Chapter 94 - Ignis

Andy loaded the magazine into the Ignis and took it to his dedicated weapon testing ground, which he had built specifically for experimenting with weapons and equipment.

In this vast weapon testing ground, there was a target at regular intervals.

The most frequently tested items here were mainstream weapons on the market, various types of firearms; no matter the model, they would be tested here.

This was because Orokin Technology researchers needed to understand the weapons before they could create appropriate protective gear against them.

Holding the Ignis, Andy went to a secluded spot where there were few people, so he didn't have to worry about harming others.

He pulled the Ignis's trigger, and a stream of extremely hot Fire shot out from the muzzle.

The blazing Fire continuously extended from the muzzle, stopping only after spraying for over twenty meters.

At the end of the Fire's spray, the Fire had expanded to a meter wide.

The intense heat made Andy sweat profusely, and the Fire even warped a metal target.

After stopping the Fire spray, Andy saw that the Ignis's black muzzle was slightly red.

Fortunately, it was only slightly red from the heat and hadn't deformed; otherwise, Andy would have had to consider if he needed to switch to a different weapon to clear out the Vampires.

Holding the Ignis, Andy went forward to examine the extent of the metal target's deformation.

The warped metal target had been burned from a flat panel into a curved surface.

Moreover, the super-high temperature left by the Fire still lingered around it, and after just a few minutes, Andy was driven away by this terrifying heat.

He simply couldn't stand that temperature; it felt like standing in an active volcano, uncomfortably hot.

However, he had also witnessed the destructive power of the Ignis and the high temperature it carried.

Although its range was not as far and its killing radius not as wide as military flamethrowers.

The Ignis could spray continuously, and its reloading was also extremely convenient.

In contrast, portable military flamethrowers could only spray for a few seconds or three to ten times.

Not only was the spraying time short and the number of sprays limited, but fuel reloading also required a certain amount of time.

Even for mechanized flamethrowers mounted on armored vehicles, their fuel loading was a huge problem.

Compared to the flexible Ignis, perhaps their attacks were more intense.

But their short spraying time and the drawbacks of fuel loading also meant they could only provide distant support, attacking enemy strongholds.

They each had their strengths, and their individual strengths also compensated for their shortcomings.

Of course, the biggest advantage of the Ignis, besides its flexibility and convenience, was its ability to integrate Amplification Crystals.

After integrating Amplification Crystals, the destructive capability of the Ignis would become even stronger.

The Ignis's shooting test was over; next, Andy would integrate Amplification Crystals into it.

Since he had unlocked the orokin catalyst, Andy certainly wouldn't forget to increase the capacity level of his weapon.

After consuming a large amount of materials, Andy manufactured more than a dozen Orokin Batteries.

He took one of the Orokin Batteries, crafted it into an orokin catalyst, and installed it into the Ignis, bringing the Ignis's capacity level to sixty.

Andy had thought for a long time about this sixty-level capacity limit and finally came up with the optimal combination of current Amplification Crystals.

Ignis [59/60]

Maxed Serration (+165% Base Damage)

Maxed Malignant Force (+100% Status Duration)

Maxed Sinister Reach (+12m Range)

Maxed Cryo Rounds (+90% Cold Damage)

Maxed Contagious Spread (+90% Toxin Damage)

Maxed Stormbringer (+90% Electric Damage)

After integrating the Amplification Crystals, the destructive capability and attack range of the Ignis were greatly enhanced.

Moreover, to quickly kill Vampires, Andy specifically combined the elements into two types: Explosive and Corrosive.

After severely corroding the Vampires, the Explosive element would attack.

Andy had previously tested the power of the Explosive element; that powerful effect would surely blast those corroded Vampires into pieces.

Furthermore, Andy would be wearing his warframe when he went to eliminate them, so no matter how great the Explosive power of the Ignis, it would not endanger his safety.

Placing the Ignis in the display rack, Andy fell into thought, looking at the two warframes in front of him.

Both Excalibur and Volt were excellent warframes; no matter which warframe Andy wore, he could easily kill those Vampires.

After a long time, Andy finally made up his mind; he decided to use Excalibur to hunt Vampires.

Volt's attack range was too wide; if he used Volt, Andy would be constrained and unable to use his abilities.

Because he didn't know how many people the Vampires still held as blood sacrifices.

Excalibur's abilities, however, were much better; as long as he didn't use the Illustrious Sword for indiscriminate attacks.

Other abilities could be unleashed, as he was personally going to kill the Vampires.

He wasn't merely trying to clear them out; testing the warframe's combat effectiveness was also one of his goals.

Lying on the sofa, Andy rested, waiting for nightfall.

Only at night would a large number of Vampires come out to activity, and only then could Andy find them more quickly.

Waking up, the night outside the window was deep.

"Audis, what time is it now?"

Andy casually asked, then opened Excalibur's display rack and began equipping himself.

"It is currently twelve twenty-seven forty-two AM. Are you going out in Excalibur?"

"Yes, to clear out the remaining Vampires and test his combat effectiveness."

Moving his body in Excalibur, Andy equipped himself with the Ignis and the Empty Blade.

"Keep in touch, Audis."

After saying a word to Audis, Andy leapt from the balcony.

After Andy left, Audis was talking to himself in the lab.

"Well, now I'm the only Orokin left. Let me think, what should I do now?"

"Emmmm, maybe I could check the entire New York surveillance system. This might help Master."

A street block on the edge of Hell's Kitchen

This place was a chaotic mix of people, so disorganized that even the lowest-level gangs in Hell's Kitchen disdained to seize it as their territory.

Several figures dressed in black were stealthily wandering the streets; from their crimson eyes, it was clear they were Vampires.

"Joyce, how much longer do we have to do this? I hate this situation."

A small Vampire complained to his companion.

They had traveled thousands of miles from Europe to America, and after only a few comfortable days, they were in this current predicament.

The ruffians in Hell's Kitchen were like madmen, searching everywhere for them.

And there were also many Vampire hunters who had come from Europe; the dozens of blood slaughterhouses they had painstakingly established were all eradicated.

A tall Vampire frowned, looking around, and only relaxed when he confirmed no one was nearby.

He lowered his head and said to the small Vampire, "Be careful, you idiot, don't attract those people. Also, who was that person you took me to catch a few days ago? His punch still hurts me now."

As he spoke, he rubbed his chest. A few days ago, they couldn't resist and decided to go out and catch some undocumented immigrants to fill their bellies.

Who would have thought they would encounter such a powerful human? Under the siege of the three Vampires.

Not only did he not fall into a disadvantage, but he even repelled all three of them. Only he endured a punch, leaving a wound on that human's body.

Now that the commotion had passed, he planned to ask the Elder of his clan to hunt him down. That Elder particularly liked to eat such powerful humans.
