Chapter 177 - Two People Tormenting Thugs

The large-scale deployment of Kingpin's enforcers struck fear into the hearts of everyone in Hell's Kitchen.

God knows how long it had been since Kingpin acted like this; before, he was like a sleeping lion.

Though dangerous, he wasn't fatal.

But the current Kingpin was different; he had become extremely dangerous.

Anyone approaching him with ulterior motives would be mercilessly torn to shreds.

This was a consensus among everyone in Hell's Kitchen, as there were precedents.

Those who dared to defy him ultimately became corpses, sunken into the sea.

The residents of Hell's Kitchen were terrified, showing great unease, and everyone inwardly cursed the guy who had disturbed Kingpin.

Of all people to provoke, he just had to provoke the most dangerous person in all of Hell's Kitchen.

That was Kingpin, a true underground emperor.

With just one command from him, this place would undergo a major purge, just like the one a few years ago.

Everyone was terrified, and they all wanted to know who could possibly have such immense courage.

As Kingpin's subordinates searched outward, some gangs, second only to Kingpin, also dispatched their men to patrol.

They didn't hide their actions; after all, it was better to be direct in front of Kingpin.

Those who were glib-tongued and full of schemes in front of Kingpin had their heads crushed by Kingpin himself.

Kingpin was well aware of these gangs' actions.

He knew these people were worried and scared.

He could understand this, as that was precisely the effect he wanted.

Humans only show reverence when faced with fear.

He wasn't afraid of people fearing him, but a gang that broke his rules, he would definitely clean up.

Especially since this gang was different from others; they possessed a mysterious power.

Although that power didn't grant them any great strength, their recovery ability was extraordinarily abnormal.

It could be said that as long as they weren't killed on the spot, they could survive and continue to wear down their opponents.

While this ability didn't seem powerful, as they would die if hit in the head, it was an excellent way to strengthen his subordinates.

Of course, Kingpin wanted to get his hands on such a thing.

After all, his subordinates were quite strong, and if they acquired this body-enhancing ability, they would become an invincible army, solidifying his position in the underworld.

After Andy finished his call with Kingpin, his face was full of doubt.

From Kingpin's words, Andy could clearly tell that these people were deliberately allowed to run wild by Kingpin, but things seemed to have exceeded his expectations.

This gang, called the Hyena Gang, seemed to be made up of a bunch of dim-witted people.

Perhaps it was because they were often injured, damaging their brains.

These people seemed reckless, as if whatever they did was taken for granted.

Andy waved to Hector, who was back to clean the tables; he needed his help with something.

Seeing Andy calling him, Hector put away the wine glasses at hand and walked towards Andy.

"Help me collect some blood from these people; I need it for research."

Hector, receiving the request, took a pair of tweezers and a small bucket of cotton balls, constantly wiping the blood from these people's bodies.

Although he didn't know what Andy wanted these things for, since it was his boss's arrangement, it must have its value.

It was just that his wiping method was a bit rough; after all, no one had ever seen someone use tweezers to hold a cotton ball and forcefully stuff it into another person's wound.

This was hardly wiping a wound; with his actions, not further enlarging the opponent's wound was already considered highly skilled.

Every time he knelt beside an injured person, he would hear a chilling scream.

It was clear these people were in great pain, but no one sympathized with them.

It was just that the customers frowned at the screams, as the sound had completely affected their enjoyment of drinking.

Shang-Chi was also annoyed; he really couldn't stand the sound of these people.

He turned and walked into the storeroom, rummaging around for a while.

Shang-Chi came out with a roll of tape and a bucket of disinfectant; he had to make these guys shut up completely.

Anyway, their chances of survival were almost Zero, so there was no need to be polite to them.

Tearing off pieces of tape, he sealed all of these people's mouths.

Then Shang-Chi got some clean cotton balls from Hector.

With tweezers, he dipped a cotton ball into the disinfectant, then knelt down and said to a thug lying on the ground, "If you dare make another sound, you'll experience this feeling all over your body."

As he spoke, the disinfectant-soaked cotton ball was pressed onto the thug's wound.

The unfortunate thug's eyes immediately widened, and the cold sweat brought on by the pain soaked his clothes.

Seeing Shang-Chi's actions, Andy looked at Dr. Ethan in disbelief.

"When did this guy turn into this? I remember when he first came, he wanted to be a martial artist like a knight-errant. Now how has he become a professional torturer?"

Comparing Shang-Chi when he first arrived in America to Shang-Chi now, the current Shang-Chi was like an adult who had lost his ideals.

Ethan smiled and pulled out a harpoon from under the bar, "This was given to Hunter's Bar by a very cold man, and now he's everyone's idol in Hunter's Bar."

This story goes back a few days, when a cold-faced man named Frank came to Hunter's Bar.

He arrived at Hunter's Bar with a suitcase, as if someone had told him about the Hunter's Tavern.

So Frank went straight upstairs, dragging his suitcase into Whistler's office.

He was also in Whistler's office at the time, and they were discussing purchasing supplies from the Vatican.

Frank's knock on the door brought them back to their senses, and they were both wondering who would come here at this time.

Then they saw Frank push open the door, standing before them with his suitcase.

After introducing himself, Frank opened the suitcase he was holding.

Inside was a Vampire, almost dismembered, almost because the Vampire still had one breath left.

If it had been truly dismembered, it would definitely not have been alive.

But this just allowed the two to see Frank's superb skill; he was a super executioner who knew every muscle tissue of a creature.

Looking at the Vampire, which had been chopped into a human-pig in the box, Dr. Ethan and Whistler's hair stood on end.

They couldn't imagine what kind of torture this Vampire had endured to become like this.

Because the suitcase was opened, a pool of blood appeared on the office floor.

Helpless, Whistler had to call someone to clean up the blood, but unfortunately, just as Hunter's Bar employee walked in with cleaning tools, the scene in the suitcase made her scream and faint on the spot in the office.

The employee's scream caught the attention of Jessica and the others, and a group of people rushed upstairs to investigate.

They too were startled by the situation, as the oldest among them was only in their twenties, and the most brutal things they had ever seen were those recently witnessed in Hunter's Bar.

Such a thrilling scene wouldn't even be shown in movie theaters; although they felt fear after seeing it, it was more of an unprecedented sense of excitement, and it was then that Shang-Chi became fascinated by Frank.

In his heart, only someone like Frank could be considered a true knight-errant.

That cool demeanor was an essential quality for a knight-errant, so ever since Shang-Chi met Frank, he had always taken Frank as his role model, constantly imitating the cool Frank.

And this harpoon was a gift Frank gave to Hunter's Bar after receiving his bounty.

According to him, he met Blade while clearing out a gang in Pittsburgh.

At that time, he was surrounded by Vampires, and Blade suddenly burst in from outside.

Using a large number of targeted weapons, he managed to severely injure and capture the Vampires that surrounded him.

At the time, he found it strange why this person would capture these monsters.

But before he could speak, Blade mysteriously told him everything about this Tavern.

Upon learning that these monsters were actually the legendary Vampires, Frank also expressed deep hatred for these human-eating creatures.

Therefore, he and Blade traveled together, sweeping through several Vampire strongholds along the way.

However, all those strongholds were empty, and Blade, already accustomed to this, showed no dissatisfaction with these empty strongholds.

But for Frank, the Vampires' hiding places were not that difficult to find.

He and Blade took a Vampire, and in front of Blade and many Vampires, he dismembered that Vampire completely.

The body of that unfortunate Vampire was neatly categorized and arranged.

Aside from the blood on the ground and the neatly arranged body parts, there was nothing else to prove that the Vampire had ever existed.

The entire dismemberment process was displayed before the Vampires, who were terrified and trembled with fear.

Those with slightly better strength could even see the perfectly cut patterns.

After dismembering that Vampire, Frank took another Vampire.

He interrogated and began to operate on the second unfortunate Vampire, and if there was no answer or a delayed answer, a part of its body would be removed.

As Frank's questions deepened, most of that Vampire's body had already been carved away by Frank.

By the time he got the information Blade wanted, that Vampire had already become broken.

It was put into a suitcase by Frank and brought to Hunter's Bar as an item to exchange for a bounty.

During Ethan's explanation, the image of a cold-faced executioner appeared in Andy's mind.

Looking at the thirty-centimeter harpoon, Andy felt that this man named Frank must be a very good monster hunter.

At least Andy had never heard of anyone who could make a Vampire completely foolish.

This was definitely a great warrior, and if he had the chance, Andy still wanted to talk to this person.

He also wanted to see how Shang-Chi, a guy even his uncle couldn't control, would change because of one person's cold demeanor.

Gripping the harpoon in his hand and feeling it, Andy felt that this Frank must be an expert in human anatomy.

The combat knife in his hand felt excellent, not at all like those mass-produced industrial weapons when held.

This knife seemed to be custom-made, or rather, Frank had made some modifications to this harpoon.

To give such a weapon indicated that Frank was very satisfied with this place, as a good weapon is a warrior's guarantee of survival.

If he wasn't extremely satisfied with this place, Frank wouldn't have given his personal combat knife to Hunter's Bar.

It should be known that such custom-made and modified weapons have a higher value than ordinary weapons.

Perhaps in Frank's heart, the Hunter's Tavern was a good place, a place that could give him a sense of security, which is why he gave the harpoon to Hunter's Bar.
