230 Fifth.
A well-known bar on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Unlike those messy little bars, the prices here are easily in the thousands of dollars, a place most working-class people can't afford.
Chen Xi naturally came to such a high-end place to have some fun, at least there weren't many troublemakers to bother him.
The parking lot in front of the bar was filled with luxury cars. Although luxury cars were relatively cheap here, they were still considered extravagant.
When Chen Xi's Ferrari pulled up, the security guard at the door immediately rushed to open the door for him with a flattering smile. The more luxury cars there were, the better the business was. After all, if you see the rich are here, it means our place is top-notch.
"Sir, hello, you..."
Before the security guard could finish speaking, he excitedly covered his mouth!
"You!!"
A wave of immense surprise washed over him; he never expected to be opening the door for the greatest screenwriter of the century!
"Shh! Keep it down. Come on, help me park the car."
Chen Xi immediately gestured for silence with a smile.
"U-understood, you… you can count on me."
"Oh my god! Oh my god!"
The security guard nodded repeatedly in excitement. If he didn't want to be mistaken for a madman, he would have shouted out loud.
He felt that being able to park for such a great screenwriter was a blessing from God; he had to buy a lottery ticket after work.
Gwen, sitting in the passenger seat with wide eyes, was amazed by the security guard's enthusiasm for Chen Xi. She realized again just how unattainable the man beside her was. She even wondered if his influence and appeal could sway an election.
He could even easily surpass the former...
I'm crazy. Capital won't let an Easterner trample over everyone else. That would be the end of the country.
Gwen quickly suppressed the dangerous thought; it was not something a commoner like her should comment on.
To avoid causing a commotion, Chen Xi put on sunglasses before entering the bar. This was much better.
The bustling bar didn't offer private rooms without reservations.
Although he could get a reserved room with a single word, he was here to let Gwen have fun and experience a world she hadn't seen before. Booths were fine.
This bar did very little marketing; its reputation meant it didn't need to. The performances on stage were entirely up to the guests.
"What would you like to drink?"
Chen Xi asked with a smile, but Gwen's gaze was completely fixed on the golden-haired girls writhing on the stage; their unrestrained enthusiasm made her envious.
"Why can they be so uninhibited? I envy people who are so fearless."
"Because they've let go, that's why they can be so free."
Chen Xi said with a smile, implying something.
"Ugh! Don't think of others like that."
Gwen wasn't stupid. She immediately gave him a look of disdain. She understood what Chen Xi meant…
"Haha, you're right. Come on, order whatever drinks you want here. How about a cocktail?"
Chen Xi changed the subject, pointing at the drinks menu.
"No, I don't want cocktails. I want some hard liquor I've never tried before, hehe."
Gwen immediately refused. What was the point of cocktails?
"Alright, suit yourself."
Chen Xi shrugged. As long as you can handle it, I don't care.
It's not me who's going to get beaten up when we get home anyway. George Stacy is probably already mobilizing the police to look for Gwen, right?
"Hehe, great, then I'm going to fleece you."
Gwen, who hadn't seen much of the world, stared at the hard liquors she'd never tasted before, like Angus Dula Wine and Johnnie Walker Whiskey, with her eyes shining.
"Tsk tsk, you really aren't afraid of getting beat up."
Chen Xi said admiringly.
"Beat me up? Who? George? He wouldn't dare!"
Gwen pouted unhappily, she wasn't afraid of him.
"Alright, you just keep talking tough."
Chen Xi teased, he clearly saw the anxiety and eagerness in this girl's eyes…
Soon, the beautiful waitress brought the ordered drinks. Gwen was not at all polite, pouring herself a glass directly.
Chen Xi laughed, watching Gwen roll her eyes from the spiciness. This girl was really a newborn calf not afraid of the tiger, this was fifty degrees!
"Haha, eat some snacks quickly. Who starts with a 50-degree spirit right away?"
"Hahaha, it's so spicy, so spicy!"
Gwen was panting from the spice, sticking her tongue out…
Fortunately, the bar provided a fruit platter and snacks, which could neutralize the spicy stimulation.
Not convinced, Gwen poured another glass of wine. She didn't even look at the price, not knowing a single glass cost thousands of US dollars…
Angus Dula Wine wasn't as strong, more suitable for a beginner like her. Chen Xi watched Gwen's flushed face and squinting eyes, finding the girl so charming and cute when she was drinking.
At this moment, Gwen, in high spirits, said the bar's music was intoxicating and wanted to drag Chen Xi to dance.
Chen Xi wasn't very interested in this request, but there weren't many good people on the dance floor. He still followed her.
Drunk Gwen tossed off her coat, and her alluring figure immediately drew a chorus of lecherous whistles. The onlookers' eyes lit up.
However, their enthusiasm waned when they saw Chen Xi. Although Chen Xi wearing sunglasses in a bar seemed pretentious, and the lighting was dim, the multi-million dollar watch flashing on his wrist was enough to dissuade them.
Whether they were social elites or rich kids, they wouldn't risk offending a young man like that over a woman.
"How could he be..."
Standing by the railing on the second floor, a woman of elegant grace, enough to make others feel ashamed, looked at Chen Xi with surprise. Just her perfect curves were enough to make anyone fall for her, right?
Gwen's dancing skills were naturally superb; it seemed girls from these countries all knew a few moves.
After a dance, it seemed she still wasn't satisfied. The music seemed to ignite something within her, and after being a good girl for so many years, one could imagine how much pent-up desire she had to express...
Just as Gwen was lost in the moment, Chen Xi noticed a blonde-haired man approaching. Was he looking for trouble?
"Hey! Kid, your girlfriend is pretty good-looking. Can I have her join me for a drink?"
The blond guy, apparently a few drinks in, leered at Chen Xi, making a crude remark and clearly not taking him seriously.
"Boss, should we break this damn blond guy's legs and throw him out?"
The burly man beside the woman, built like a bear, spoke coldly. Anyone daring to offend their most honored guest shouldn't be surprised by their ruthlessness.
"No need. You won't be able to beat him."
The woman shook her head lightly.
"Impossible, him?"
The burly man, hearing this, immediately glanced at the skinny blond guy with a very unconvinced expression.
"He's a Mutant."
The woman said with a smile, but the curve of her lips was enigmatic...
A soft sigh escaped her: "What a lucky girl!"
The burly man was completely baffled. Wouldn't they be in danger the moment they encountered a Mutant? How could she say it was lucky?
