Chapter 111 - The Steel-Wearing Gunner in the Tavern

After leaving the Witcher's Tavern, Matt gave Daniel a strange look.

Although they had only known each other for a short time, Daniel had always been very composed.

Even his teacher, the Stickman of the Pure Society, was treated very gently when he met Daniel, the Iron Fist of Kunlun.

Daniel seemed like a completely different person just now, becoming extremely irritable.

"Daniel, what's wrong with you just now? This isn't like you."

Daniel, who was standing in front of him, still looked angry. It wasn't until Matt asked him that he realized what was happening.

This is definitely not his original personality; he seems to have been influenced by something.

Daniel rubbed his head, channeling the power of his iron fist into his body, and calmed himself down.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what's wrong with me. I just suddenly felt very irritable. Maybe something is affecting me."

Looking back at the Witcher's Tavern, he seemed to have thought of something and said, "I felt something was wrong when the assassins from the Hand and the Guild were chasing us."

There's a peculiar energy about them that seems to be affecting me, filling me with aggression. It was the same just now. Should I apologize to Mr. Andy?

After calming down, Daniel looked apologetic; he should have explained things more clearly.

Instead of yelling at Andy like an idiot after Andy mocked him.

After all, what he said was not very convincing; on the contrary, he seemed more like a complete fraud.

He was about to go back to apologize when Matt stopped him.

"Mr. Andy is probably not in a good mood right now. I think you should come with me to see my teacher. Maybe he can give us some advice."

After thinking about it, Daniel decided to take Matt's advice.

After all, Andy's attitude just now couldn't be described as friendly; he was just trying his best to remain restrained.

The two walked together and soon disappeared into the street.

After they left, Andy dialed Kingpin's number.

As the ruler of the underground order, Kim must have known about the Hand Society.

"Hey Wilson, there are some people in Hell's Kitchen who aren't following your orders. Should I help you deal with them?"

Kingpin has already learned of what happened at the Witcher's Tavern.

He tapped his fingers back and forth on the table and said with a sneer, "They will get what they deserve. But I can give you a few hiding places for my men and gang. After all, I still have a business relationship with them, so it's inconvenient for me to show my face."

He did have some cooperation with the Hand Society, after all, the Hand Society was also a major drug den.

Every year, thousands of drug dealers buy high-purity drugs from the Hand and the Society, and Kingpin provides them with a safe route for the transactions.

However, this does not mean that the Hand and the Society can defy his will and act recklessly on his territory.

After telling Andy the location of the Hands and Guilds' hideout, King ordered the removal of the Hands and Guilds' stronghold in Hell's Kitchen.

He had to make his stance clear that no one under his rule could disobey his orders.

After hanging up the phone, Andy pulled up a map showing the locations of the hands and hiding places that Kingpin had mentioned.

These places are far apart, but they all have one thing in common: they are located on the periphery of New York.

Judging from their locations on the map, these places are not very safe, making them ideal hiding places for criminal gangs like them who run illegal businesses.

Andy didn't really care about his opponents and the association; after all, a lot of people commit crimes every day in this world.

This is not something he can stop alone; it's better to leave these matters to the authorities.

But the deal between the Hand and the vampires taught Andy that not everyone deserves to be forgiven.

In Andy's eyes, organizations like the Hand and the Guild, which have become inhumane for money, are no different from vampires, and it's better to eliminate such organizations as soon as possible.

As for that dragon bone, Andy had seen a real dragon three years ago. What power could this dragon bone, which had already turned into a corpse, possibly have to destroy the entire New York?

Just as Andy confirmed the Raiders' and the Guild's target location, Whistler pulled up in front of the Witcher's Tavern in a truck carrying Steel Lancers.

The people sitting in the tavern drinking and chatting were drawn to the two rugged power armor vehicles.

These two steel gunners are perfectly suited to Hell's Kitchen, where only a ferocious appearance and overwhelming power can convince everyone.

"Haha, Shang-Chi, go and call everyone over, let them see the latest equipment in our tavern."

Standing on the vehicle, Whistler shouted triumphantly towards the tavern, his hands constantly patting the metal shell of the Steel Lancer.

He was indeed very excited; this powered armor had been reported in the news media for many days.

Unfortunately, all their combined wealth wasn't enough to buy a single power armor unit, and besides, the Iron Watchers don't sell Iron Gunners to private individuals.

They were even less qualified to buy power armor, and now their boss was giving two Steel Lancers to the Witcher Tavern as a gift.

As a mechanic and tavern manager, how could he not feel excited?

The guests came out of the tavern and gathered around Whistler to observe the steel-armed soldier up close.

Hector's sister, Ava, clutched a secondhand DV camera and desperately squeezed her way into the crowd.

She's already tasted the sweetness of making money with videos, and now she wants to film the Iron Man and sell it for a good price again.

After squeezing for a long time, Ava finally managed to squeeze in.

She waved at Whistler and called out, "Mr. Whistler, may I film them? I'd like to make some money with my DV camera."

Ava's serious expression made Whistler laugh even harder. "Haha, no problem, you can film whenever you want. From now on, you'll be the Witcher's Tavern's ambassador."

Amidst his laughter, the steel-armored soldiers were slapped repeatedly.

All the staff in the tavern came out and looked at the two power armors next to Whistler with some surprise, but no one showed any enthusiasm.

Jessica looked on with disdain. In her opinion, these two ugly power armors were not as powerful as her own, as reported, and were not as practical as a Hellcat.

Shang-Chi was completely unaffected by this power armor; he felt that if he wore the Steel Lancer armor, his combat ability would plummet.

Seeing that everyone was not very interested, Whistler was somewhat dissatisfied.

"Watch your attitude. These two are not for people like you. They are the tavern's security force."

Although some of them possess great power, they are merely individuals and cannot protect the tavern at all times.

However, the Steel Spearman can be used by everyone. Even if all the ability users in the tavern leave one day, the tavern will still have its last strength to protect it.

Amid Whistler's disgruntled roar, the ordinary employees began to take the steel-armed soldiers seriously.

At the same time, they understood why Whistler was so excited, because this was equipment meant to protect their safety.

As ordinary people, they have neither Jessica's strength nor Shang-Chi's fighting skills.

These two steel gunners provided them with this power, which was their guarantee of safety.

Only Dr. Ethan frowned as he looked at the Steel Gunner, feeling that he needed to manufacture some equipment to arm the tavern.

These two power armors alone cannot protect everyone in the tavern.

Perhaps the Witcher's Tavern should have its own equipment, not necessarily the strongest, but at least enough to ensure everyone's safety within the tavern.

Hmm, everyone, I have some things to take care of in a few days, so I'll only be updating twice a week for now. I'll also be stockpiling some drafts. Once I've sorted things out, I'll try my best to update three times a week again.
