Chapter 96 - Kind Matt

Seeing Matt's hesitant expression, several Vampires couldn't hold back.

Too many Vampires had been captured these days, and they didn't want to die here.

"He's lying to you! We just wanted to rob him. He doesn't look like a good person at all."

One Vampire, pinned to the wall by Andy, yelled loudly, trying to confuse Matt's thoughts.

The other Vampires also agreed repeatedly; they were just human thugs now, not Vampires.

Right! They weren't Vampires.

The excited voices of the three Vampires echoed in Matt's ears, causing him to hesitate.

He couldn't see the faces of these four people and could only rely on his hearing to distinguish them.

Their heartbeats had always been very steady, making it difficult for Matt to tell who the bad guys truly were.

After thinking for a while, Matt decided to call someone to help him distinguish who the truly good person was.

As for whether there would be danger, based on Matt's perception, this Mr. had no ill will towards him.

On the contrary, the three people called Vampires were full of malice towards him.

He took out his phone and dialed his friend's number, "Are you resting, Fugui?"

"No, I'm waiting to come back to treat your wounds."

In the office, Fugui rolled his eyes. Had this guy gotten into trouble again?

"Were you caught? You usually don't contact me when you go out. Where are you? I'll come bail you out."

Tilting his head and folder ing the phone between his neck, Fugui took out all the valuable items in the office.

Listening to the various sounds on the other end of the phone, Matt said helplessly, "I'm fine. I encountered some problems here and need you to help me check the situation. I should be near the street on the edge of Hell's Kitchen right now."

Learning that Matt was fine, Fugui finally breathed a sigh of relief.

There were only a few hundred yuan left in the office; if he had to bail Matt out, he might really go bankrupt.

Since Matt needed his help, it meant the situation there was not bad.

At least there was no need for a fight, otherwise, even a useless person like himself would just be sending himself to his death.

Riding his bicycle, he rushed towards the street Matt mentioned, pedaling the bicycle pedals quickly.

Perhaps he should buy a car, but the office's income was simply too low.

There was no extra money to buy other things; even this bicycle was borrowed from a neighbor, for which he paid ten yuan as rent.

Thinking of the neighbor's face when lending the bicycle, Fugui pouted.

What a stingy person. This bicycle was already so broken, yet he still charged money.

He never charged Matt for legal consultations, so why did borrowing a bicycle cost ten yuan in rent?

The more Fugui thought about it, the angrier he got, and his movements on the pedals became faster.

The old bicycle couldn't bear Fugui's great pressure and let out an unpleasant creaking sound, as if it could fall apart at any moment.

After Matt hung up the phone, he said to Andy, "Sir, please wait here. My friend will be over in a while, and he can help me distinguish whose words are true."

Andy naturally had no problem with that. The Empty Blade javelin beside him lit up again, pinning the Vampires to the wall again before the javelins on their bodies disappeared.

The intense pain made the three Vampires curse at Andy, and Matt also frowned, showing slight dissatisfaction with Andy's actions.

"Sir, please don't do this again before my friend arrives. Don't hurt them."

His compassionate tone made Andy find it amusing. This person was not only blind but also a saint who cared for others.

It was just a pity that his kindness was misplaced. If he hadn't stepped in to defeat these three Vampires,

He might have ended up as food in the Vampires' mouths along with that man, saying goodbye to this World forever.

"Don't worry! They won't die. These minor injuries will heal in a few minutes for them."

Hearing Andy's words, the three Vampires let out even more tragic screams.

The Vampires' screams made Matt feel a little unbearable, and just as he was about to speak to persuade them, he heard Andy's voice.

"Listen, I'm not familiar with you. I'm only talking to you calmly like this because you're a human.

It's your business to be overly kind, but don't think I'll let these Vampires go. My kindness isn't as overflowing as yours."

The Vampires' screams and this kind red-clothed man made Andy feel annoyed.

He never thought that a person's kindness could be so overflowing.

No matter who the other party was, even if they almost killed him, he would still protect them.

Although Andy respected such overly kind people, in Andy's eyes, they wouldn't live long.

It would be fine if nothing unexpected happened, but once something did, such people would lose their lives trying to save others.

He respected them because, in their eyes, the safety of others outweighed their own, and their actions deserved everyone's respect.

But in life, Andy still didn't want to meet such overly kind people.

Because some of them always demanded that others be as kind as them.

Their kindness had already overflowed to the point of restricting others, and this kind of thing was truly disgusting.

Matt, who had been sharply rebutted, stopped speaking. His strength was no match for this person; even the three pinned to the wall by him were stronger than him.

Since they were guaranteed not to die, Matt no longer paid attention to them. When Fugui arrived, he would know who the liar was.

After a long while, Fugui rode his creaking bicycle to the outside of the alley.

He got off the bicycle, panting heavily. He had been pedaling with all his might the whole way and was now exhausted.

The old bicycle let out a soft whine after he left, as if celebrating Fugui's departure.

However, from its tattered appearance, this bicycle was completely scrapped and had lost its function.

"Hey! Matt, are you in here?"

Fugui shouted into the alley. It was dark inside, and he didn't know if anyone was really there.

Hearing Fugui's voice, Matt's face broke into a smile and he replied, "Come in, we're all inside."

Taking out a flashlight from his body and shining it into the alley, Fugui cautiously walked in.

Finally, at the end of the alley, he saw Matt in a red bodysuit, but beside him stood a strange-looking warrior holding a sharp blade.

And on the wall, there were three people pinned, and from their appearance, they seemed to have been there for some time.

Looking at everything here, Fugui asked in confusion, "This is... Matt, what do you need me to do? It doesn't look like there's anything I can help with."

The situation here was normal; such things happened every day in Hell's Kitchen.

The number of drug addicts who died in alleys was also not small. If one day no one died in Hell's Kitchen, he would find it strange.

Moreover, those three people were just pinned to the wall. Seeing them screaming vigorously, these people simply couldn't die.

They were just a little injured; they could go back and find a Doctor to stitch them up.

"This Mr. said they are all Vampires, so I called you here. After all, I can't see, so I can't confirm if it's true."

Explaining what happened in the alley to Fugui, he was now also a little suspicious of whether these three people were really Vampires.

After all, he had heard the sound of javelins being pinned to the wall more than ten times. If they were normal people, they should have bled to death by now.

How could they still be screaming with such strong voices? No matter how he listened, they didn't sound like normal humans.

Vampires?

This caught Fugui's attention. Recently, he had heard about Vampires from some people in Hell's Kitchen.

He originally thought they were doing some kind of activity, but now it seemed they might be talking about real Vampires.
