Chapter 85 - DSPH Chapter 87: Portable Space

"I'm back!"

Aoki looked at the system panel, a familiar feeling washing over him.

He had a portable space now!

He could store items, rest, and even escape danger.

It was like having his own little world.

He had to test it out.

Aoki thought, and the world around him changed.

He was in a small, square space, about ten meters on each side. A two-story building stood in the middle, lanterns hanging from the eaves, casting a soft light.

"This is part of Infinity Castle?"

Aoki murmured.

He had taken a piece of Infinity Castle with him when he devoured Nakime.

It wasn't as big as Infinity Castle, but it was valuable.

"I've skipped the portable item era and gone straight to the portable space era!" Aoki said.

Portable items were essential for killing, looting, and robbing!

This space wasn't just for storing things.

He could hide here if he was in danger.

Entering and leaving the space used the same time and energy as Space Mark Traverse.

Aoki went inside the building.

It was furnished and ready to live in.

He wouldn't need to sleep outside anymore, even though he didn't need to sleep.

Aoki thought and returned to the real world.

"I should buy supplies and stock up, just in case.

But I'm a demon. I don't need food. I can buy more sake, so I don't run out."

Whoosh!

Huge black bat wings spread from his back. Aoki flapped his wings and shot into the sky.

...

Asakusa.

Night deepened.

Tamayo sat at her desk, looking through a microscope, writing in her notebook.

Yushiro walked in. "Madam Tamayo."

Tamayo didn't look up. "Upper Moon Two's blood has much more Muzan's blood than Upper Moon Six. I can improve the poison."

Yushiro scoffed. That guy had killed Upper Moon Two. He was a little strong.

But he was still annoying for disturbing his time with Madam Tamayo.

Tamayo put down her pen, her eyes shining. "Maybe we can defeat Muzan soon!"

She had killed her husband and children centuries ago. It still hurt.

She would give anything to defeat Muzan!

She had escaped Muzan's control with Yoriichi Tsugikuni's help.

She had searched and waited for four hundred years, but she hadn't seen hope.

She believed they could succeed if they gathered the power of like-minded people.

But that day was far away. The wait was long. She wondered if that day would ever come.

Until she met Mr. Aoki.

That day had been ordinary. Their meeting had been uneventful.

But her four-hundred-year-old dream had started moving forward.

From Lower Moon to Upper Moon, from Upper Moon Six to Upper Moon Two, the distant dream was getting closer.

"Meow!"

A familiar meow woke Tamayo. She looked down. A calico cat appeared, and she looked surprised.

"Chachamaru?"

Yushiro said, "Madam Tamayo, on its back!"

Tamayo looked at the small bag on Chachamaru's back. It was bulging.

"More blood? Is it another Upper Moon?"

Tamayo's mouth opened slightly. She looked confused.

Mr. Aoki had sent Upper Moon Two's blood recently. It had only been a week. He had killed another Upper Moon?

Were the Upper Moons lining up to be killed by Mr. Aoki?

Tamayo came to her senses and took the bag from Chachamaru.

She looked at the two blood collection devices, filled with blood.

"Two?"

Tamayo checked quickly.

It was Upper Moon blood.

One was from Upper Moon Three. One was from Muzan's new Upper Moon Six.

She was surprised and pleased.

Mr. Aoki had killed three Upper Moons in about ten days.

How had he done it?

Yushiro was stunned. "Is that guy a monster? There are only six Upper Moons. Has he killed half of them?"

Tamayo realized it too.

Only three Upper Moons were left. Many Lower Moons had died. Muzan's Twelve Kizuki system was collapsing.

Muzan hated change, but this was more than change. Mr. Aoki had destroyed his system.

He must be furious.

Tamayo clenched her fist.

Not enough!

It wasn't enough to make Muzan angry!

His sins had to be paid with death!

"I have enough blood. I need to meet Mr. Aoki and discuss what to do next," Tamayo said.

Yushiro was reluctant, but he thought. "We can't contact him directly. We can have Chachamaru carry a letter. He'll see it next time he summons Chachamaru."

Tamayo thought and nodded. "Let's do that!"

It might take a while, but it was the best they could do.
