Chapter 48 - DSPH Chapter 48: The End

"Tengen-sama, urgent information!"

A female ninja with a high ponytail, a voluptuous figure, and beautiful features hurried into the room.

"Urgent information?"

Tengen rolled out of bed, took the report, and quickly scanned it.

He was tall, nearly two meters, with a muscular but not bulky build. His short silver hair was tied back with ornaments, and his features were handsome and striking.

He was the Sound Pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps, and Yoshiwara was his assigned territory.

"Upper Moon demons fighting each other in Yoshiwara?"

After reading the report, Tengen's gaze sharpened, but his brow soon furrowed.

Something was wrong!

Upper Moon demons were rarely seen, yet suddenly two had appeared. This was highly unusual.

More importantly, the Twelve Kizuki were Muzan's direct subordinates. Why would they fight each other for no reason?

"Could it be a trap?"

Tengen quickly considered another possibility: "Could it be related to Aoki?"

Since the Pillar Meeting, Aoki had been a focus of his attention. He and the other Pillars had analyzed Aoki's strength afterward.

Having killed Lower Moon Three while being hindered by Upper Moon Three, Aoki likely possessed strength comparable to an Upper Moon.

"Let's make this flamboyant!"

A smile spread across Tengen's face. He picked up his long swords and strapped them to his back.

"Hinatsuru, report this information to headquarters immediately. Have Oyakata-sama send reinforcements. Remember to note that one of the parties is suspected to be Aoki!"

"Tengen-sama, what about you?" Hinatsuru asked, her face worried.

Tengen grinned, his eyes resolute and bright.

"I'm going ahead!"

Whether it was Aoki or the Upper Moons, they were crucial targets.

He had to seize the opportunity!

...

Boom!

A large hole was blasted in the roof. Sharp blood blades sliced wildly, sending tiles and splinters flying amidst swirling dust.

Aoki appeared behind Gyutaro, throwing a punch like a cannon shot, the air vibrating with a thunderous roar.

Gyutaro didn't have time to turn. His body jolted, and a torrent of blood erupted, forming slashes that swirled around him, creating an even larger meat grinder.

"Blood Demon Art, Arched Jumps!"

Aoki ignored the blood blades tearing at his arms, his fist slamming into Gyutaro's head.

Bang!

Half of Gyutaro's head exploded. He forcibly kept himself from flying away, swinging his blood sickles in a backhand arc.

Aoki's arms had already healed.

"Aoki Style, Death Calamity!"

Clang, clang, clang, clang!

The two exchanged blows rapidly, fists and blood sickles colliding incessantly.

Gyutaro gritted his teeth, but his attacks were quickly faltering.

His technique was more refined, but his strength was far inferior.

...

"Too strong!"

The short-haired youth gripped the roof tiles tightly, trying to overcome his trembling.

He knew demons were far stronger than humans, but these two demons, especially the black-haired one, had completely redefined his understanding of demons.

"Can humans really fight monsters like this?" the short-haired youth muttered.

Even from this distance, the terrifying aura made his limbs cold, and he felt no will to resist.

The long-haired youth took a deep breath. "Demons are monsters, the Twelve Kizuki are monsters among monsters. Ordinary members like us can't handle them, but the Pillars can!"

"The Pillars?"

The short-haired youth's eyes lacked confidence.

He had never seen a Pillar.

But even if Pillars were strong, they were still human.

Could a human body really contend with such powerful demons?

"Damn! It's about to be decided!"

The long-haired youth's expression changed. He couldn't worry about his companion's thoughts.

...

Bang!

Aoki landed a heavy punch, sending the blood sickles flying. Gyutaro's body arched backward uncontrollably, leaving his chest wide open.

"Aoki Style, Tempest!"

Aoki's movements shifted, his attacks suddenly becoming as fierce as a storm.

Thud, thud, thud!

Holes erupted across Gyutaro's body, but his expression grew even more manic.

The torrent of blood spurting from his wounds suddenly coalesced, forming swirling vortexes.

To trouble the traitor, he had to inflict massive damage at once, slowing his regeneration, buying time for him and his sister to escape.

The next moment.

Gyutaro's gaze froze.

"Did you forget something?"

Before the blood blade tornadoes, Aoki's figure appeared, materializing above Gyutaro's head.

"Damn it! Damn it all! Does his ability have no limitations? Why? Why was a demon like this born?"

Gyutaro gritted his teeth, his face twisted with intense resentment and unwillingness.

A cold gust of wind swept past, and his head fell silently.

Blood sprayed from the wound, forming a storm of sharp blades that shot into the sky.

Aoki's figure flashed, appearing to the side.

"It's time to end this. Aoki Style, Tempest!"

Fists, elbows, legs, knees... attacks rained down like a storm.

Gyutaro flew through the air, crashing heavily to the ground. His body was like a tattered doll, his flesh destroyed, his regeneration completely collapsed.

"Cough, cough, cough!"

The head, rolling nearby, coughed up blood.

Aoki marveled, "He hasn't lost consciousness yet!"

The stronger the demon, the less human they were.

Newborn demons easily lost consciousness from blows to the head.

Daki, after her body collapsed, would also fall unconscious.

But these Upper Moons, it seemed, could only be rendered unconscious by true death.

"Cough, cough, cough, my... my sister?" Gyutaro asked.

Aoki glanced at him, walked to Daki, picked her up, and tossed her next to Gyutaro.

Gyutaro's fingers twitched, barely grasping Daki's hand. His expression suddenly became much calmer. He rolled his eyes, looking at Aoki again. "I never thought I'd die by the hands of a demon."

Aoki said, "Don't worry, you won't be alone. Soon, Muzan will join you!"

Gyutaro stared at him deeply, then slowly closed his eyes.

"I don't know the locations of the other Upper Moons."

"Too bad."

Aoki sighed. He had hoped for an unexpected bonus.

But, oh well.

He couldn't expect to have all the good things in the world.

Aoki extended his arm, placing it over Gyutaro and Daki.

"Devour!"

An invisible vortex appeared, swallowing them whole in the blink of an eye.

[Strength +1.]

[Free Skill Point +1.]

[Killed Upper Moon Six Gyutaro and Daki, gained 1500 experience points.]

[Congratulations, you leveled up!]

"Attribute points, skill points, 1500 experience points, as expected of an Upper Moon, so juicy! And this was just the Sixth Seat. I wonder what rewards I'll get for killing Kokushibo?"

A hint of anticipation flickered in Aoki's eyes.

Of course.

He was just thinking about it.

With his current strength, he probably wasn't a match for Kokushibo yet.

Glancing at the two Demon Slayer Corps members lurking on the distant rooftop, Aoki's figure vanished.
