas such as improved speed, the drawback is the reduced physical strength and endurance that form can take.)
For statistics I have broken them into this:
Vitality - Health Regeneration and amount of damage taken before death
Stamina - kinda obvious
Durability - his scales retain the same level of durability across all forms, however. The area of coverage will decrease depending on what form he transforms into, and his Viperwolf form compared to the Thanator form, has the scales thinned down to the point its more like skin across the body, while the 'skin' is still durable as before, the 'gaps' of scales will more easily be breached so a Lightsaber could potentially stab into him as a Viperwolf, let that be very clear. In his Thantor form he is larger and the scales are more prominent as such he is impervious to the lightsaber and also blasterfire from PIERCING through
Endurance - pain tolerance but also pushback resistance (aka poise in gaming terms), such as the recent chapters, he may have near impervious Durability. But he can still be pushed back and pinned by sufficient force and impacts. Superman for example in many iterations, tanks a explosion or a tank shot and takes 0 damage as he is invulnerable but his body still feels the impact and is blasted off balance and into a nearby building.
Strength - weight lifting and overall strength limits
Striking strength
Speed - running or flying movement/travel speed
Thinking and Reaction speed - remains the same as his Human mind as Shapeshifting his brain will kill him, while it is possible. He is not proficient or mastered or even attempted this due to the risks
Combat Reaction speed - this however is improbable with time
Dexterity/Agility - reflexes and flexibility
Let this be very clear. And if you forgot, as a Viperwolf, they live on Pandora...Pandora is a incredibly toxic and has nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide in it's atmosphere.
And sleeping gas used on human beings, do you actually think it would work on a Viperwolf? Like the form Daud is in? Stacked with the capabilities he has and the fact a Viperwolf has gills for its respiratory system.
So could sleeping gas actually knock out a Viperwolf with no prior anatomy or biological analysis like the gas Cad Bane used on Daud? Answer, in next chapter.
